        한국 여자농구 전성기(1956-1979)의 역사적 고찰

        After liberation Korean woman basketball made a playing tour of Japan, and won a complete victory over Japanese teams which gave a hope to Korean people who wanted to start new history over the mortification of history. In 1954, Korea Bank formed the first women's basketball business team which was a beginning point of the golden age of woman basketball. From 1954 to 1979, Korean women's basketball achieved excellent result in international competitions included the golden medal in 1967 Tokyo Universiad and silver medal in the 5th World Women's Basketball Championship, those were memorial achievements in Korean sport history. During that period of golden age, Korea woman basketball made a solid foundation for popular sport. Result of those solid endeavor, people love woman basketball more than any other woman sports. There were some factors which made the golden age of woman basketball. These factors were: First, forming business basketball teams gave women's players opportunity to play basketball continually after graduating high school, Second, in 1960s, there were three big superstar players, Park Sin-Ja, Kim Mung-Ja, Kim Chu-Ja who leaded Korean woman basketball team to the world level. Third, For prosperity of women's basketball, Korean Basketball Association had hosted various international competitions sponsored by Korean government. The most important factor was that Korean people gave full support and love woman basketball. The purposes of this study were to understand the history of golden age of Korean woman basketball, and recognize importance of Korean women's basketball in Korean modern history, A historical study of the golden age of Korean woman basketball will provide an opportunity for recognizing of Korean women basketball by historically, socially, and culturally. That is the significance of this study.

        한국 초창기(1911-1945) 여자 농구의 역사적 고찰

        The purpose of this study is to analyze Korean woman's basketball in the early years(1911-1945). Basketball, invented by James Naismith was introduced to Korea in 1907 by YMCA physical educators, and to women in 1911 Woman's Basketball in the early years had some significant aspects in terms of historically, socially, transitionally. There are some results from historical analysis of Korean Woman's basketball : First, the game of basketball brought an opportunity to reexamine woman's physical activities and health when there was no special physical activities for women. Second, for better playing basketball, it had to change transitional costume to uniform which was a typical interpretation for woman's liberty and freedom from feudalistic transition. Third, in the 1920s, woman's basketball had quickly developed to inter-scholastic tournament which contributed to developing modern Korean sports. Fourth, under the Japanese imperialism woman's basketball could have contributed to national pride, and inspired national spirit from beating Japanese schools in inter-scholastic tournaments.

        I did relative comparison by selected Play and Sport among five activities domains of physical education in this study. This study came to a conclusion by a deductive analysis through a purpose of study to thesis the theory of physical education basised on characters of these both. In this study, I did summarized what $quot;the theory of physical education is a necessary theory in alteration of human in the direction of a desirable person through a intentional physical activities$quot;. I did chose Play and Sport among five activities domains of physical education for this purpose of this study. The essence of play was demonstrated that it had a nature of instinct and a nature of freedom based on the purity, and the essence of sport demonstrated that a nature of selection and a nature of regulation base on the competition by a logical reasoning. These both(Play and Sport) created recreation to the leisure domain in both work and rest of human activities. I could validated that these all beginning with play activities. Also the origin of sport beginning with play. Because by these things, I could demonstrated that sport was immanented in a homogeneity too. But Play and Sport have a heterogenetic characters by performance-purpose or method and regulations etc. In spite of these thing, I indicated that these activities must be center a physical activities. Therefore, we must excepted from the theory of physical education, general concept of play, that is to say, non-physical activities. Also recreation have got to draw a line to the object of the theory of physical education by only physical-active recreation with a limited physical-motor activities. Besides, sports must be thesis by a definite limitation from these general-human activities by only pure physical-motor activities of human, in etymological meaning of a broad sense.
