Fine tube bundle is often used as main part of heat exchanger in order to highly-efficiency, light-weighted and compact, but it has a several difficult problem such as cross flow-induced vibration, mechanical vibration. Flow-induced vibration is an important concern to the designers of heat exchangers subjected to high flows of gases or liquids. Some important mechanisms to cause the vibration of tube bundle in the cross flow are the fluid elastic instability, vortex shedding, turbulence buffeting and acoustic resonance. Based on HTRl criteria, the most important excitation mechanism was the critical velocity for the fluid elastic instability. This paper reviews known the equation for calculating the critical velocity. Also, vibration test and dynamic analysis was performed to know the vibration characteristic in tube bundle.

The objective of this study is to estimate the thermo-mechanical performance of cross corrugated plate with geometrical parameters in plate heat exchanger. Solid element needs a lot of elements and requires longer computational time, whereas shell element and sub model require less number of elements and computational time. For this reason, development of analysis technique is required. Based on the analysis technique, parametric analysis was performed applying parameters as plate thickness, pitch/height ratio and intersection angles. By the parametric analysis, we understand the characteristics for corrugated plate. in plate heat exchanger.
