A double-balanced frequency up-convener using the Gilbert cell structure has been designed with the TSMC 0.18 ㎛ CMOS library. The frequency up-converter consists of a core, IF balun, and LO balun block. In the core block, 4 source degeneration resistors are used to improve the mixer’s linearity. The frequency up-converter exhibits 12 ㏈ conversion gain with a 0 ㏈m P1㏈ for IF power of -11 ㏈m and LO power of 0 ㏈m inputs.

A single-side band double-balanced mixer using the Gilbert cell structure has been designed with the TSMC 0.18 ㎛ CMOS library. The SSB Up-Mixer consists of a core, IF balun-phase shifter, and LO balun-phase shifter block. In the core block, 4-source-coupled degeneration resistors are used to improve the mixer’s linearity. The SSB mixer exhibits a 15.4 ㏈ conversion gain with a 0.4 ㏈m P1㏈ for IF power of - 14 ㏈m and LO power of 0 ㏈m inputs. The image rejection ratio is - 23.7 ㏈c at a 0.4 ㏈m output power.
다물체동역학기법을 이용한 진공 회로차단기의 캠윤곽 최적설계

진공회로차단기의 성능이 스프링조작기에 많이 좌우되기 때문에, 스프링조작기의 해석이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 스프링의 특성시험을 먼저 수행한 후, 시험결과를 RecurDyn 프로그램을 이용한 컴퓨터시뮬레이션 스프링모델링에 이용하였다. 개발된 진공회로차단기의 다물체동역학 모델을 이용하여 차단기의 스템변위와 샤프트 회전각에 대한 시뮬레이션 하였으며, 시뮬레이션 결과를 시험과 비교 검증하였다. 검증된 다물체동역학 모델을 사용하여 차단속도를 증가시키기 위한 캠의 최적윤곽을 얻었다. Since the performance of a vacuum circuit breaker (VCB) mainly depends on the spring operating mechanism, an analysis of the spring operating mechanism is required in order to improve the design of a VCB. In this study, the static stiffness of the spring was determined by using a material testing machine, and the test results were used to model the spring through computer simulation. The multi-body dynamic model of the spring was established by using the RecurDyn program. The dynamic model was verified by comparing the results of stem displacements and rotating angles of the brake shaft obtained from the simulation and from the experiments. After verification of the dynamic model of VCB, the cam profile of the VCB was optimized through multi-body dynamics simulation in order to improve the performance of the closing mechanism.

In recent, the size of spring type circuit breaker is smaller and smaller for reducing the product costs through the technology development. In this research, for the purpose of improving the design technology, a systematic research through the experiment and computer-based dynamic analysis are carried out. RecurDyn program is employed for the multi-body dynamic analysis. The vacuum circuit breaker(VCB) is modeled as the multi-body systems and the brake shaft is considered as a flexible body for including flexible effects during operation. The simulation results show good agreements with experiments according to stem displacements and rotating angle of the brake shaft.
