In order for autonomous vehicles to drive safely on real roads, the role of high-definition maps is becoming increasingly important, and so is the importance of positioning technology. Since precise localization is an indispensable element of autonomous driving systems that recognizes the vehicle’s surroundings and determines its current location, the performance of localization should be evaluated not only in normal driving situations, but also in harsh driving situations that limit the ability to perceive the surroundings. In this study, we propose a methodology for building risk scenarios for the evaluation of localization performance in adverse driving conditions. To accomplish this, we define adverse conditions that affect the positioning performance of autonomous systems, break them down into perception related causal factors, and specify the effect of each on the physical and functional properties of sensors to derive risk scenarios caused by adverse conditions. In addition, by combining various scenarios with sensor specific perception limitations to build an integrated scenario, we found that realistic and efficient performance evaluation is possible.
A method of detection of respiration rate on Android using UWB Impulse Radar

Monitoring respiration rate is important because it can help to detect and prevent abnormal respiratory rates that can lead to cardiac arrest and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Nowadays, most medical measurement and monitoring devices are either invasive or wired but people are hesitant to attach physiological sensors to their body. In this study, we investigated whether real-time medical measurement of breathing using Novelda’s Ultra-Wideband Impulse Radio (IR-UWB)–which does not need to be attached to the human body and is also non-invasive–is possible on Android. Experimental results obtained were found to be comparable to those of a commercial healthcare device.
OSGi 환경에서 오픈소스를 이용한 HL7 메시지의 교환 방법

수년 전부터 환자와 병원 간 의료정보 교환의 표준에 관한 연구가 국내외에서 꾸준히 진행되고 있으며, 앞으로도 활발한 연구가 진행되어 많은 산출물들이 도출될 것이다. 현재 대부분의 연구에서는 병원정보시스템(HIS)을 기반으로 병원 내 의료 장비들 간의 메시지 표준화를 위한 것으로 환자와 병원 간 정보 교환을 위해 스마트 기기, Open Service Gateway Initiative(OSGi) 플랫폼 등에서 오픈소스를 이용한 HL7 메시지 교환 시스템을 구성하는 연구는 아직 미비한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 Open eHealth Integration Platform(IPF)을 이용해 안드로이드와 OSGi 플랫폼에서 환자와 병원 간의 HL7(Health Level Seven) 메시지의 교환, 검증 그리고 모니터링 위한 시스템을 구현하였다.
시각 유발전위의 웨이블릿 변환을 이용한 녹내장안 진단 알고리즘의 제안

In this paper, an algorithms that can discriminate between normal and glaucomatous eye were proposed using discrete wavelet trnasform coeffcients taken from PRVEP. The key features of PRVEP allowing these diagnosis are peak amplitude and time from stimulus onset to peak of the evoked potentials. Level 5 approximation coefficients were extracted by Daubechies-3 wavelet and they elicit P100 latency delay which is important feature to make it possible to discriminate glaucomatous eyes from normal ones. Approximation coefficients were fed into artificial neural network ANI as input feature vectors for training and classifying test. ANN achieves high classification accuracy and the result show that proposed algorithms are promising method in clinical application.
기지국을 이용한 차량간 GPS 정보 교환을 위한 효율적인 인증 프로토콜

Inter-vehicle communication is one of the most important parts in Intelligent Vehicle System. Through this communication, drivers can recognize what is happening out of their sights, such as the freezing condition of the street, traffic accidents, and so on. Each car in IVS gives various services to the drivers after analyzing those received information from cars or a base station. If the message is, however, exchanged from car to car directly, the computation cost which is needed for all the car to authenticate the transmitted message between nearby cars is tremendously high. Therefore, one can naturally think that the message communication between cars is performed with the help of the base station to reduce the computation cost. In this case where the base station collects all the information transmitted from cars and broadcasts them nearby, there should be an efficient way both for the base station to authenticate the car message within its communication range and for the car to authenticate the information received from the base station. In this paper, we present a two-way authentication protocol using a hash chain to efficiently exchange GPS information between a car and a base station. This information can be used to provide a driver with the navigation which displays all the moving cars around him in real time. When a car goes into an area of a base station, the car authenticates itself to the base station using its private key of PKI, sends a commitment of a hash chain, then starts to send a message with the hash value for authentication. The message includes GPS information, driver's status and so on. The base station also authenticates itself to the nearby cars using its private key, transmits the commitment of the hash chain, and sends all the messages gathered from cars with authentication information.
