      • 폴리스틸렌의 클로로메틸레이션과 아미노산 誘導體를 가지는 킬레이트 樹脂의 金屬이온 吸着에 관한 硏究

        On the chloromethylation of palystyrene in chloromethyl-methylether by Friedel-Crafts catalysts, effects of catalyst and solvent on the reaction rate and on the formation of crosslinking were studied. In the case where zinc chloride was used as reaction catalyst, the chloromethylation rate is slower than other two cases (i. e. aluminum chloride and stannic chloride), but closslinking formation in zinc chloride catalyzed reaction is much smaller than those in other two catalyzed reactions. The presence of ethylenedichloride as solvent has influenced especially on the aluminum chloride catalyzed reaction to decrease the chloromethylation rate and to promoto remarkably its closslinking formation. A new chelato forming resin has been prepared starting from chloromethylated polystyrene by the reaction of it with iminodiacetonitrile followed by acid hydrolysis of the product. This resin exhibited a characteristic affinity to metal ions such as Cu? and Hg? ions. Although the 7.5% duvinylbenzene crosslinking resin has exhibited no affinity to Fe?, Fe?, Ni? and Ba? ions, its adsorption capacities to Cu? and Hg? ions amounted to 0.8 and 2.9 meq/g respectively, under the same conditious, The affinity of Cu? ion did change with pH so sensitive(max. at pH5.1) that a linited degree of separation of this ion from Hg? ion was possible by an appropriate choice of pH in the cloumn.

        We operated on a patient with ovarian humor who had taken surgery for stomach cancer 17 months before. Gross finding of the specimen was bilateral solid ovarian tumor, the left-goose egg sized ovoid shape with smooth surface and the right -double fist sized kidney shape with nodular surface. Microscopic examination revealed typical Krukenberg tumor showing similar cellular pattern noted in the stomach.

      • 폴리스티렌의 티올유도체계 킬레이트 樹脂의 金屬이온 脫着特性(Ⅱ)

        스티렌-디비닐벤젠 共重合體를 클로르 메틸화 반응으로 -CH₂Cl기를 도입시킨 후 thiourea를 반응시켜 thiol 유도체계 킬레이트수지를 合成하였으며, 또한 2- aminoethanethiol을 반응시켜 아미노산基와 술파이드基를 가진 킬레이트 수지를 合成하였고, 이 수지를 다시 카르복시멕틸화한 킬레이트 수지를 合成하였다. 前報에서는 이 수지들에 대한 금속이온들(Hg++, Pb++, Cd++, Cr++, 및 Cu++)의 吸着特性을 檢討하였으며, 本報에서는 이 吸着 된 樹脂들의 脫着分離特性과 再生成등을 컬럼 크로마토그래피法으로 檢討하였다. Thiol derivated polystyrene-based chelating resins, that is, Mercaptomethyl polystyrene, Aminoethanethiomethyl polystyrene and N-di (carboxymethyl) aminoethanethiomethyl polystyrene, were prepared by the reaction of styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer (DVB 3%). Adsorptivivies of the metal ions to these chelating resins were investigated in the previous paper and desorption characteristics and regeneration of these resins were investigated by column chromatography.

        Polystrene-based chelating resins with carboxymethyl amino group were prepared as follows: N-mono(carboxymethyl) polystyrene was prepared by chloromethylation of styrenedivinyl benzene copolymer, followed by the reaction with glycine ethyl ester, and finally by alkali hydrolysis of the product. N-di(carboxymethyl)-aminomethyl polystyrene was prepared by the reaction of chloromethylated copolymer with iminodiacetonitrile, followed by acid hydrolysis of the product. The carboxymethylated type chelating resin was prepared by the reaction of copolymer with ethylenediamine, followed by the carboxymethylation of the aminated copolmer. Adsorptivities of the heavy metal ions such as ??, ??, ?? and ?? ions to these chelating resins were investigated.

        Osmotic fragility of RBC was observed in pregnant women(normal and toxmia) and fetuses. And studied in NaCl solution(0.3, 0.35, 0.4, 0.45, 0.5, and 0.55%) and degree of hemolysis was measured with sphectrophotometer at 540mμ. The results are as follows : 1. The osmotic fragility in NaCl solution was increased in pregnant woman and fetus than that of the non-pregnant woman. Especially, this differences were statistically significant in 0.45 and 0.5% of NaCl solutions. 2. Concentration of NaCl solution of 50% hemolysis was increased than that of nonpregnant woman as following oders : toxemic pregnant woman, fetus of normal pregnancy, normal pregnancy, and fetus of toxemic pregnancy. 3. The RBC of the toxemic pregnant woman was less fragile than that of the normal pregnant woman.

        The effecs of hydrogen ion concentration changes on the contractility as well as patterns of contraction to hormones were investigated in the isolated rabbit uterine muscles. Contractility was recorded on a Physiography with force transducer by means of Magnus method in sodium lacate Ringer's solution used were normal (pH 7.4), acidic (pH 6.3), and alkaline (pH 9.4), were titrated by 0. 01 N HCI or 0. 01 N NaOH solution respectively. Used hormones and its doses were 0.1ug/ml epinephrine, 50 mu/ml oxytocin, 30ug/ml and 100 pg/ml prostaglandin F_2a and prostaglandin E_2. Obtained results are summerized as follows: 1. Increased hydrogen ion concentration inhibited the contractility of uterine muscle, and dereased concentration increased the motility. 2. Decreased hydrogen ion from pH 7. 4 to pH 9. 4 increased the tension of the uterine contraction to 215±40%. 3. Epinephrine increased the uterine contractility in each pH. In pH 7. 4, the contraction tension of the uterine muscle was increased to 510±65% of the control value, but in pH 6.3 and 9.4, increased contraction tension were significantly lower than pH 7. 4 (p<0.01). 4. The increased contraction tension of oxytocin in pH. 7.4 was 197±25% of the control value In pH 6. 3, the increased contraction tension was significantly lower than pH 7. 4 (p<0.01), but in pH 9.4, the increased contraction was significantly higher (p<0.01). 5. Prostaglandin F2α and E2 increased the contraction tension to 305±34% and 391±73% in pH7. 4. But in pH 6. 3 and 9.4 were lower increased than pH 7.4(p<O.01).

        Thiol derivated polystyrene-based chelating resins were prepared by chloromethylation of styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer, followed by the reaction with sulfur-containing compounds such as thiourea and 2-aminoethanethoil respectively, and the carbaxymethylated chelating resin was also prepared by carboxymethylation of the aminoethanethiomethyl polystyrene resin with monochloroacetic acid. Adsorptivicies of the metal ions such as ??, ??, ??, ?? and ?? ions to these chelating resins were investigated by means of batch process.

        The objective of this study was to examine the growth and regeneration patterns of hardwood saplings after thinning of Pinus rigida planted at Mt Worak After thinning of P. rigida, r-selection species such as Rubus crataegifolius B, Lespedeza maximowiczii C, Aralia elata var canescen N., Rubus oldham M and Quercus spp were mainly appeared Regarding to numbers of young trees appearance, Q. mongolica F, Q acutissima C, Q. serrata T and Q variabilis B1 were appeared respectively At the study area after thinning, Q. mongolica F was regenerated by sprouts on the other hands, Q. acutissima C, Q serrata T and Q. variabilis B1 were regenerated by seedlings. The results of this study indicated that Q mongolica F tended to dominate as a natural regenerated species after thinning of the P. rigida. At the humid area, Q serrala T tended to dominate. While, at the dry area, Q. mongolica F. tended to dominate. In the case of Q. variabilis B1, no significant influence was found due to small number of population.
