Salmonella typhimurium에서 MudJ(Km.lac) 오페론 융합을 이용한 삼투유도유전자의 발현

MudJ(Km.lac) operon fusions were used in the identification of osmotic-inducible genetic(osi) loci in Salmonella typhimurium. Expression of osi::lacZ(osi5001, 5027) genes were dramatically induced 39-189 fold when the osmolarity was increased. Seven osm::lacZ genes were constituvely expressed under both low and high osmotic strength. The osi5001::lacZ fusion strains showed the enhanced osmotolerance and the reduced expression of the osi5001::lacZ in the presence of 1mM proline or betaine as osmoprotectants. Four osmotic inducible genetic loci were mapped into 36 (YK531), 44 (YK504), 57 (YK501) and 84 (YK528) map unit by testing the cotransduction frequency.

국내 전력시장에서 현 혼잡처리방법은 혼잡비용(congestion cost)을 부가비용(uplift)형태로 전력 사용량에 비례하여 시장 전체의 모든 소비자가 부담하고 있다. 반면 다수의 해외 전력시장에서 채택하고 있는 지역한계가격(Locational Margnal Pricing)방식은 혼잡으로 인한 비용을 시장 참여자들에게 차등적으로 배분하고 있다. 현재 국내 전력시장에서는 송전 혼잡처리방법의 변경으로 인한 시장참여자 수익에 미치는 영향에 대한 체계적인 연구가 미흡한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 혼잡처리방법의 변경이 국내 전력시장의 소비자 비용과 발전기 잉여에 미치는 영향에 대해서 분석한다. A switch in congestion management rule in an electricity market may have positive or negative impact on the surplus of a market participant. As a number of wholesale electricity markets around the world either have already adopted or plan to implement Locational Marginal Pricing (LMP) for energy and congestion management, it is necessary to study the economic impact of a change in congestion management in the Korean electricity market. However, the impact of congestion management on consumer costs and generator surplus has not been studied for the electricity market in Korea. This paper examines how a change in congestion management affects consumer costs and generator surplus in the Korean electricity market.
Risk-Based Allocation of Demand Response Resources Using Conditional Value-at Risk (CVaR) Assessment

In a demand response (DR) market run by independent system operators (ISOs), loadaggregators are important market participants who aggregate small retail customers through variousDR programs. A load aggregator can minimize the allocation cost by efficiently allocating its demandresponse resources (DRRs) considering retail customers’ characteristics. However, the uncertainresponse behaviors of retail customers can influence the allocation strategy of its DRRs, increasing theeconomic risk of DRR allocation. This paper presents a risk-based DRR allocation method for the loadaggregator that takes into account not only the physical characteristics of retail customers but also therisk due to the associated response uncertainties. In the paper, a conditional value-at-risk (CVaR) isapplied to deal with the risk due to response uncertainties. Numerical results are presented to illustratethe effectiveness of the proposed method.

The recent increase in the number of passengers has led to an increase in the operational costs of urban railway systems. In particular, peak demand is notably increasing due to the high affl uence of commuters during rush hour. In addition, the expansion of the renewable energies has led to the adoption of sources such as photovoltaic (PV) power generation into the urban railway system. Similarly, energy storage systems (ESSs) have been introduced to reduce the peak demand. However, given the current high costs of ESSs, it is essential to accurately determine their capacity considering peak-demand reduction target in urban railway systems. In this paper, we propose an ESS sizing method considering PV power generation for peakdemand reduction in an urban railway system. The ESS capacity is determined using binary search and a linear programming based daily ESS scheduling. A numerical example considering data from urban railway and PV power generation systems shows the suitable performance of the proposed method.
BCD 기반 분산처리 기법을 이용한 연계전력시장 최적화

The joint dispatch of regional electricity markets can improve the overall economic efficiency of interconnected markets by increasing the combined social welfare of the interconnected markets. This paper presents a new decentralized optimization technique based on Augmented Lagrangian Relaxation (ALR) to perform the joint dispatch of interconnected electricity markets. The Block Coordinate Descent (BCD) technique is applied to decompose the inseparable quadratic term of the augmented Lagrangian equation into individual market optimization problems. The Interior Point/Cutting Plane (IP/CP) method is used to update the Lagrangian multiplier in the decomposed market optimization problem. The numerical example is presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed decentralized method.
