Rubbers of vehicle engine mounting are attached at the engine that contributes the biggest vibrating energy. To design the engine mounting, NVH and durability performances are important, but those mostly conflict with each other. To solve this challenging task, Analytical Target Cascading optimization algorithm was used. Engine mtg. system was divided to dynamic solution and durability solution. To connect these two functional differences, rubbers’ stiffness was calculated individually from dynamic solver and FEM solver. And then the Analytical Target Cascading optimized the engine mtg. reducing the difference between them. To avoid abandonment due to late solution, Meta modeling was derived from design of experiment analysis. As a result, the optimized design became to satisfy both NVH and durability performance target.
