There are many similarities on all aspects of history, politics. and economy between Korea and Taiwan. The both countries have been highly growing their economies since the 1960s. The strategies of their economic growth will be shown in the following statements, especially, industrial systems, technical developments, trade policies, main trade goods and regional relationships. Furthermore, there will be stated what the countries significantly have in common with each their as well as important differences. Having been highly evaluated in satisfactory results of their economic growth, their firm and reliable economic developments will be followed if they both keep making up for the weak points.

Due to its close location geographically, Korea, Taiwan and China have kept exchanging their cultures one another, and that remarkably in economy and trade. In other words, China is the 3rd largest market following US and Japan, and Taiwan is the 4th. In this view, recently China and Taiwans joining into WTO is expected to bring a considerable effect on Koreas trade and invest to them. This research is composed with 4 sections, which are the procedure of China and Taiwans entrance into WTO, its purposes, and the effect on Koreas trade and invest, and the countermeasures of Korea.

중국시장에서 대만과 중국은 동일 민족이기 때문에 경쟁조건에서 근본적으로 비교적 한국보다 유리하여 대만이 중국시장에서 경쟁력이 한국보다 약간 높으나 IMF외환위기 경제개혁을 추진한 한국이 대만을 추월하는 추세를 보이고 있다. Taiwan has a comparative advantage fundamentally than South Korea in China Market since Taiwan and China are same national homogeneity. However South Korea with economic reform after IMF crisis, 1997 has a higher economic growth than Twain without economic reform in the trend.
