Recently many people are interested in clothes dryer for wellness and live space efficiency. The advantage of the clothes dryer is needless of drying rack and easy drying with less time and work. Since the OSF(Offset Strip Fin) heat exchanger of the condensing clothes dryer plays an important role, researches has been performed. A heat exchanger can be evaluated by the effectiveness basis and dehumidification rate which is related to the latent heat. Thus, the thermal flow of the latent heat through the heat exchanger was analyzed to improve the performance of the factors affecting the efficient browsing. In this study, dynamic changes with respect to the latent heat were studied by the flow analysis and numerical simulation with the fin performance test to propose the optimum design of the OSF heat exchanger.

In this study, a performance of steam compression of the centrifugal compressor was analysed. Initially, the performance of the impeller with the vaneless diffuser was investigated by an one-dimensional integral method and a differential method using a CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis. The one-dimensional integral method calculated the approximate results without time consuming in comparison with the CFD method. After obtaining the whole modeling of the impeller, diffuser and volute, the CFD analysis was performed to observe the whole flow characteristics in the compressor. Air and steam were used as working fluids and compared each other to analyze the differences. Although the pressure ratios of fluids showed same tendency, the temperature ratios showed discrepancies each other.
식기세척기 내부 유동 분포 분석을 위한 유동가시화 기법 개발

A flow visualization technique was developed to analyze flow distribution inside a dishwasher in this study. Then, a new design plan was proposed to improve the efficiency of the dishwasher by the analyzed results and it was confirmed experimentally by the developed technique. Gas flow fields inside a drying duct of a tub for a drying process was investigated by a developed PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) and a CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) method. Also, the flow visualization technique was developed for the liquid flow field of a rotor-arm system to propose the improved design idea. Also, interactions between liquid and gas were observed around the rotor-arm system. The two-phase flow was modified to the liquid flow field because laser sheets are refracted when pass through the two-phase flow. Thus, the flow visualization techniques was developed in this study to measure the instantaneous flow velocities in the liquid quantitatively.
