        식도정맥류의 (食道靜脈瘤) 내시경 (內視鏡) 및 임상적 (臨床的) 고찰

        N/A One hundred and seventy eight cases of esophageal varices confirmed by esophnagogastro- duodenoscopy from January 1978 to August 1983 were studied. The varices were classified by the Sesoko method into three grades: Grade I, Grade Ii, Grade I according to the severity of varices. Esophagogastroduodenoscopy was done with JFB2, of Olympus and GIF-L of Fujinon. The observed results are summarized as follow: 1) Men predominated over woman in ratio of 5.5:1, and high incidence in 5th, 6th decade was noted 2) Causes of esophageal varix were as follow: Liver cirrhosis 140 cases(82%) Primary hepatoma 15cases(8.8%) Chronic hepatitis and fatty liver 13cases Metastatic hepatoma 3cases 3) Hemorrhage was noted in 116 esophageal varix cases and there was no correlation between severity of esophageal varix and bleeding frequency. 4) Level of serum albumin decreased in 72 cases below 3.0gm% and there was no correlation between severity of esophageal varix and level of serum albumin. 5) Level of serum bilirubin was in normal range in 113cases(60%), and SGOT, SGPT were normal or minimaly elevated in 125 cases(74%) 6) Esophagogastroduodenoscopy revealed causes of VGI bleeding of esophageal varix patient as follow: Hemorrhagic gastritis 10cases, Gastric ulcer 15 cass, Duodenal ulcer 6 cases 7) Splenomegaly was noted in 109cases and there was correlation between splenomegaly and severity of varix.
