In order to examine the influence of precipitated Zirconium alloy on the failure behavior and fracture strength according to temperature and specimen's orientation, tensile tests were performed at R.T. 300℃, 350℃ and 400℃. Also high cycle fatigue test (stress ratio R=1) was performed at R.T. The test specimen was sheet-type specimens with gage length of 12.5 mm and thickness of 0.46㎜. Depending on the direction of the specimen, tensile and fatigue strength showed different behavior. It is shown that the date are strongly influence by the temperature. Also scanning electron microscope was used to observation of the fractured specimen surface after all tests.

In order to evaluate the wear resistance of Zirconium alloy and Inconel alloy, abrasive wear test performed by using Pin-on-disk apparatus. To relative analyze of wear resistance for Zirconium alloy and Inconel alloy, pin specimen that composed with SM45C was used. Quantity of wear compared with specific wear rate and friction coefficienct for each materials, and worn surface observed by SEM. Based on the test result, the wear resistance of each materials under various sliding speed and sliding distance were discussed in detail.
