As internal combustion engine vehicles are being converted to eco-friendly vehicles these days, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (FCEVs) are attracting attention as next-generation eco-friendly vehicles. In addition, the parts that can be commonized among some parts of internal combustion engine vehicles can be refined and applied to eco-friendly vehicles to use current production technologies. Similar to the intercooler currently used in turbocharging systems, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles also require an air cooler that can cool high air temperatures by being compressed in an air compressor. In this study, pressure fluctuations were measured in intercooler tanks. The shape of the inlet tank shall be improved for the distribution of charged air from the test results. However, in terms of the pressure drop of the charged air, we could know the need to improve the shape of the outlet tank. From these experiments, depending on the environment that is applied to the actual vehicles, it can help referentially to improve the air cooler design.
