정신교육의 관점에서 본 군 인성교육 고찰

우리 군의 임무는 국토방위이다. 언제 일어날지 모르는 전장 환경에서 군인으로서 강인한 정신력은 가장 중요하며, 이것은 곧 전투력 발휘에 핵심 원동력이 될 수 있다. 이러한 전투력을 발휘하기 위하여 우리 군에서는 장병들에게 정신교육을 실시하고 있다. 그러나 현재 우리 군에 입대하고 있는 장병들은 입시 위주의 교육현실과 가정교육의 교육적 기능의 악화와 사회적인 부정적인 의식구조를 갖게 되어 가치와 인식 간에 심리적 갈등을 경험하면서 군에 입대하고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 정신교육은 군의 무형전력을 함양하는데 중추적인 역할을 담당하고 있으며, 더불어 2015년 7월에는 세계최초로 인성교육진흥법이 시행되어 우리 군에서도 인성교육까지 시행하여야 하는 실정에 처해 있다. 그러나 우리군에서 말하고 있는 정신교육 안에는 이미 많은 부분 ‘인성교육’의 내용을 포함하고 있으며, 정신교육을 위해 쓰이고 있는 유사한 용어들이 존재하고 있어 혼란을 야기할 우려도 동시에 상존하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 정신교육과 인성교육에 대한 개념정의나 동의가 명확한 초점이 이루어지지 않는 상황에서 앞으로 인성교육이 이루어지기 위한 전제조건으로 정신교육과 관련된 유사개념 체계 등을 재정리하며 더불어 바람직한 군 인성교육의 필요성 및 목표 그리고 향후 발전방안을 위한 과제 등을 고찰해 보고자 한다. Therefore, we intend to rearrange the conceptual education concepts of the 21st Century, "Mental Education", "Military Ethics", Character of Military Ethics, to explore the concepts of the 21st Century. The research method revolved around theoretical considerations, such as books and academic journals, and other publications. The composition of this study involves comparing the concepts of similar and adjacent terms of the military to a variety of contexts in the military, and seeks to explore the areas of nature education that should be addressed in our military.

영어교사 자질: 교사 및 학습자 인식

This study explored students’ and teachers’ perceptions of the qualities of a good English teacher by administering a questionnaire (Kim, 2002) to Korean high school students and English teachers in Seoul. The questionnaire consisted of 40 items concerning teaching, testing, interaction, and the personality of the teacher. Thirty six teachers and 172 students participated in this study. When data was analyzed, some differences as well as similarities were found in the perceptions of teachers and students in terms of their responses to questionnaire items. Results of the study showed that teachers perceived four skills (i.e., speaking, listening, reading, and writing) as the most important, followed by impartial treatment of students and sincere attitude. Students perceived impartial treatment as the most significant, followed by the four skills, and sincere attitude. Although teachers rated the four skills slightly higher than did the students, both groups of participants viewed them as essential and one of the most significant qualities in association with a good English teacher. 한국군의 정신교육에서 애국심 고양 방향

본 논문은 한국군의 정신교육에서 애국심 고양 방향을 제시하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 군인이 국가를 사랑하는 것은 자신의 존재이유(raison d’ȇtre)를 담보하기 위함이다. 그래서 군 정신교육에서 애국심의 위치를 고찰해 보기 위해 우선 애국심의 정의와 국가를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 고대시대에서는 공공의 자유가 실현되는 정치 제제에 대한 관심이 애국심으로 드러나는 것으로 나타났다. 중세시대의 애국심은 국왕으로 상징되는 ‘patriot’에 대한 사랑으로 변화되고 있었으며, 르네상스 시대에는 절대적인 기독교적 가치에서 벗어나 특수하고 개별적인 것에도 관심을 갖게 되면서 인간에 대한 순수한 관심으로 변화되었다. 그 후, 애국심의 개념적 정의는 ‘국가’라는 존재와 국가에 대한 충성 또는 사랑의 감정을 가지는 주체인 국민으로 정리될 수 있었다. 다음으로 애국심 교육에 관한 선행 연구 및 애국심의 대상으로서 국가에 대한 내용을 고찰해 보았다. 끝으로 애국심 고양을 위한 군 정신교육의 발전방향에 대해 양성과정에서의 군 정신교육과 야전부대에서의 군 정신교육 그리고 교관 양성기관에서의 군 정신교육 및 교육 개발 모델 제시 및 살아 있는 참여식 토론 수업이 되는 방법들에 관하여 제안하였다. This paper aims to show the directions to increase patriotism in the Moral Education at the ROK Armed Forces. It is true that a soldier loves her country"s reason for being (raison d"ȇtre). First of all, this paper has focused on patriotism and the national anthem. In the ancient era, the public interest in political formulations emerged as a sign of patriotism. Patriotism in the Middle Ages was transformed into a love for patriarchal values. And in the Renaissance era, it was changed to a unique and individual thing, and became a pure concern of human beings. Then, the concept of patriotism could be summarized as a love for a citizen, a subject with a feeling of loyalty or love for the state (and so the existence of the "state"). In the following section, this paper has reviewed previous studies on patriotic education and has reconstructed the nation as a subject of patriotism. The moral education in the military has made a large contribution towards the development of the ROK Armed Forces since its foundation. Furthermore, it has also looked at patriotism in the moral education and patriotism education, and led to a discussion about the location of patriotism and patriotism in the moral education. In the conclusion of this paper, we have made suggestions to increase patriotism in the moral education at the ROK Armed Forces.

노인 외로움이 영향요인 분석

Purpose: This study was done to investigate the relationship of family function, self-esteem, life satisfaction, and general characteristics to loneliness in community dwelling Korean elders and identify factors affecting loneliness. Method: With a cross-sectional causal-relationship design and a convenience sample, 205 elders residing in three districts of the city of Seoul, S. Korea were recruited. Participants were assessed using the Family APGAR Score, Self-Esteem Scale, Life-Satisfaction Scale, and Revised UCLA Loneliness Scale. Results: The mean score for degree of loneliness (Mean=39.61, SD=10.09) was just below the mean for the scale (Possible range 20-80). Loneliness had significant negative correlations with family function (r= -.400, p<.001), self-esteem (r= -.399, p<.001), and life satisfaction (r= -.644, p<.001). Other general characteristics that had significant or nearly significant relationships with loneliness were perceived current financial and health status, whether doing any exercise or physical activities, degree of close relationship with family members, and length of living in current residence. Among variables, life satisfaction (Standardized β = -.589, p<.001) and length of living in current residence (Standardized β = -.136, p<.05) significantly predicted degree of loneliness. Conclusion: Findings of this study allow a comprehensive understanding of loneliness and related factors among community dwelling elders in Korea. However, further studies with a larger random sample from various living environments are necessary.
