This study was conducted to estimate nitrogen dioxide levels and health risk in various locations/situations for two groups. The nitrogen dioxide levels were measured for residents of a study group (industrial area within 5 km) and a control group (15 km farther), respectively using the nitrogen dioxide filter badge as a passive sampler from August, 2006 to September, 2006. The means of indoor, outdoor, work and personal levels of nitrogen dioxide were $34.65{\pm}1.95\;{\mu}g/m^3$, $34.83{\pm}11.78\;{\mu}g/m^3$, $34.98{\pm}19.11$ and $35.38{\pm}10.74$ respectively in the study area. Mean ratio of indoor to outdoor $NO_2$ concentration was 0.99. The means of indoor, outdoor and personal level of nitrogen dioxide were $23.66{\pm}7.19\;{\mu}g/m^3$, $18.22{\pm}4.06\;{\mu}g/m^3$ and $27.27{\pm}18.93\;{\mu}g/m^3$ respectively in the control area. Mean ratio of indoor to outdoor $NO_2$ concentration was 1.39. People spent 80.9% of their time in indoor at the study area and 76.9% at the control area. The percentages of time spent in outdoor were 14.9% and 20.9% at the study area and the control area respectively. The percentages of time spent in a car were 4.2% and 2.2% in the study and control areas respectively. The levels of indoor, outdoor, workplace nitrogen dioxide in the study area and the control area were found below the permissible level of health-hazardous effects.

A pilot study was conducted in order to investigate the concentration of formaldehyde at elementary school, middle school, the high school (108 classrooms) located in Chungchong-namdo during February - September, 2006. Also, divide by (45 classroom) General Classroom and (63 classrooms) Stateroom. The average concentrations of formaldehyde(HCHO) in the general classroom was high by $22.87\;{\pm}\;20.61\;{\mu}g/m^3$ elementary school, $22.08\;{\pm}\;12.70\;{\mu}g/m^3$ high school, $13.58\;{\pm}\;6.60\;{\mu}g/m^3$ middle school. The average concentrations of formaldehyde(HCHO) in the Stateroom was high by $27.58\;{\pm}\;30.5{\mu}g/m^3$ elementary school, $22.03\;{\pm}\;19.12\;{\mu}g/m^3\;22.87\;{\pm}\;20.61\;{\mu}g/m^3$ middle school, $24.92\;{\pm}\;28.15\;{\mu}g/m^3$ high school. There was correlation between formaldehyde concentrations and temperature, humidity in general classroom (P<0.05).

This study was conducted to investigate air quality in the underground parking lot of department store. Sampling sites were selected to the three sites in one department store. Measuring instrument started from November 3rd, 2005 to November 9, 2005. Target air quality parameters include a number of criteria pollutants such as NOx, O₃. The purpose of this study was to find out the present condition of indoor air quality in underground parking space of department store. Through the field measurement, the current situation and the behavior of contaminants were investigated and then was compared with the advice standards. The result of this study was as follows; The Average density of NOx gas and O₃ gas was maintained below the indoor air advice standards. The Average density of NOx gas and O₃ gas was highly measured during the weekend than during the week day. Average density of NOx gas and O₃ gas was highly measured at daytime than that of afternoon. Average density of NOx gas was highly measured in the center area than the other area. Average density of O₃ gas was highly measured at the entrance than the other area. NOx gas concentration was maintained below 0.3ppm, an average for 1 hours, as defined in the parking space law. O₃ gas concentration was maintained below 0.08ppm, an average for 1 hours, as defined in the parking space law.

This research, selected for 40 classrooms(20 old, 20 new) in chungnam area from June 22 to July 19 and from November 21 to December 30, 2003, in order to study of Recognition of Indoor Air Quality of Indoor Environment at School. we used Questionnaire for 193 health teachers, 41 teachers, and 1,359 students. The results of study are as follows. 1. To the question 'Currently Were you damage caused by classroom air?', showed that worry class teachers more than students with 43.9% of class teachers, 35.9% of health teachers and 23.5% of students. 2. To the question ‘What would be an efficient way to manage classroom sanitation?', 50% of class teachers, 40.5% of health teachers and 47.4% of students wanted ‘installation of air purifier.' 3. To the question How are you getting information about indoor air pollution?', showed that all of 3 groups get information through on TV. 4. According to survey, Health teachers who act as health supervisors appeared to have more prior knowledge air quality than class teachers and students. The results of this research show insufficient understanding of health risks from indoor air pollution, and shows possible health problems to students from school indoor air pollution. Therefore, these results suggested that a logical and systematic education program for students about the importance of indoor air quality should be carried out.
