      • 철도 프로젝트 핵심 시스템의 안전성 평가에 관한 연구

        Railway is being revaluated as a future oriented transportation which enables mass transit of passengers and logistics with its environment friendly and economical characteristics under the virtue of better safety and punctuality. Recently, various kinds of light weight rail system including MAGLEV have been introduced and also new technologies are being applied to signalling and communication area. For this reason, it is very hard to secure the safety of passengers, public (station facilities users) and rail operators with the existing experienced-based knowledge. In case of various stakeholder involved in current private financing project at Korea and abroad, safety assessment by international notified bodies which contain objectivity and professionality is becoming more common. In this study, introduction of independent safety assessment process to secure the safety of rail project and rail safety assessment methodology through case study from Seoul Metro Line 9 will be presented.

      • 시스템 엔지니어링 프로세스를 적용한 철도 프로젝트 관리

        Most of rail projects have suffered from many issues and problems, usually resulting in an increase of the project costs and/or time scale associated with the project. Today rail projects have much clearer business objectives than the past and face with a difficult situation under which various stakeholders and more complicated technologies are to be reflected and the ways to secure operational competitivity are to be taken account from the start of a project as well, but rail projects are rarely to achieve both the long-term operational performance objectives of railway - reliability, availability, maintainability and safety (RAMS) - and short-term project delivery objectives - cost and time - at the same time. In cases where the long-term objectives are compromised to fulfill the short-term objectives of a project, it will result in the increase of operational cost due to the deterioration of the overall performance of the railway. In order to deliver what is required in rail projects which cannot avoid the compromise, it is essential to apply a systems engineering approach including system requirements definition, implementation and verification & validation over project lifecycle. This paper is to identify disciplines for a systems engineering approach to be considered from the start of a project and suggest systems engineering processes to be applied over it's lifecycle.

      • 틸팅차량 주행안전성을 위한 동특성 해석 알고리즘에 관한 연구

        It is very difficult to analyze the dynamic characteristic because tilting vehicle is a very complex system which are connected various mass element with tilting system. To realize and analyze actual phenomenon has restriction that usual commercial software calculates creep force under creep theory about wheel ?rail contact mechanism as basic analyzing, and approach about contact point are based on two dimensional non-linear contact theory and simplified Hertzian contact which considers just displacement change on the YZ plain. Therefore, to solve these problems there should be a new approach difference with existing one. In this research, a new algorithm for finding wheel-rail contact position, calculation method of contact force and applied force will be presented.

        In order to facilitate technical exchange among nations and/or institutes through the establishment of mutual recognition and the reliability guarantee of testing results by testing standards standardization, the interlaboratory comparison tests on brake discs and linings between KRRI and CARS were conducted. So far, two ways of comparison tests were performed for a better understanding of mutual recognition and standardization in railroad brake linings between Korea and China. In this paper, the first and second comparison testing results have been summarized, and the suggestions for the future research work are also presented to encourage extensive research on comparison study of railroad brake discs and linings between KRRI and CARS.Eventually, the final goal of the current research will be the establishment of standardization of railroad testing standards.
