These days various methods of safer and natural healing facial treatment are put forward to meet the needs of the times, but there is a few study of hand massage, particularly, qualitatively presented data. This study was carried out to qualitatively examine the effect of golgeun therapy and meridian manual technique on facial contouring. In the research, a comparative analysis of golgeun therapy and meridian manual technique was carried out to do facial treatments 2 times a week, total 10 times on women in their 20s 40s. The findings are summarized as follows. The change of facial volume for golgeun therapy and meridian manual technique through 3D Laser Scanner analysis showed that the facial volume of golgeun therapy group decreases by 460 mm3, and the facial volume of meridian manual technique group decreases by 77 mm3. In other words, golgeun therapy group showed about sixfold effect than meridian manual technique group. In the thickness of cheekbone area, golgeun therapy group decreased by 0.25 mm, and meridian manual technique group, on average, decreased by 0.12 mm (p<.05).

The purpose of this study was to examine the amounts of toxic minerals in hair between adults with and without alopecia so as to provide basic information on the mineral imbalance in people with alopecia and help the treatment for alopecia. The participants are adults from Seoul in their twenties to forties who are divided into two groups; people with alopecia and without alopecia. ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer) is used to analyze the participants` hair. The followings are the result that analyzes these minerals. Among the toxic minerals, there were significant main effects of gender and the presence of alopecia in the levels of Hg. Male group showed higher level of Hg compared with female group. And participants of alopecia showed higher level of Hg and As compared with participant of non-alopecia. Theses findings suggested the content of Hg and As levels in hair could be problematic and compromise the hair management for optimal condition.

Middle aged women show an estrogen deficiency phenomenon by the decline of ovarian function before and after menopause, which they go through the physical and psychological discomfort, climacteric symptoms. It made a survey on middle aged women in their forties-fifties sixties living in some areas of Seoul and Gyeonggi to examine the relation between climacteric symptoms and attitudes on scalp and hair management. Consequently, for middle aged women with severe climacteric symptoms, scalp or hair conditions were bad, while attitudes on scalp and hair management were high, which they are perceiving the importance of management for the health of scalp and hair, but they are treating scalp and hair as negative attitudes despite the symptom of hair loss. The role of scalp and hair specialists, who help prior prevention of women`s hair loss by perceiving the necessity of scalp and hair management and improving the problems of it, is important for their health of scalp and hair by proper management.
ICP-MS를 활용한 탈모증 유무에 따른 모발의 영양 미네랄 함량 비교

According to the preceding data, there are 9 nutritive minerals (Zn, Mn, Cu, Se, Fe, Na, Ca, Mg, S) can affect the hair loss. The followings are the result that analyzes these minerals. Among the nutritive minerals, there were significant main effects of gender and the presence of alopecia in the levels of Zn. Male group showed lower level of Zn compared with female group. And participants of alopecia showed lower level of Zn compared with participant of nonalopecia. Theses findings suggested the imbalance of mineral levels in hair could be problematic and compromise the hair management for optimal condition.
