지하철 차량 실내디자인의 편의성과 안전성 증진요소 분석
진미자(Mi-Ja Jin),한석우(Suk-Woo Han) 한국철도학회 2007 한국철도학회논문집 Vol.10 No.6
This study identifies visible/invisible factors and analyzes facilities, structure, and visible perceptive contents in the aspects of operation and efficiency with a focus on the interfaces between interior design of the subway and users. More specifically, it diagnoses the requirements and empirically presents improvements. As the interior design in the subway trains is for the public reflecting the value, consciousness, and behaviors of users, it should be approached through the application of the concept of universal design that considers the potential needs and psychological satisfaction of users. In arranging the indoor of the vehicles, the conditions for the facilities should be specified through the interdisciplinary approach from professional fields including ergonomics and psychology, the path of flow should be induced through the use of space and the analysis of passengers’ behaviors, an integrated planning should be re-established, and continuous evaluations of basic guidelines, manuals, and requirements should be made.

Serving a function of transportation information and geographic information together with proper composition of design elements, railway route maps have to be designed to easily recognized to the concerning passengers as they offer users to access to the guide information. This study analyzed visual aspects of the maps of 8 underground routes linking Seoul and urban cities(Dl - D8) and the maps of 8 different cities overseas (Al - A8). As a source of information with condition of easy recognition, universality and aesthetics, route maps should be designed and consistently managed by the manual which establishes the principle of the logical system and the standardized form.

This study identifies visible/invisible factors and analyzes facilities, structure, and visible perceptive contents in the aspects of operation and efficiency with a focus on the interfaces between interior design of the subway and users. More specifically, it diagnoses the requirements and empirically presents improvements. In addition, this study aims to diagnose the interfaces between trains and users by reinterpreting and evaluating factors from the perspectives of users, and to elicit the universal interface and an objective form of conceptual, structural, and formative relations in regard to the conditions required to the design. As the interior design in the subway trains is for the public reflecting the value, consciousness, and behaviors of users, it should be approached through the application of the concept of universal design that considers the potential needs and psychological satisfaction of users. In arranging the indoor of the vehicles, the conditions for the facilities should be specified through the interdisciplinary approach from professional fields including ergonomics and psychology, the path of flow should be induced through the use of space and the analysis of passengers" behaviors, an integrated planning should be re-established, and continuous evaluations of basic guidelines, manuals, and requirements should be made.

Since adding design elements to train manufacturing technologies creates addition of high value, it is necessary to develop design for FRT with increased convenience of transportation by rail, which is a new paradigm. Therefore, an evaluation model for increasing convenience of the interior of FRT should draw the requirements of such design and their importance and supply logical basis for setting standards of establishing convenience of system and evaluating and measuring them. In order to evaluate design elements such as interior layout and arrangement of facilities, the model, of which commonness and subjectivity have been verified, should be presented. In consequence, this study going to more concretely focus on new values and sensitive technologies, application of availability and visual communication.

This study focuses on the physical environment and human activity of the user of train toilets, on the analysis of factors needed to obtain reasonable toilet design and it also focuses on the understanding of the interface between its user. Moreover it proposes a module of the development process and methods of approaching the User Toilet Interface. The study so presents a design standard under which the concrete data of the characteristics and practicable range and the convergent demands accelerate to the module could be confirmed and criticized.

Isotype should be carried out together with the function of explaining procedures, processes, usages, etc. accurately. Because it is a semitic semantic-information-intensive object as an representative example of non-verbal communication, it must meet formative conditions for conveying the various meanings of symbolic contents retained in it suggestively. In this way isotype is a common language with visuality, attention and universality, expressing definite contents in specific images. That is, it is necessary to establish a visual perceptive standard, design guidelines and required conditions and to implement systematically by stipulating rules for management. Thus isotype used in FRT, which is designed for easy perception of concepts, procedures, methods, structures, etc., can contain all factors used in the expression of information.
