In this study, a solution heat exchanger, which is one of the components of a LiBr-H₂O absorption heat pump, was selected as 60° and 30° chevron angle brazing type plate heat exchanger, and its performance was experimentally measured. The low-temperature side mass flow rate of the solution heat exchanger was fixed at 350 kg/h, and the high-temperature side mass flow rate was varied from 150 kg/h to 750 kg/h. LiBr-H₂O concentrations were set to 59% and 54% in the high-temperature and low-temperature solutions, respectively. As a result of the experiment, the overall heat transfer coefficient and effectiveness were compared according to the change in the mass flow rate on the high temperature side. As the mass flow rate on the high temperature side increased, the overall heat transfer coefficient increased and effectiveness decreased and then increased.
