In the fabrication of dry adhesive structure, increasing contact-points or contact-area is the primary goal because the adhesive force grows in proportion to the contact-area. The simplest way to extend the contact surface is the fabrication by using soft materials. However, the column-array structure could confront the matting phenomenon which columns are stuck together. Therefore, we need a novel design to reduce the effective stiffness with adequate stiff materials like a gecko’s setae. In this study, we propose a novel design for the dry adhesive structure. Moreover, we analyzed whether the adhesive structure conforms the rough surface sufficiently through finite element method adopted the non-bonding interaction as the body force. Also, we fabricated the novel structures via UV lithography and some techniques. In addition, we examined the adhesive force of the novel structures.
다국적기업 해외자회사 현지 직원들의 인지된 CSR이 정서적 몰입을 통해 창의적 행동에 미치는 영향: 인지된 평가 공정성 및 인지된 직무 자율성의 조절효과

본 연구는 멕시코에 진출한 국내 다국적기업 해외자회사의 기업의 사회적 책임(corporate social responsibility; 이하 CSR) 활동이 현지 근로자들의 정서적 몰입을 통해 창의적 행동에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 더불어 정서적 몰입이 창의적 행동에 미치는 긍정적인 효과를 촉진시키는 상황조건으로서 평가 공정성 및 직무 자율성을 제시하였다. 선행연구들은 기업의 CSR 전략이 기업수준의 성과변수에 미치는 영향에 주로 초점을 맞춘 반면, 기업의 해외 진출 경쟁이 치열함에도 불구하고 해외자회사의 CSR 활동에 대한 현지 직원들의 실제 인지 수준을 측정하여 개인수준에서 매우 중요한 변수인 창의적 행동으로 연결되기까지의 메커니즘과 상황조건에 대해 심도있게 고찰한 연구는 상당히 미비하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 현지 경영활동에서 외국인 비용을 극복하는데 중요한 전략이 될 수 있는 현지 CSR 활동과 조직 내부의 제도적 요인들이 현지 근로자들의 창의적 행동에 미치는 효과를 개인수준에서 통합적인 관점으로 살펴보는데 주목하였다. 멕시코 현지 근로자 192명을 대상으로 분석을 실시한 결과, 현지 직원들이 인지하는 해외자회사의 CSR 활동은 그들의 정서적 몰입과 정의 관계를 나타냈으며, 정서적 몰입은 창의적 행동과 정의 관계를 보였다. 더불어 인지된 해외자회사의 CSR 활동과 창의적 행동 간의 관계에서 정서적 몰입의 매개효과 역시도 통계적으로 유의하였다. 또한, 정서적 몰입에 대한 인지된 평가 공정성 및 인지된 직무 자율성의 조절효과는 창의적 행동에 각각 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로 인지된 평가 공정성 및 인지된 직무 자율성이 높은 그룹에서만 정서적 몰입과 창의적 행동이 강한 정의 관계를 나타냈다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 다국적기업 해외자회사의 현지화 전략에 대한 의미있는 이론적 및 실무적 시사점을 제공한다. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities of foreign subsidiary on Mexican employees’ creative behavior through their affective commitment. We also suggested perceived appraisal justice and perceived job autonomy as boundary conditions to facilitate the positive relation between affective commitment and creative behavior. Although previous researchers have mainly focused on the consequences of CSR activities at the firm level, few studies have investigated the employee perception of CSR activities of foreign subsidiary and creative behavior of employee at the individual level. Therefore, we paid attention to the effects of local CSR activities and internal institution factors of foreign subsidiary on creative behavior of local employees from the integrated perspective. Survey results from 192 local employees show that perceived CSR was positively related to affective commitment and then affective commitment was positively related to creative behavior. We confirmed the mediating effect of affective commitment between the relation. Also, each moderating effect of perceived appraisal justice and perceived job autonomy with affective commitment on creative behavior was significant. More specifically, the positive relations between affective commitment and creative behavior were significant only for high groups of perceived appraisal justice and perceived job autonomy. The findings provide beneficial theoretical and practical implications for the localization strategy of foreign subsidiaries of multinational corporations.

In nature, some creatures have the ability to walk vertically or upside down on various natural surfaces. The mechanism of adhesion can be capillarity, viscosity of adhesive secretion, interlocking or intermolecular force an so on. In this paper, we focus on the intermolecular force generated by nano-size hair-like structures of creatures and natural surfaces and we introduce briefly the mechanism of adhesion with intermolecular force and other mechanism of adhesion. And we enumerate the creatures which have various size of nano-hair structures and the manufactured nano-hair structures which mimic the nature.
전산시스템 활용능력은 중요한가?: 변혁적 리더십과 직무열의 및 직무성과 관계에서의 조절역할

This study aims to develop and empirically test a research model to better understand the relationship among transformational leadership, utilization ability for computational system, work engagement, and job performance. In particular, we focus on the direct effect of utilization ability for computational system and the interaction effect between transformational leadership and utilization ability for computational system on work engagement and job performance of employees. The results indicated that transformational leadership was positively related to both work engagement and job performance. Utilization ability for computational system was also positively related to the two outcome variables. Authors then examined the moderating effect of utilization ability for computational system among transformational leadership, work engagement, and job performance. The two interaction terms had the positive impacts on the two outcome variables of the employees. In other words, the positive relationships among transformational leadership, work engagement, and job performance were stronger when the perception of employees for their own utilization ability for computational system was higher. The findings suggest comprehensive implication in information technology and leadership research field by emphasizing the importance of utilization ability for computational system in organizations.

Nano-hairs, which can be found on the epidermis of Tokay gecko's toes, contribute to the adhesion by means of van der Waals force and capillary force. This structures have inspired many researchers to fabricate the attachable nano-structures. However, unfortunately, the efficiency of artificial nano-structures is not assurable sufficiently. Moreover, the mechanical parameters related with the nano-hair's attachment are not yet revealed qualitatively. In this study, we investigate the mechanical parameters which have influence on the ability of adhesive nano-hairs through numerical simulation considering only van der Waals force. For the numerical analysis, finite element method is utilized and van der Waals force, assumed as 12-6 Lennard-Jones potential, is implemented as the body force term in the finite element formulation.
요소망 구성이 편리한 3차원 MLS 기반 변절점요소 개발

In this study, we developed 3D MLS-based variable-node elements for easy meshing. These elements should be derived from 2D MLS-based variable-node elements and would be utilized as key elements of easy meshing technique we proposed. Using developed 3D MLS-based variable-node elements, we demonstrated several examples having complex configuration compared with conventional meshing technique. Moreover, we compared with the stress results of our model and conventional one.

Nano/micro column-array structures are usually suggested as dry adhesive structure due to enlargement of contact area between dry adhesive structure and substrate. For the fabrication of column-array structure, UV lithography, molding, and etching techniques are adopted. Because the critical scale of dry adhesive structures exists from hundreds nanometers to tens micrometer, every technique needs expensive mask or mold. In this study, we demonstrate that colloidal lithography, that is, a well-known etching technique using colloid as mask could be a promising fabrication technique for the dry adhesive structure with inexpensive mask.
