1976년에 4색문제-종이( a plane )위에 세계지도를 색칠할 때 서로 인접하는 나라( a connected region )가 다른색이 되도록 하려면 4가지 색만으로 충분한가?-가 해결되었다. 많은 수학자들이 단순하게 보이는 이 문제를 해결하기 위해서 100년이상 노력하였으나 실패를 거듭하고, 전혀 예기하지 않았던 컴퓨터의 도움으로 이 정리가 증명되고 이것을 검토할 수 있는 유일한 방법이 컴퓨터로 가능하다는 결과에 실망과 경악을 금치 못했다. 언제가, 4색정리는 전통적인 방법을 탈피하여 새로운 방법으로 간결한 증명이 발견될 수 있을 것이다. 아마도 뛰어난 재능을 지닌 고교생이 해결할 수 있을 것이다.

Fuzzy Mappings and Fuzzy Equivalence Relations

Equivalence relations and mappings for crisp sets are very well known. This paper attempts an investigation of equivalence relations and mappings for fuzzy sets. We list some concepts and results related to fuzzy relations. We give some examples corresponding to the concept of fuzzy equality and fuzzy mapping introduced by Demirci [1]. In addition, we introduce the notion of preimage and quotient of fuzzy equivalence relations. Finally, we investigate relations between a fuzzy equivalence relation and a fuzzy mapping.

Intuitionistic Interval-Valued Fuzzy Toploogical Spaces

By usiing the concept of intuitionistic interval-valued fuzzy sets, we introduce the notion of intuitionistic interval-valued fuzzy topology. Ad we study some fundametal properties of intuitionistic interval-valued fuzzy topological spaces : First, we obtain analogues [see Theorem 3.11 and 3.12] of neighborhood systems in ordinary topological spaces Second, we obtai the result[see Theorem 4.9] corresponding to "the 14-set Theorem" in ordinary topological spaces Finally, we give the initial structure of intuitionistic interval-valued fuzzy topologies [see Theorem 5.9]

Intuitionistic smooth Topological Spaces

We introduce the concept of intuitionistic smooth topology in Lowen's sense and we prove that the family IST(X) of all intuitionistic smooth topologies on a set is a meet complete lattice with least element and the greatest element [Proposition 3.6]. Also we introduce the notion of level fuzzy topology on a set X with respect to an intuitionistic smooth topology and we obtain the relation between the intuitionistic smooth topology t and the intuitionistic smooth topology n generated by level fuzzy topologies with respect to t [Theorem 3.10].

인간은 제한된 시공속에서 개인적인 실체(reality) 즉, 뜻 깊은 사적 영역을 소유한다고 볼 때, 교육이란 그 실체를 확장시키는 것이라 할 수 있다. 이 확대과정은 비판 능력과 사고력의 발달을 포함한다. 교육 받은 사람은 무엇을 숙고하고, 평가하고, 경험하고 문제점을 파악할 수 있으며 그의 특징은 통찰력과 이해력을 갖고서 어떤 정보를 수집하고 분석하여 활용할 수 있는 능력을 갖는다는 점이다. 좀 역설적으로 교육 받은 사람은 자신의 교육을 자율적으로 경영할 수 있다고 표현할 수 있다. 가르친다는 것은 준비된 기초 위에서 단계적으로 출발해야만 성공할 수 있다. 자연 현상에서 군(Group)의 존재를 실감하는 학생만이 군론 연구에 참여할 수 있을 것이며, 기본적인 물리학을 이해할 수 있을 때, 미분방정식에 참된 관심을 기울일 수 있다. 또 무한급수에 많은 생각을 가지고 있을 때만 그의 수렴성을 심화시킬 수 있다는 것이다. 한 학생에게 베르누이, 달랑베르, 오일러, 라그랑쥬 등과 관련된 푸리에(Fourier)정리를 이해할 수 있는 수학만을 가르친다면 그 학생은 수학을 결코 어렵거나 무의미한 것으로 여기지 않을 뿐만 아니라 오히려 흥미있는 지적 세계를 탐험한다고 느낄 것이다. 수학은 문화의 경험적인 요소이다. 수학은 문화형성을 위해 중요한 교육적 기여를 할 수 있고 해야만 한다. 이런 역할을 수행할 수 없다면 수학은 쉽게 빛을 바랠 것이다. 수학의 장점이 핵심적인 사상을 다루지 못하는 너무 많은 무의미한 정리들 때문에 질식되어버릴 위험을 가지고 있다. 아울러 사소한 선입관, 다른 수학의 여러 분야들이 지나치게 자기 중심적인 세분화, 양식(良識)을 갖추지 못한 전문가를 양성하려고 하는 왜곡된 교육 목적이 위대한 수학적 아이디어를 병들게 하는 것들이다. 수학의 교육적 잠재력을 실현하기 위해서는 기술적인 측면에 기울이는 관심 못지 않게 구조적, 역사적, 발생학적, 철학적인 측면에서 노력이 필요하다. 다양한 수학의 화제들을 역사적으로 접근할 수 있는 문헌이 다소나마 존재한다는 것은 퍽 다행스러운 일이다. 여기에서는 단지 수학적 화제를 여러 수학자들이 해결한 것들의 메아리에 불과하지만, 구조적 접근 방법으로 설명하고자 한다. 여기에 포함된 기술적인 내용은 분수의 덧셈에서 푸리에의 정리까지 분포되어 있다. 구조적인 접근 방법이 이런 다양성으로 인하여 수학의 특정한 한 분야에 편중되지 않는 정점이 있기 때문이다.

完備距離空間에서 定義된 連續函數의 反復으로 發生하는 動力學的 極限의 여러 性質을 調査하고, 擴張位相同型寫像의 擴張常數들이 compact 距離空間에서 有界인 性質을 보이고, 擴張位相同型寫像의 同値인 命題를 證明한다. We investigate several properties of ω-and α-limit sets for a continuous map on a complete metric space. We show the boundedness of the set of expansive constants and prove the equivalent conditions for expansive homeomorphism on a compact mertic spaces.

위상공간 사이의 연속함수의 확장성은 호모토피 동치류에서 불변이므로, 축소변형함수와 호모토피 확장성질의 관계를 연구하고 동치관계의 문제들을 세 정리(3.3,3.4,3.5)로 설정하여 증명한다. Extendability of continuous maps between topological spaces is the homotopy invariant In this paper, we study some relations between retraction and extendability and prove three theorem's(3.3,3.4,3.5) concerning about the homotopy question of extension problem.
