        조사료의 발효율 및 발효속도 측정 4 . 알팔파와 오차드 그라스

        Chemical composition and it`s influences on the potentially digestible fractions and fermentation rates of alfalfa and orchardgrass were estimated in in vitro method. Alfalfa and orchardgrass were harvested at early bloom and late vegetative stages, respectively. Alfalfa had lower cell wall constituents (CWC) and higher lignin content than orchardgrass, and lignin and cellulose ratios were 0.26 in alfalfa and 0.13 in orchardgrass. Potentially digestible dry matter, cell wall constituents, acid detergent fiber (ADF) and cellulose were 57.3%, 37.4%, 41.6% and 63.59% in alfalfa and 73.1%, 59.9%, 61.5% and 86.6%, respectively in orchardgrass. Fermentation rates per hour (0-72 hour) of dry matter, CWC, ADF and cellulose were 0.66%, 0.70%, 0.59% and 1.17% in alfalfa and 1.21%, 0.90%, 1.00% and 2.21 % in orchardgrass, respectively, which were much higher in orchardgrass, but the potentially digestible fractions were ranged from 4.32% to 5.30% in alfalfa and from 3.21% to 4.39% in orchardgrass, which were higher in alfalfa.

        Chemical composition, amount of potentially digestible dry matter (DM), cell wall constituents (CWC), acid detergent fiber (ADF) and cellulose, and fermentation rates of corn stover and corn cob were estimated in in vitro methods. Corn cob had higher CWC but lower lignin content than corn stover. Both potentially digestible fractions and fermentation rates were much higher in corn cob than in corn stover. Potentially digestible dry matter, CWC, ADF and cellulose of corn stover were 68.8%, 57.1 %, 48.1 % and 63.8% and that of corn cob were 80.5%, 72.6%, 59.4% and 80.1%, respectively. Fermentation rate (0 - 72 hours) of dry matter, CWC, ADF and cellulose of corn stover were 0.3267, 0.02695, 0.01715 and 0.03842 hr^(-1) and that of corn cob were 0.03134, 0.03167, 0.04413 and 0.03848 hr^(-1), respectively, but the fermentation rate of potentially digestible fractions were not much difference between two roughages.

        Effects of alkali treatment on the digestibilities and rates and extends of fermentation of dry matter of rice straw, barely straw were determined in vitro. Dry matter digestibilities of rice straw, barley straw markedly increased with increasing levels of NaOH treatment and the extent of increase was much higher at 100 ℃ for 1 hour treatment than at room temperature for 24 hours treatment. Dry matter digestibility of untreated rice straw was 38.53% and of treated rice straw with 4.8% NaOH were 57.29%, 79.24% at room temperature for 24 hours and 65.32%, 85.19% at 100℃ for 1 hour treatment, respectively. Dry matter digestibility of untreated barley straw was 37.39% and of treated barley straw with 4,8% NaOH were 59.15%, 77.09% at room temperature for 24 hours and 62.20%, 79.53% at 100℃ for 1 hour treatment, respectively. Fermentation rate constants and fermentation time of dry matter of untreated rice straw were 0.00741 hr^(-1), 135 hr and of treated rice straw with 4,8% NaOH were 0.01065 hr^(-1), 0.01919 hr^(-1) and 94 hr, 52 hr at room temperature for 24 hours treatment and 0.01919 hr^(-1), 0.02376 hr^(-1) and 52 hr, 42 hr at 100℃ for 1 hour treatment, respectively. Fermentation rate constants and fermentation time of dry matter of untreated barley straw were 0.00636 hr^(-1), 157 hr and of treated barley straw with 4,8% NaOH were 0.0134 hr^(-1), 0.02321 hr^(-1) and 75 hr, 43 hr at room temperature for 24 hours and 0.01324 hr^(-1), 0.02217 hr^(-1) and 76 hr, 45 hr at 100 ℃ for 1 hour treatment, respectively.

Fermentation rate constants and fermentation time of dry matter of untreated corn stover were 0.00438 he 1, 228 hr and of treated com stover with 4, 8% NaOH were 0.00831 hr^(-1) ; 0.01382 hr^(-1) and 120 hr. 72 hr at room temperature for 24 hours and 0.0100 hr^(-1), 0.02186 hr^(-1) and 99 hr, 46 hr^(-1) at 100 ℃ for 1 hour treatment, respectively.

        부로일러 종계 (種鷄) 숫닭의 사료 섭취량이 단백질 및 에너지 이용에 미치는 영향

        To develop methods for simultaneous determination of protein and energy utilizability, interrelationships between diet intake levels and urinary nitrogen (UN), urinary energy (UE), fecal nitrogen (FN) and fecal energy (FE) were investigated in 65 week-old 5.3-6.0 ㎏ of 5 broiler breeder cockerels. True digestibility (TD) and biological value (BV) of protein, net protein utilization (NPU), and true digestible (TDE), biological value (BVE) and bioavailable (BEU) energy utilization were calculated. As diet intake was increased, the excretion of uric acid, ammonia, urea, FN, UN, FE and UE were increased gradually. Ommiting starved bird, the regression of FN (r²=0.998, n=3), UN (r²=0.990, n=3), FE (r²=0.9999, n=3) and UE (r²=0.998, n=3) on diet intake (g/day) was linear. Endogenous urinary nitrogen (EUn) and energy (UEe) estimated by the y-intercepts of regressions were significantly (p$lt;0.05) lower than those in fasted birds although significant difference on metabolic fecal nitrogen (MFn) and energy (FEm) were not found. TD. BV, NPU, TDE, BVE and BEU calculated by the values by regression showed very stable values among levels of feed intake, which were reflected by the stable FN-, UN-, FE- and UE-diet-derived by regression. Also BV and NPU calculated by regression were significantly (p$lt;0.05) lower than those in fasted bird. The results indicated that utilization of protein and energy in diet can be obtained by metabolic fecal and endogenous urinary nitrogen or energy determined simultaneously. Protein and energy utilization determined by regression seems more stabel and more realistic than those determined with fasted birds.
