The purpose of the study is to establish a solving model of unsold houses(apartment) in Korea. To do so, we have conducted a survey on the experts of the housing markets with a view to establish an AHP (multi-layered decision making model) to calculate an effective and efficient solution for the unsold houses. The conclusions and the implication of this study are as follows; Among the five major categories, the economic supports gained the highest value in its importance, followed by the facilitation through legal or regulatory supports, roles by the public sectors, roles by the private sectors, and the marketing. This implicates that the experts view the economic subsides as the most effective solution for the current problem of the unsold houses, and thought the legal and regulatory supports also important. On the other hands, the roles of the private sectors and the marketing received less attention in terms of their importance, which means that as the problem of the unsold houses is a combined result of various factors, such as, not only the problem of over-supply but also the financial, and the affordability of the houses for its potential purchasers. The effort of the private sector alone is no enough to cope with these factors, and the conventional marketing and promotion would not help to mitigate the situation, as they view the matter.
중심성 폐암 발견에 있어 협대역 내시경의 임상적 유용성

Background: Lung cancer is usually diagnosed at an advanced stage, resulting in a poor prognosis. The detection of these lesions at an earlier stage would be a clear benefit to patients. However, it is extremely difficult to detect carcinomatous lesions in the bronchial mucosal sites during a routine bronchoscopy. Methods: This study employed a novel optical technique, known as narrowband imaging (NBI), which allows noninvasive visualization of the microvascular structure of an organ`s surface using reflected light. Results: Narrow band imaging was performed on 10 patients who were radiologically suspicious or had a high risk of lung cancer. The median age of the patients was 57.5 years (range, 44∼81 years), and 80% of the patients were male. All lesions showed a microvascular proliferation pattern (dotted, tortuous and abruptly ending vessel) on the magnified NBI. Two lesions were confirmed histologically to be adenocarcinoma and the remaining lesions were squamous cell carcinomas. Two lesions were confirmed histologically to be a carcinoma in situ. Conclusion: NBI is a promising and potentially powerful tool for identifying carcinomas at an earlier stage or a central lesion during a routine bronchoscopy examination.
Anti-TNF-α 치료를 받은 강직성 척추염 환자들의 체중과 골밀도 변화

Background/Aims: To determine the changes in body weight and bone mineral density in patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) receiving anti-tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) treatment. Methods: Thirty-one patients with AS (25 males and 6 females) who fulfilled the Modified New York Criteria for AS were included in this retrospective study. All patients had active disease that eventually required anti-TNF-α treatment. Each patient received anti-TNF-α treatment (etanercept 25 mg twice weekly or adalimumab 40 mg twice monthly) for more than 2 years. Body weight, disease activity as Bath ankylosing spondylitis disease activity index (BASDAI), C-reactive protein, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), lumbar bone mineral density (LBMD), and femoral bone mineral density (FBMD) were measured at baseline and at 1 and 2 years after initiating anti-TNF-α treatment. Results: There was a significant increase in mean body weight at 1 year (1.1 ± 3.8 kg) and at 2 years (1.7 ± 4.8 kg) compared with baseline. The gains in mean BMD of the lumbar spine were significant at 1 year (0.4 ± 0.4) and 2 years (0.5 ± 0.7) compared with baseline. Mean BMD of the femur was also increased at 1 year (0.08 ± 0.7) and 2 years (0.1 ± 0.8) compared with baseline, but these differences were not statistically significant. There were significant decreases in BASDAI at 1 year (-3.3 ± 2.8) and at 2 years (-3.6 ± 2.8) compared with baseline. Conclusions: This study showed significant increases in body weight, lumbar BMD, and BASDAI at 1 year and 2 years in patients with ankylosing spondylitis after receiving anti-TNF-α treatment.
