The stress triaxiality and lode angle parameters are the main factors that determine the failure criterion for ductile fracture. In this paper, a study were conducted on the relationship between the stress triaxiality ratio at failure point and the lode angle parameter for calculating the three-dimensional facture locus of API 5L X65 line-pipe steel. As a result, a non-standardized plate-type specimen was proposed.
