      • 준설공정관리시스템의 펌프식 준설선에 적용

        Accuracy and efficiency of dredging work depend on the types of equipment used, the sediments encountered, whether the work to be performed is new or maintenance dredging, pre and post hydrographic surveying and so forth. Among those, position surveying accuracy which is directly determined by the control of the dredge's position and depth surveying accuracy being surveyed at the dredging point are important factors. In Korea, the most popular type of dredge is cutterhead pump dredge. This type of dredge has many advantages but also has a weakpoint relating to turbidity caused, low percent solids in slurry, shallow dredging depth, and bad position accuracy. The purpose of this study is appling "Dredge Process management System" to pump dredge for improving position accuracy. This system was developed first for Grab dredge which is composed of 4 sub-system using LADGPS for dredge position determining system and dredging point determining system, tide gauge system and optical sensor for depth determining system and GIS and ENC for total management system. For application, we change sub-systems including dredging point determining system and depth determining system. Dredge Process Management System was installed on the grab dredge "EUNJIN G-18". The results in case of grab dredge revealed that this system is easy to operate, achieves good accuracy with only 45cm unevenness, reduces working period by 22 percent and saves cost 16.6 percent.

      • 영산강 하구둑과 영암-금호방조제 방류에 의한 목포항 주변 수역의 수질변화에 관한 연구

        It is essential for port planning, coastal zone management and environmental impact study to analyze the variation of current and water quality due to the development of water area and discharged water from estuary barrage and basin etc. Mokpo sea area downstreams from a long river and two large basins, the Yongsan river and Yongam-Kumho basins discharging much of water through water gates for the purpose of flood control and prohibition of salt intrusion to the inland fresh water area. In this study, the numerical calculations were carried out for the analysis of diffusion characteristics due to discharging operation, adapting the results of tidal current simulation ADI methord is applied to the governing equation for the movement of sea water and diffusion and 6-point method to the advection terms of diffusion equation. As the results of this study, it is known that the discharging operation causes increasing and/or decreasing of current velocity and enlarging and/or depressing of pollutant diffusion limits depending on the distance from the discharging gates and the mode of discharging operation. To utilize these result, the linked gate operation and the method increasing exchange of sea water must be considered.

        The primary purpose of dredging work is to maintain navigational readiness and to increase environmental amenity. Therefore the dredging project, which is composed of excavating, removing, transporting and storing or dumping dredged material, must be carefully managed to insure that dredging works are completed in a cost-effective and environmentally safe method. The most important point in dumping operations is evaluating and decreasing the impacts of dumping works at the dumping area. One of the most effective method for this purpose is using the schematic process composed of the sophisticate plan, precise work and predicting/reducing the impacts based on an numerical model being closely linked with field observation. In this study, a numerical model is used to predict the spatial transport and fate of the effluent discharged from the confined dumping facility(CDF) located at a coastal area. To achive this purpose, numerical models were used for reappearing the tidal current of concerned area. These models were then applied to Mokpo harbpr where capital dredging and maintenance dredging are being conducted simultaneously and the CDF is under construction. In series of model case study, we found that the effluent discharged from CDF was governed by the receiving water condition and outfall geometry, so that limit of near-field was 14∼500 meter down stream and 4∼150 meter in transverse direction. dilution ranged from 1.1 to 8.2 on the cases. Long-term diffusion characteristics was governed by the dilution rate during near-field behavior, ambient conditions and CDF operation modes.

        항주파 관측에 관한 연구

        선박의 항주에 의해 발생하는 항주파의 현장관측을 수행하였다. 파랑데이터는 선박의 항로에서 625m 이격된 지점에서 초음파식 파고계를 이용하여 12시간동안 5Hz로 관측하였다. 관측데이터 분석결과 이 해역의 파랑은 정상적인 기상상태에서는 항주파가 현저한 원인으로 분석되었으며, 대형여객선과 쾌속여객선의 항주파가 중첩될 때 최대파고 82.6cm로 관측되었다. 불규칙하지만 현저한 방향특성을 가지는 개방수역의 풍파와 비교하여 항내의 항주파는 매우 복잡한 형태를 나타냈다. On-site measurement of ship wave has been carried out in the vicinity of Mokpo inner harbour. The wave data were collected and logged 5Hz by the ultrasonic instrument for 12hour on May 17, 2006. The number of data was 216,000 and the maximum wave height was 81.41cm in normal weather condition. It was found that the wave conditions in this water area are predominantly affected by the ship-generated waved under normal condition. By comparing with the wind-generated waves in the open region which were irregular but with dominant directional characteristics, the existing harbor wave field was much more complex.

      • 준설공정관리시스템 개발에 관한 연구

        Mokpo coastal area is connected to the adjacent a long river and two large basins. It is essential for port planning coastal zone management and environmental impact study to analyze the data related to the ship operation and variation of current and water quality due to the development of water area including dredging reclamation and estuary barrage. The Yongsan river estuary weir and Yongam-Kumho basins discharge much of water through water gates for the purpose of flood control and prohibit salt intrusion at the inland fresh water area. To meet this purpose discharge through the gates have been done at the period of maximum water level difference between inner river and sea level. This discharged water may cause the changes of current pattern and other environmental influences in the vicinity and inner area of semi-closed Mokpo harbor. In this study ADI method is applied to the governing equation for the analysis of the changes on current pattern due to discharged water. As the results of this study it is known that the discharging operation causes many changes including the increase of current velocity at the front water area at piers approaching passage and anchorages. Discussion made on the point of problems such as restricted maneuverability and the safety of morred vessels at pier and anchorage. To minimize this influence the linked gate operation discharging warning system and laternative mooring system are recommended.

      • 영산강하구둑 방류에 의한 목포항 부근의 유동변화에 관한 연구

        It is essential for port planning, coastal zone management and environmental problem to analyze the data related to changes of tide, current and diffusion etc due to the development of water area including dredging, reclamation and estuary barrage. The Yongsan river estuary weir was built for the purpose of the increased polished food, land expansion, improvement of land transportation, provision of water resources and control of flood. To do this purpose, estuary moverable weir discharge much of fresh water. This discharged water may causes the changes of current pattern and other many environmental influence in the vicinity of Mokpo harbor. In this study, it is known that the discharging operation may cause many changes including the increase of current velocity at harbor area, tidal residual current and sea water exchanges between inner and outer area in the vicinity of Mokpo harbor. These changes must be considered in problem of the stability of moored vessels at pier, suspend solid in discharged water and dispersion of pollutant from land source and discharged water etc.

        가변범퍼영역모델을 이용한 항로설계기법 (Ⅰ)

        항만의 계획 및 개발단계에서 중요한 요소 중 하나는 항로의 설계이다. 대부분의 경우 수심이 확보되어 있는 수역이라면 항로의 설계의 핵심은 항로의 배치와 항로폭의 결정이 될 것이다. 본 연구에서는 가변범퍼영역모델을 이용하여 항로를 설계하고 평가한다. 이 모델은 선박의 주요명세, 선박점용이론, 선박의 속력, 선박지휘자의 조선기술과 경험을 항로설계에 반영할 수 있으며, 특히 선박의 운동 및 조종특성에 영향을 주는 외력을 정확하게 반영할 수 있다. 이를 위해 선박조종자의 선박제어와 외력 등에 의해 생성되는 선박의 동적데이터를 분석하기 위해 전기능선박조종시뮬레이터를 이용하였으며, 항로의 적정성과 안전성을 평가하기 위해 점용도와 점용지수를 정의한다. 개발된 항로설계기법을 울산신항개발계획에 적용하였다. 이 계획에서 항로의 폭은 전장의 1.5배, 중심교각 57도인 만곡부의 곡률반경은 전장의 5.0배로 설계하였으며, 항로부근에는 SBM이 위치하고 있다. 모델의 적용결과 항로의 폭과 곡률반경은 적절하지만, 대각도 변침과 항로부근에 위치한 SBM에 의해 선박조선상의 어려움이 야기되는 것으로 분석되었다. To design ship channel is one of important factors for planning and developing a port. In most care, the core factors for designing ship channel are the layout and width of channel provided the net underkeel clearance is secured to be safe enough to pass. In this study, Variable Bumper Area(VBA) model is applied to design and assess ship channel. This model reflects ship’s particular, ship domain theory, ship speed and mariner’s ship handling skill and experience, especially external forces which cause leeway, set and drift and the change of ship maneuvering characteristics. A real time, full mission shiphandling simulator is used to analyze ship dynamic data according to mariner’s ship control, external forces, etc. This model defines Domain-index for assessing the efficiency and safety of the channel. The proposed model is applied to Ulsan new port plan which has a channel width of 1.5 times the length of the largest vessel, a radius of 5 times the length of the largest vessel in a curve 57 degree centerline angle and SBM facility adjacent to the lateral edge of channel. The result of this study shows that the width of the channel and radius of channel curve are suitable for the target ship but the difficulty of ship handling is caused by the large course change and SBM located in the vicinity of channel.

        가변범퍼영역모델을 이용한 항로설계기법(Ⅱ)

        항만의 계획 및 개발단계에서 중요한 요소 중 하나는 항로의 설계이다. 항로를 설계할 때 가능한 한 만곡부를 피해야 하지만, 그렇지 못할 경우에는 변침파정에서 추가적으로 발생하는 항과면적의 증가를 고려하여 항로의 폭을 확장하고 항로를 배치하는 것이 선박의 안전한 통항에 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 가변범퍼영역모델을 이용하여 만곡부의 항로의 폭과 항로의 배치를 결정하는 기법을 다룬다. 모델실험결과 만곡부 중심교각이 30도 미만인 경우 만곡부의 항로의 폭을 직선구간에서의 항로의 폭과 동일하게 설계할 수 있지만, 만곡부 중심교각이 60도인 경우에는 만곡부의 항로의 폭을 대상선박의 길이와 만곡부의 중심교각에 따라 확장해야 할 것으로 분석되었다. To design ship channels is one of important factors for planning and developing a port. Bends in channels should be avoided if possible, but the channel should be widened, if channel bend is unavoidable, considering the swept path of a ship for safe passage. In this study, Variable Bumper Area(VBA) model is applied to determine the channel widths in bends. The result of this study shows that the width of the bend may be designed as nearly same size of that in straight channel in case that the angle of deflection is less than 30 degrees, and that of the bend with 60 degrees deflection should be widened based on the length of the largest ship using the channel and the angle of deflection
