The feedwater ring is an assembly in steam generator internal piping, which distributes feedwater into the secondary side of the steam generator. It consists of an assembly of carbon steel piping, pipe fittings and J-nozzles which are inserted into the top of the feedwater ring and welded to the diameter of the ring. The feedwater ring at the attachment region of the J-nozzle may be susceptible to flow accelerated corrosion (FAC) due to flow turbulence which increases local fluid velocities. If a J-nozzle becomes a loose part, it can cause damage to tubing near the tube sheet. In this paper, the structural stress analysis for a wall thinned feedwater ring and integrity evaluations under assumed loading conditions are carried out in compliance with ASME B&PV SecⅢ, NB-3200.
의도성 여부를 중심으로 한 일산화탄소 중독환자의 임상적 특성

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the changes in the characteristics of patients with carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning, as well as the distinctive differences in intentionally exposed patients. Methods: The medical records of CO poisoning patients, who visited nine emergency departments between January 2010 and December 2011, were reviewed retrospectively. The clinical information including age, gender, hospitalization, type of discharge, cause and location of exposure, site of onset, concentration of initial blood carboxyhemoglobin (COHb), methods of treatment and presence of neurological complications was examined. The subjects were divided into an intentional and non-intentional group and the differences between them was compared. Results: A total 209 subjects were recruited. The median age was 38 years (29~49.5 years). They frequently complained of nausea and vomiting, and the most common exposures occurred in winter, normally in the home. The cause of exposure was usually fire, followed by incomplete combustion of fuels. The median initial blood COHb was 13.15%. The proportion of intentionally exposed patients was 21%. They were significantly younger, more frequently discharged against medical advice, and showed a higher initial blood COHb level (22.85%) than the non-intentional group. Conclusion: This study suggests that those with intentional CO poisoning are normally discharged against medical advice even when they have a higher initial COHb level. An adequate explanation of the delayed neurologic sequelae and short term follow-up observation is recommended for those patients with intentional exposure.

Design method of a Baffle for transforming any inlet velocity profile to another outlet velocity profile based on a non-uniform porosity profile was proposed. Effectiveness of the baffle was confirmed through a numerical analysis over a wide range of parameter conditions and experiment performed in a wind tunnel. The proposed design method for the non-uniform porosity distribution gave satisfactory results for a wide variety of velocity profiles at the channel inlet and the outlet, and an empirical equation was found between the number of holes in the baffle and the accuracy of the generated profile.

본 연구는 주남습지의 식물상과 생활형 분석을 통해 내륙습지의 합리적인 관리방안을 위한 기초정보를 제공하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 주남습지 주변에서 출현이 확인된 관속식물상은 58과 167속 200종 3아종 1품종 3변종 등 총 222분류군이었다. 8개의 생활형(대형지상식물, 소형지상식물, 미소지상식물, 지표식물, 반지중식물, 지중식물, 수생식물, 일년생식물) 중 일년생식물, 수생식물, 반지중식물의 비율이 높았는데, 이들 식물이 주남습지 전체 식물상의 71.1%를 차지하였다. 산림청 지정 희귀식물은 가시연꽃 1분류군이 확인되었다. 귀화식물은 닭의덩굴, 달맞이꽃, 돼지풀 등 38분류군이 나타났으며, 그중 국화과 식물이 약 45%를 차지하였고 귀화율은 17.1%였다. 주남습지에서 분포가 확인된 식물구계학적 특정식물은 가시연꽃, 자라풀, 산복사나무, 어리연꽃 등 13분류군이었다. The purpose of this study was to collect the basic data on establishing the conservation plan for the domestic wetland through flora and life form analysis at Junam wetland. The vascular plants were recorded as 222 taxa; 58 families, 167 genera, 200 species, 3 subspecies, 1 forma and 18 varieties. Among 8 life forms, Therophytes (Th), Hemicryptophytes (H) and Hydrophytes (HH) showed high percentage, and these species comprised 71.1% of the whole flora at Junam wetland. Rare plants designated by Korea Forest Service were observed 1 taxa (Euryale ferox). The naturalized plants were 38 taxa including Fallopia dumetora, Oenothera odorata, Ambrosia artemisiifolia var. elatior and so forth, and naturalized ratio was 17.1%. Compositae species made up about 45 percent of the naturalized plant. The specific plants by floristic region were 13 taxa including Euryale ferox., Hydrocharis dubia, Prunus davidiana and so forth.
하천수에서 Campylobacter jejuni 의 오염도와 그 생존율에 관한 연구

Campylobacter jejuni isolated from river and lake waters and chicken samples were examined for their contamination and survival in surface waters and for inactivation by chlorination. The isolation rates of C. jejuni from chicken samples were 50 to 100%, while only one out of 48 studies was positive from the surface water. When the organisms suspended in sterile river water were incubated at 4℃, they survived upto 20 days, but they died off after 1 day incubation at 30℃ or above. The in situ survival studies of C. jejuni in the waters of Dsecheong Dam and Han-river (1st bridge) revealed that they survived upto 14 days in winter, but for shorter period of time in spring and summer. The survival rates of the organism in the deeper water were a little longer than in the surface water, but the rates were not different between the both water environments. When the organisms were treated with 0. 5, 1. 0 and 2. 0 ㎎/ℓ chlorine solution at pH 7. 0 and 15℃ for 60 minutes, they were inactivated by about 1, 4, and 6 logs, respectively, The inactivation rate was increasingly affected by lowering the reaction pH and by increasing the reaction temperature.

In this paper, it is analyzed the cause of the efficiency degradation in the bidirectional phase shift converter applied to the battery charge/discharge system and the propose a method to improve the efficiency. In addition, the proposed method was applied to an actual charger/discharger to conduct the experiment and its validity was verified.
