In this paper, an experimental verification has been conducted for the frequency response function (FRF)-based structural damage identification method (SDIM) proposed for beam structures. The FRF-based SDIM requires the natural frequencies and mode shapes measured in the intact state and the FRF-data measured in the damaged state. Experiments are conducted for the cantilevered beam specimens with one slot and with three slots. It is shown that the proposed FRF-based SDIM provides damage identification results that agree quite well with true damage state.

Eastman Kodak Co. has announced the concept of photo CD System in September, 1990 With Photo CD System technology, Kodak Co. Furnishes a convinent way to view, use and store photographic images. The heart of this system is a format provides progressively higher levels of image quality to meet the demands of NTSC, PAL and HDTV video displays as well as hard copy output. Also, image professionals are instrested in the capability of Photo CD, such as a way to store image at low cost in a high-resolution digital format that can be played back on different computer platforms. Many editors wish to use Photo CD images in the printing and publishing industry. However, Photo CD images were not processed detail enhancement and some others to use in the lithographic offset printing. Therefore, in this paper discribes a method to improve the sharpness of Photo CD images.

Inter-vehicle communication is one of the most important parts in Intelligent Vehicle System. Through this communication, drivers can recognize what is happening out of their sights, such as the freezing condition of the street, traffic accidents, and so on. Each car in IVS gives various services to the drivers after analyzing those received information from cars or a base station. If the message is, however, exchanged from car to car directly, the computation cost which is needed for all the car to authenticate the transmitted message between nearby cars is tremendously high. Therefore, one can naturally think that the message communication between cars is performed with the help of the base station to reduce the computation cost. In this case where the base station collects all the information transmitted from cars and broadcasts them nearby, there should be an efficient way both for the base station to authenticate the car message within its communication range and for the car to authenticate the information received from the base station. In this paper, we present a two-way authentication protocol using a hash chain to efficiently exchange GPS information between a car and a base station. This information can be used to provide a driver with the navigation which displays all the moving cars around him in real time. When a car goes into an area of a base station, the car authenticates itself to the base station using its private key of PKI, sends a commitment of a hash chain, then starts to send a message with the hash value for authentication. The message includes GPS information, driver's status and so on. The base station also authenticates itself to the nearby cars using its private key, transmits the commitment of the hash chain, and sends all the messages gathered from cars with authentication information.

언어적 수행지식의 제공이 골프퍼팅 과제의 수행과 학습에 미치는 효과

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of verbal knowledge of performance on motor learning and performance, and attest the theory of knowledge of result and knowledge of performance in field learning as like as labortory studies. 45 Subjects were randomly assigned to one of 3 experemental conditions that differed in terms of every knowledge of performance, 5 trials summary knowledge of performance(5 KP), and control group. Task was golf putting from 3m and 7m to the hole. Subjects performed 60 acquisition trials followed by 10 retention trials inafter 7days(next week), and received verbal knowledge of performances after respective trial routines. ANOVAs were performed on the various dependent variables : absolute error(AE), variable error(VE), radial error(RA), and directional angle(DA) There were no difference among three groups in 4 dependent measures far from studies up to these days. This is knowledge of performance have a little influences to learn a difficult and sensitive task under the field learning, especially I think that only verbal knowledge of performance has little effects on motor learning as to the weak function of the knowledge of performance. In order to generalize findings to field learning, I suppose we have a lot of field studies as such sports game, at class and complex tasks.

지역사회개발을 위한 스포츠관광의 상품화 전략

As the basic value and life style of contemporary human beings change, quality of life begins to be valued more than ever. This has increased people's demand for travel for relaxation from monotonous ordinary life, activated recreation activities among them, made more people to be enthusiasts for world-famous spectator sports such as Olympic Games or World Soccer. In a word, more and more people want to extend their leisure time to enjoy sports and traveling with a renewed interest in their health. At this juncture, each local government is trying to activate their local economy by developing sports into important tourism commodities as part of regional development strategies. The purpose of this study was to analyze a survey of strategies for developing tourist goods with based on characteristics of each region. The results of the study are summarized as below. There are many conditions that need to be met before developing leisure & sports events as part of tourism goods. First, specialists need to be recruited and trained in the field of sports-related tourism products by opening special posts for them; Second, long-term investment plans need to be made by clearly delineating the concept of sports tourism policy for development of local areas; Third, distinct and differentiated tour programs need to be developed for involving local industry and general community; Fourth, special regulations need to be developed and improved to deal with new streams of sports tourism. It is recommended that each local government should try to develop differentiated programs of sports-related commodities by using the resources and characteristics of their regions, based on main attraction in the field and their own unique sports-related leisure activities.

문화변동에 따른 스포츠의 발전방향에 대한 고찰

Today's postmodern society changes the trends of sports to a new dimension with information revolution. Thus, the purpose of this study was to presume the prospects of sports world from cultural perspectives. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1) It is expected that there will be more chances for participant sports with the increase of leisure activities along with the society's desire to seek cultural diversity. 2) Development of sensual culture will foster social atmosphere in which sports activities are more enjoyable and full of thrills. 3) Capitalistic value system which emphasizes success for its own sake will make sports world. 4) While individualization has promoted record-oriented individual sports activities, reactions against individualism and longings for the splendid past will arouse group sports and war-like cultures. 5) Technological innovation and science-oriented sports will improve quality of sports by creating new sports techniques, and making sports activities more dynamic and pleasurable 6) Finally, it is expected that isolation of human beings and reaction to technology-oriented cultures will spread mind or spirit-oriented sports and make nature-friendly sports activities more prosperous.

지역사회개발을 위한 스포츠이벤트의 활용방안

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect off summary knowledge off performance on performance and learning of the golf putting. The study was designed in an effort to compensate for the lack of validity in generalizing results of laboratory-based researches. The subjects for the study were students of K university who consented to participate in the experiment. All o the subjects were high-handed and did not have any prior knowledge of the experimental tasks. The subjects were randomly assigned three groups of twelve : group one was provided with knowledge off performance each time the task was given, group two was not provided with any knowledge of performance, and group three were provided with summary of knowledge of performance for five times. Experimental task was to putt a ball toward the hole from a distance of 2 meters and 10 meters respectively on a golf green. The distance for the edge of the hole were given value X, and Y. As for the procedures off the experiment, each subject was given instructions to putt 60 times toward the hole at an interval of 10 times. After each putting, absolute errors, variable errors, radial errors and directional angle were measured for comparison of groups. Finally, a retention test was administered after a week f the experiment. The results of the study are summarized as follows : 1) Providing summary of knowledge of performance, where results of performance are visible, does not facilitate learning and performance of golf putting. 2) providing summary of knowledge of performance, where subjects are asked to perform a difficult task which require precision and concentration, does not facilitate learning and performance of golf putting. 3) It is suggested that further research needs to be conducted in order to discover appropriate rules for performance in actual game settings.
