충동성이 데이트폭력 가해에 미치는 영향 : 관계안정성의 조절효과를 중심으로

최근 언론보도를 통해 데이트폭력의 심각성이 인지되고 있는 가운데, 데이트폭력 예방 대책이 절실히 요구 되고 있다. 이에 따라 반사회적 행위에 강한 영향력을 가지고 있는 충동성을 예측변인으로 설정하였고, 긍정적인 영향인 연인과의 관계안정성의 조절변수를 충동성과 데이트폭력 관계에 투입하여 데이트폭력 가해 경향이 감소하는지를 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 Riggs와 O’Leary (1989)의 배경-상황 모델에 근거하여 배경적 요인으로 충동성을, 상황적 요인에 관계안정성을 설정하여 선행연구를 바탕으로 총 3개의 연구가설을 설정하였다. 연구에는 총 2,000명의 교제 경험이 있는 성인 남성을 대상으로 연구가 진행되었으며, 조절효과를 분석하기 위해 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 충동성은 데이트폭력 가해의 유형인 신체적·정서적·성적 데이트폭력과 행동통제에 모두 통계적으로 유의미한 정(+)적 영향이 나타났으며, 관계안정성은 모든 데이트폭력 가해 유형에 부(-)적 영향이 나타났다. 최종적으로, 충동성과 모든 데이트 폭력 가해 유형에서 관계안정성은 부(-)적 조절효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 3가지의 연구가설은 모두 지지되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 데이트폭력 예방과 개입 방안을 제언 하고자 한다. Recently, as many incidents regarding dating violence have been reported through the press, Korean society has recognized the seriousness about this issue. Therefore, the effective prevention and interventions to dating violence are now needed. Thus, this study has focused on the relation between impulsivity, which is a strong predictive factor on anti-social behaviour such as violence, and perpetration of dating violence - physical, emotional, sexual dating violences and behavioral control. In addition, the moderating effect of ‘relationship safety’ in the relation between impulsivity and perpetration of dating violence has been examined for contributing to prevention of dating violence. Based on Riggs and O’Leary’s(1989) Background-Situational Model that impulsivity is considered as a background factor, while relationship safety is included in one of situational factors, the three hypotheses have been formulated. A total of 2,000 male adults have been analyzed, and the moderating effect of relationship safety has been tested through Hierarchical Regression Analysis. As a result, impulsivity is positively correlated with all types of perpetration of dating violence, whereas relationship safety is negatively correlated with them. Lastly, the moderating effect of relationship safety is statistically significant in the relation between impulsivity and perpetration of dating violence. These findings suggest the prevention and interventions in regard to dating violence.
