N/A Removal of waste generated by Paralichthys olivaceus in the seawater aquarium using a foam separator was investigated. Protein concentration without a foam separator continuously increased until 3 days after stocking and reached at 25 ㎎/L after 5 days stocking, but protein concentration became lower than the initial protein concentration (2.5 ㎎/L) with a foam separator. The trends of other fish wastes such as ammonia, total suspended solids (TSS) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) were similar to protein. Dissolved oxygen (DO) in the aquarium decreased below 6.0 ㎎/L without a foam separator, but with a foam separator the average DO in the aquarium was 7.3 ㎎/L. Foam separation with the increase of superficial air velocity (SAV) was more effective than that with the fixed SAV. This study showed that wastewater treatment of seawater aquarium using a foam separator is effective method for a fish waste removal and oxygen supply.
아연도금강판의 방식을 위한 새로운 방청안료인 이온 교환된 제올라이트의 방청 성능

내부식성이 강화된 새로운 방청안료를 개발하기 위한 연구의 일환으로, 본 연구에서는 높은 내부식성을 제공하는 아연 및 세륨 이온 교환된 제올라이트를 도입하였다. 그리고 이온교환 제올라이트를 이용하여 프라이머 도료 제조 및 도장을 수행한 후, 그것의 방식성능을 측정하였다. 도장을 위한 금속 기재는 아연도금(galvanized, GI) 강판이었고, 도장된 강판의 방식성능은 electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)와 scanning vibrating electrode technique(SVET)으로 측정되었다. EIS 및 절단면의 내부식성을 확인하기 위한 SVET 측정으로부터 세륨이온 교환된 제올라이트가 가장 높은 효율을 제시하였고, 아연 및 세륨 이온 교환된 제올라이트의 경우 GI 강판에 대하여 cathodic 부식 방지제로 기 여함을 확인할 수 있었다. In this study, zinc or cerium exchanged zeolite was introduced to develop a novel anti-corrosion pigment. The primer paint was made using them and was coated on galvanized(GI) steel. The anti-corrosion performance was measured using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS). And scanning vibrating electrode technique(SVET) was employed to observe the cut-edge corrosion process of the coated GI steel. From EIS and SVET results, it could be confirmed that Ce ion-exchanged zeolite showed the anti-corrosion performance higher than Shieldex C303 and Zn ionexchanged zeolite. Finally, it was found that metal ion-exchanged zeolite may provide new possibility as the smart cathodic corrosion inhibitor delivery systems on galvanized steels.

N/A The effect of the hydraulic residence time (HRT) for the removal of aquarium waste, such as protein, total suspended solids (TSS) and turbidity were investigated by using a foam separator. Protein, TSS and turbidity removal efficiencies were increased with the increase of hydraulic residence time. The optimum hydraulic residence time was 0.5 min, and the highest protein and TSS removal rates were 14.4 g/L·day and 38.9 g/L·day, respectively. The tendency of turbidity removal rate and efficiency was similar to that of protein.
