본 연구는 전 세계 공항 중 주요 30개 공항의 2010년부터 2018년까지 자료를 이용하여 세계 주요 공항의 발전에 영향을 미치는 요인 및 환경을 분석하여 향후 항공 산업의 발전방안을 모색하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 DEA모형의 CCR모형과 Malmquist 생산성 지수를 이용하여 국제공항들의 효율성 및 생산성을 실증분석하였다. 분석결과 CCR모형에서는 CN, HAK, AMS, MEL, CPT 등의 효율성 지수가 1에 수렴하여 효율성 관점에서는 대부분의 국제공항이 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 대륙별 효율성 평균은 상대적으로 아시아가 가장 높고, 반면 북아메리카가 가장 낮은 효율성을 보였다. 또한, 30개 공항 모두 시간이 지날수록 효율성이 하락하는 경향을 보였다. Malmquist 생산성 지수는 대륙별 생산성 지수, 내부 효율성 지수, 기술적 효율성 지수로 분리하여 측정하였다. 분석결과 오세아니아와 아프리카는 기술적 효율성에 영향을 크게 받는 것으로 나타났지만, 상대적으로 북아메리카는 내부 효율성에 크게 영향을 받지 않는다는 것을 알 수 있다. 전반적으로 5대륙의 주요공항 모두 내부 효율성이 많이 감소하였으며, 이는 경영혁신을 통해 공항 스스로 내부적인 경영 효율화를 위한 노력이 필요함을 시사하고 있다. This study seeks to explore future developments in the aviation industry by analyzing the factors and environments affecting the development of the world's major airports using data from 2010 to 2018. For this purpose, this study demonstrated the efficiency and productivity of international airports by using the CCR model of the DEA model and the Malmquist productivity index. The results of the analysis show that the efficiency indices of CN, HAK, AMS, MEL, and CPT are so good that they do not need to be improved from the efficiency perspective by converging on 1. The continental efficiency average was relatively high in Asia, while North America showed the lowest efficiency. In addition, all 30 airports tended to see their efficiency decline over time. The Malmquist productivity index was measured separately by the Continental Productivity Index, the Internal Efficiency Index, and the Technical Efficiency Index. The analysis shows that Oceania and Africa are significantly affected by technical efficiency, but relatively, North America is not significantly affected by internal efficiency. Overall, all five major airports on the five continents saw a significant reduction in internal efficiency, which means that efforts should be made for internal management efficiency of the airport itself through management innovation.
