This exploratory study examined relationships between career preparation behavior, career maturity attitudes, career decision-making self-efficacy and career stress among students of health care and social work. This study surveyed 433 university students. Hypotheses were tested with hierarchical regression analysis. The primary research questions developed for this study were: what is the relationship between career maturity attitudes, career decision-making self-efficacy and career stress among students of health care and social work? The results indicate that it is important to focus attention on exploring the effect of social cognitive factors such as career maturity, career decision-making self-efficacy on career stress. The results of our study suggest that academic institutions have an responsibility to maximize opportunities for creative career development of students. Finally, the authors discuss the use of social work self-efficacy in the context of social work perspectives

This study is to investigate the intention to leave among staff in long-term care agencies and to examine factors associated with turnover intention. Cross-sectional survey data were collected from 216 staff in long-term care facilities. Data were analyzed using regression. All the main categories are significant predictors of intention to leave. It finds that burnout, low organizational commitment are the strongest of intention to leave. Generally, our findings are consistent with other studies that demonstrate the connection between burnout, organizational commitment and intention to leave. Study findings hold implications for supervisory support, organizational management and future research. There might be a great deal that both managers and policy makers can do make efforts to prevent intention to leave grave.
코로나19 시기 사회복지사의 직무스트레스, 소진 및 이직의도 간의 관계

The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between job stress, burnout, and turnover intention among child welfare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data were collected by surveying 306 child welfare workers from multiple child welfare agencies in the Jeollanam-do area. Participants were purposively selected and completed an online survey containing demographic questions and measures of job stress, burnout, and turnover intention. Findings indicate a positive relationship between job stress and turnover intention, as well as a positive relationship between burnout and turnover intention. In addition, burnout significantly mediated the relationship between job stress and turnover intention. These results can serve as a foundation for developing strategies designed to reduce job stress, burnout, and turnover intention among child welfare workers. Implications for policy change and future research are discussed in turn.
결혼이민 여성의 사회복지서비스 이용에 영향을 미치는 요인

This study has systematically examined the use of social welfare services among immigrant women in Korea according to the Andersen model, which groups factors influence on the use of predisposing, enabling and need variables. Subjects are originated from Cambodia, China, Japan, Mongolia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Questionnaire interviews were conducted with female adults of foreign descent(N=208). Analyses include descriptive reports and multiple regression analysis. However, It is little known about the relationship between the type of social services and social service utilization. Income among predisposing factors had an effect on the use of public assistance services, counseling services, and comprehensive social services. Region variables was significantly associated with the use of counseling services. Enabling factor including awareness of services, couple relationship, and social network, was relevant to the use of counseling and comprehensive social services. Need for service as evidenced by depression and unhappiness variables was important predictor of use of counseling services. This article yields important practice implications. Several program strategies were suggested for the increasing use of social welfare services particularly among female immigrants.
개인, 가족, 환경요인이 청소년의 자아존중감에 영향을 미치는 요인

본 연구에서는 청소년의 자아존중감에 영향을 미치는 개인, 가족, 환경요인을 살펴보았다. 개인요인으로 건강상태, 여가・체험 활동을 살펴보고, 가족요인으로 경제적 수준, 부모의 양육방식을 고려하였다. 그리고 환경요인은 학교환경에 초점을 두고 성적, 또래관계, 교사관계를 검토하였다. 이와 관련하여 제시한 연구문제는 첫째, 청소년의 자아존중감에 영향을 미치는 개인요인은 무엇인가? 둘째, 청소년의 자아존중감에 영향을 미치는 가족요인은 무엇인가? 셋째, 청소년의 자아존중감에 영향을 미치는 환경요인은 무엇인가? 넷째, 청소년의 자아존중감에 가장 많은 영향을 미치는 요인은 무엇인가? 이다. 연구문제 검토를 위해 한국아동・청소년패널조사(KYPS)의 중학교 1학년(3차년) 자료를 사용하였으며, 선정된 자료는 SPSS 18.0의 다중회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 청소년의 자아존중감에 가장 많은 영향을 미치는 요인은 가족요인인 부모의 양육방식이었으며, 다음으로 환경요인인 또래애착, 개인요인인 건강상태, 환경요인인 성적 순으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 부모의 양육방식이 긍정적이고, 또래애착이 높으며, 건강하다고 인식할수록, 성적이 높을수록 자아존중감이 높음을 알 수 있다. 결론에서는 연구결과를 기반으로 청소년의 자아존중감을 높일 수 있는 실천적 함의를 제시하였다. The study examined the effects of individual, family, and environmental factors on adolescents’ self-esteem. Individual factors were the adolescents’ health status and their leisure activity experiences, while the family factors were families’ socio-economic status(SES) and parenting styles. Three environmental factors focusing on the adolescents’ school environment were studied, and they consisted of academic attachment, peer attachment, and teacher attachment. The study inquiries were as follows: which individual factors had an effect on the adolescents’ self-esteem? Which family factors had an effect on the adolescents’ self-esteem? Which environmental factors had an effect on the adolescents’ self-esteem? Of all the factors considered in this study, which factors had the greatest effect on adolescents’ self-esteem? This study used data from the 3rd Korean Child and Youth Panel survey of Korean students in the first grade of middle school, and the data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis using SPSS 18.0. The results were as follows: the most important factor that have an effect on adolescents’ self-esteem was parenting style, while peer attachment, health status, and academic attachment were also found to significantly affect adolescents’ self-esteem. In the conclusion, the researchers suggest various strategies based on results of the analysis to improve adolescents’ self-esteem.

본 연구의 목적은 사회복지사의 문화적 역량 실태와 문화적 역량에 영향을 미치는 요인을 밝히는 데 있다. 이를 위해 다문화지원센터와 전남ㆍ북 지역의 일반복지기관에 종사하는 사회복지사를 대상으로 우편조사를 실시하였고, 최종 228개의 설문지가 분석되었다. 분석 결과, 문화적 역량과 하위 영역인 문화적 인식, 지식, 기술 모두는 평균 이상의 점수를 보였으며, 이 중 문화적 인식의 평균점수가 가장 높은 반면 문화적 기술의 평균은 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 이어 사회복지사의 문화적 역량에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴본 결과, 개인요인으로는 전체 문화적 역량에서 옹호가 문화적 인식에서는 다양성 수용이, 문화적 지식에서는 임파워먼트와 다문화 교육 참여, 문화적 기술에서는 공감과 옹호가 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 기관요인에서는 다문화 슈퍼비전만이 영향 요인으로 밝혀졌으며, 기관의 다문화 슈퍼비전준비정도는 전체 문화적 역량과 문화적 기술에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로, 사회복지사의 문화적 역량을 강화하기 위한 논의와 실천적 제언을 제시하였다. The purpose of this study is to analyze the reality and affecting factors of social worker’s cultural competence. The result showed that cultural competence and the three domains of cultural competence were above average. Especially the mean value of cultural awareness is highest, but the mean value of cultural skills is lowest. In terms of the affecting factors, advocacy, acceptance of diversity, and multi-culture supervision influence cultural competence. In the three domains of cultural competence, cultural awareness is influenced by acceptance of diversity, cultural knowledge is influenced by empowerment and education of multiculture, and cultural skill is influenced by empathy, advocacy, and multiculture supervision. Based on these findings, several suggestions are made to improve social worker’s cultural competence.
중국 연변지역 조선족 청소년의 주관적 빈곤감과 사회적 위축의 관계 - 자아탄력성과 양육태도의 조절효과 -

This paper aims to investigate Chinese-Korean adolescents' subjective sense of poverty and social withdrawal, based on the moderating effect of ego-resilience and parenting attitude. Totally 803 valid questionnaires were collected in five areas in Yanbian and regression analysis was employed to analyze those data. The result shows that subjective sense of poverty has positive effect on social withdrawal. Ego-resilience and parenting attitude have significant moderating effect on subjective sense of poverty and social withdrawal. In the conclusion, the researchers suggest some theoretical and practical implications based on results of the study
중국 대학생의 자원봉사의식과 진로정체감의 관계 - 자아존중감과 전공만족도의 매개효과 중심으로 -

To identify the relationship between consciousness of volunteering and career identity of university students and to verify the mediating effect of self-esteem and major satisfaction, this study conducted a survey of college students of Y University in China. Totally of 235 valid questionnaires were analyzed. The result shows that, firstly, consciousness of volunteering have a positive influence on college students' career identity. Secondly, self-esteem and major satisfaction have statistically significant effects on college students' career identity. Thirdly, consciousness of volunteering statistically explain self-esteem and major satisfaction. Fourthly, self-esteem has a significant mediating effect on consciousness of volunteering and career identity, but major satisfaction has no mediating effect on consciousness of volunteering and career identity. Finally this paper discussed the establishment of volunteer activity support system and operation of related programs, in order to promote college students' employment and enhance the career identity.
