Effect of Ultra-Thin SnO2 Coating on Pt Catalyst for Energy Applications

In this paper, we present a simple and novel approach for stabilizing a porous metal-based nanostructure through atomic layer deposition in which ultra-thin tin oxide (SnO2) coats platinum (Pt) film. After heating the ultra-thin tin oxide-coated Pt samples at 300oC and 500oC and observing the in situ sheet resistance variations of Pt for 20 hours, we found that the ultra-thin tin oxide coating suppresses metal agglomeration. The thermal stability of ultra-thin tin oxide-coated Pt was greater than that of pure Pt, even at 300oC and 500oC. More interestingly, the ultra-thin tin oxide coating was found to maintain the morphology of its underlying porous Pt at test temperatures of 300oC and 500oC.
Characteristic Behaviors on Air-breathing Direct Methanol Fuel Cells

This paper investigated environmental effects of passive, air-breathing, and vapor-feeding direct methanol fuel cells (PAVDMFCs). In these experiments, main experimental parameters are temperature (30℃, 40℃) and relative humidity (25%,75%). From these experimental results, the humidity plays a key role in terms of the water management at the cathode catalyst layer. During pure methanol feeding, the peak performance shows in relative humidity 25% and 40℃. Under high humidity condition (relative humidity 75%), the water flooding of cathode blocks the oxygen reduction reaction at the cathode. The low humidity (relative humidity 25%) decreases the flooding of the cathode, in which the Warburg of relative humidity 25% decreases rather than that of relative humidity 75%. We concluded that rich water contents of the cathode slightly decrease activation overpotentials.
Air-breathing Flexible Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)-based Fuel Cell

The paper examines a fabrication method of flexible fuel cells (FCs), and its feasibility through a set of electrical measurements both in the as-prepared and the bended condition. The flexible FC consists of three parts: membrane electrode assembly (MEA), anode and cathode endplates with current collectors. The endplate material for anode and cathode used in this study is Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), and metallic films are sputtered on a patterned PDMS to use the resulting structure as current collector. The power density of bended cell with the curvature of ~1.8 m-1 decreased by ~30% compared to the as-prepared (non-bended) cell.
여행상품의 전자입찰 과정이 거래공정성에 미치는 영향 연구

본 연구는 여행상품 전자입찰과정에서 입찰주관자인 입찰기관의 담당자 관점에서 전자입찰을 통한 여행상품 구매 시 거래공정성에 대한 인식을 확인하며, 이를 통해서 여행상품 전자입찰의 거래에서 공정성의 어려움이 없도록 하고 여행상품의 거래 활성화가 이루어지도록 하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서 채택한 연구 방법으로는 문헌연구와 실증 연구를 병행하였고, 설문지의 구성은 조사대상자의 일반적인 내용, 여행상품의 전자입찰과정, 여행상품 전자입찰의 거래공정성에 관한 설문으로 이루어졌다. 조사대상자는 전자입찰 또는 용역입찰로 국외여행상품, 국내여행상품, 관광버스, 단일 관광상품(호텔, 식사, 항공권 등)과 같은 여행상품을 구매한 경험이 있는 입찰기관의 담당자이며, 학교, 정부기관, 정부투자기관, 협회 및 단체, 기업 등의 기관에서 기획, 총무, 경리, 교육, 영업, 판매, 계약, 입찰에 종사하는 직원들을 대상으로 하였다. 분석방법으로는 여행상품 전자입찰에 대한 일반적 행태를 알아보기 위해서 빈도분석을 실시하였으며, 변수들의 신뢰성과 타당성 검사를 위하여 R-타입 요인분석을 실시하였고, 여행상품 전자입찰 과정과 거래공정성의 영향검증을 위하여 회귀분석을 실시하였고 입찰기관의 집단 간의 차이를 알아보기 위하여 차이분석을 실시하였으며, 연구결과는 여행상품의 거래방식의 변화는 시대적인 요구상황이고 현재의 거래 방식의 변화는 미래의 거래방식의 확립을 위한 필수불가결한 조건인 것이다. The purpose of this study is to confirm recognition of transaction fairness in the time for buying travel products in the viewpoint of tendering officialese as a organizer in the middle of electronic tendering process of travel products, to make no difficulties of transaction fairness and revitalize the transactions of travel products. Both literature review and empirical study were used in this study and the questionnaire was composed of general lists regarding the recipient, the travel products' electronic tendering process, and the perception regarding the fairness of the travel products' electronic tendering process. This study identified that the change of transaction method is the needs of the times and indispensable condition to establish future transaction method Due to changes within transactional methods and current economic conditions further studies will be needed.

At present, our society is investigating various next generation vehicles, including hybrid vehicles (HVs), electric vehicles (EVs), and fuel cell vehicles (FCVs). However, those type cars are absolutely different in terms of driving distance based on power sources. We compared fuel economy of FCVs, assuming a basic vehicle model. FCVs have a strong advantage for long driving distance (>400km) and a better fuel economy in same range. As a result, the market targets of fuel cell vehicle types and the cost per driving distance were identified differently by driving distance.
