        철도 ZigBee 통신용 단락패치 안테나

        This paper presents a 2.45-GHz shorted patch antenna suitable for the ZigBee communication in railway environments. The proposed antenna consists of a shorted patch fed by a coaxial line, an 1-mm thick FR-4 substrate radome with the patch printed on the back surface and a metal cavity. The patch is shorted using one of the cavity walls and matched in impedance by connecting the coaxial probe at a suitable point in the patch length direction. The length and width of the patch are 27.6mm(0.225λ<SUB>0</SUB>) and 21.0mm(0.172λ<SUB>0</SUB>) respectively. The whole antenna structure including the metal cavity and the coaxial feed line is optimized, fabricated and measured. Measurements show that the proposed antenna has a 4.0-dBi gain at 2.45GHz and a reflection coefficient of less than -10dB at 2.375-2.525GHz.

        유통·물류 적용을 위한 수동형 UHF RFID 태그의 성능 분석

        In this paper, the performances of passive UHF RFID tags, which are ordinarily used in distribution and logistics applications, are measured and analyzed. Major factors of the performances on the tag contain a tags sensitivity S<SUB>tag</SUB>, a backscattered power ratio ηBS, a backscattered modulation depth ΔM, and a reading range in the static state and recognition ratio in the dynamic state. The measurement procedures based on theoretical approaches of these major factors are concretely presented. 20 types of tags are chosen and 30 items are randomly selected at each tag-type for enhancing the measurement reliability. It is desirable to use tags having the sensitivity of less than ±0.5 dB in comparison with the mean value of selected samples for obtaining proper reading range. Tags show high recognition ratios in the use of dynamic state, which attached on the product box far away nearby metal structures and have the modulation depth greater than 3mV.

        벌룬 일체형 V-다이폴 안테나 설계

        This paper presents a V-dipole antenna with an integrated balun having wideband and low cross polarization characteristics. The proposed antenna consists of V-shaped dipole wires, a feeding coaxial cable, and a balun. The V-dipole wire no. 2 is connected to the outer conductor of the coaxial cable and the V-dipole wire no. 1 is connected to the inner conductor. A balun conductor parallel to the feeding coaxial cable is connected to the V-dipole wire no. 1 and the feeding cable and the balun conductor are connected to each other with a wire at a point a quarter-wave away from the V-dipole feed point to form an integrated balun. An optimum design with the widest bandwidth is obtained by varying the angle between the V-dipole wires. In addition, characteristics are presented for the designed V-dipole operating above a ground plane and above a reflector wire. Measurements of the the designed V-dipole show that the proposed antenna has co-polarization gain of 2.0dBi and cross-polarization gain of -29dBi at 2.25GHz, reflection coefficient of less then -10B at 2.00~2.60GHz.
