Background: This study aimed to examine international students’ perceptions, characteristics, use of public medical services, and satisfaction with the National Health Insurance System, and compared the results with the Health Insurance System Perception Survey conducted on Korean population to understand the differences between the two groups’ perceptions of the health insurance system and their use of medical services. Methods: A survey was conducted from May 23, 2022 to June 21, 2022 to measure various data of international students related to the National Health Insurance System and analyzed the results. Results: Most international students were in their 20s (the average age was 23±2.06 years), which showed that they were less likely to use medical services compared to Korean population in their 20s. Both Korean population and international students viewed their subjective health as generally good. Regarding the perceptions of the National Health Insurance System, 75.6% of the Korean population responded positively, while only 16% of international students responded positively. The biggest reason for the negative responses was the higher contributions compared to private health insurance, showing that financial hardship played a large role in the negative perceptions. The insurance contribution calculation methods by the Government showed differences. International students receive the same insurance contributions regardless of their nationality, age, income, or assets. Conclusions: Through this study, it has been confirmed that further research and examination are needed regarding the application of Korean health insurance to foreign residents and the appropriate calculation of insurance contributions.

Two hundred and forty commercial female day-old broiler chicks were used to investigate the effects of high-fiber grains on the growth rate and various gut sizes. Four experimental diets were formulated to have similar energy and protein contents, with corn and sorghum as low-fiber grains, and rye and hulled barley as high-fiber grains. Birds were housed randomly in 20 wire-floor cages. There were 5 replicates per treatment and 12 chicks per replicate (pen). At 3 wk of age, rye-fed broiler chicks grew at significantly lower rate than did the other birds. At 6 wk of age, the growth rates of birds fed rye and sorghum were significantly lower than those of birds fed barley and corn. The feed efficiency of the rye treatment at 6 wk of age was significantly poorer than those of corn and barley treatments, and that of the sorghum treatment was intermediate. The fiber levels in grains did not exert any consistent effect on the weights of liver, gizzard and pancreas of broilers at 6 wk.of age. However, the intestines of birds fed high fiber grains tended to be heavier and longer than those fed low fiber grains, and this trend was especially noticeable in rye-fed birds. The microscopic observation of deal and colonic tissue slides from 3-and 6-wk-old broiler chicks revealed no difference in diameter, villi length, and in the thickness of muscularis mucosae, circular muscle layer and longitudinal muscle layer. However, the diameter of colon in 6-wk-old rye-fed birds was significantly larger than those fed the other grains.

Recently, adhesive-bonding technique is wifely used in manufacturing structures. Stress and strain analysis of joints are essential to design adhesive-bonded joints structure. The single-lap adhesive joint is the design dominating the range of adhesive joints. In this study, single-lap specimens with different joint dimensions were used for the tensile-shear test and finite element calculation in of order to investigate the effect of overlap length and adhesive-bonding thickness on adhesive strength and stress distribution of the joints. Consequently, it was found that overlap lap size and thickness can be important parameters of structure joints using adhesive bonding, which is effected on adhesive strength.

This study was intended to use for the fatigue test in real structures and offer basic data for optimum welding structure design. To this purpose, we obserded the effect of the size and distance of plug welding hole on the static strength and fatigue life of welding structure under the shear/bending load for the improvement of fatigue life of plug welding joint between S/MBR and C/MBR in the lower structure of large bus. The result below is shown through this study. 1) Static and fatigue strength are strongly influenced by the direction of plug weld hole distributed. 2) Distances and diameters of the distributed holes are little dependent on the static strengths 3) In case of the directions of the distributed plug weld holes are vertical to the loading pin, fatigue life is dependent on distance of the distributed hole. 4) In case of the directions of the distributed plug weld holes are parallel to the loading pin, fatigue life is dependent on distance of the hole diameter.

One of the important advantage of adhesive bonded joint can combine the different materials. The joint that bonded by structural adhesive bond must keep a large force and its strength is affected by some environmental factors such as temperature and submergence time in water. In order to advance the fatigue strength of adhesive bonded joint, mostly put a surface treatment on the surface. This study was researched the effect of air temperature, submergence time, submergence temperature and surface treatment on the fatigue strength. We found that submergence temperature has the most effect and low plasma treatment specimens have the most fatigue strength.

Our major concern is to develop a new efficient methodology for finite element analysis of welding processes. Level set method and a new finite element called MLS-based variable-node element are included in the method to deal with the evolving solid-fluid interface, generated from melting or solidification in the course of welding. This method is capable of solving a variety of multi-physics problems with evolving solid-fluid interfaces, only with the minimal adjustment of finite element meshes without a large scale remeshing. An accurate the sizes of HAZ(Heat Affected Zone) and MZ(Melting Zone) are now well predictable with new methodology when applied to welding processes. Several numerical examples are included to demonstrate the effectiveness and accuracy of the present scheme.

Tracking of evolving solid-fluid interfaces is treated using level set method and MLS-based finite element with variable nodes. Several applications will be illustrated to demonstrate the effectiveness of the present scheme
