        In-Situ 공정(工程)을 이용한 재활용(再活用) 펄프의 물성특성(物性特性) 향상 연구(硏究)

        종이에 대한 수요가 꾸준히 증가함에 따라 백상지 고지(White ledger)나 신문지 고지(Old newspaper pulp)등의 재활용지에 대한 중요성이 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 또한 재활용지의 사용은 산림자원의 보호와 지구온난화 등의 환경문제 차원에서 더욱 부각되고 있다. 하지만 재활용지의 경우 종이에 필수적인 광학적 성질이 저하하고 기계적 성질이 감소하는 등 일반 종이에 비해 단점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 재활용지의 문제점을 보완하기 위해 입자 크기에 따라 $0.1{\mu}m{\sim}0.9{\mu}m$의 교질형 초미립자와 $0.1{\mu}m{\sim}0.9{\mu}m$의 입방형 미립자로 나눠지는 침강성 탄산칼슘을 In-situ 공정으로 재생펄프 표면에 합성하였다. 서로 다른 결정 형태와 크기가 다른 침강성탄산칼슘이 재활용지의 광학적 기계적 물성에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 연구하였다. 또한 화학펄프와의 혼합을 통해 침강성 탄산칼슘이 코팅된 재생펄프의 기계적 물성을 감소시키는 점을 보완하여 다른 첨가물에 전혀 의존하지 않고도 우수 재활용 인증마크인 GR규격을 만족하는지 알아보았다. As the demand for paper continues to grow and the importance of recycled paper, white ledgar(WL) and old newspaper pulp(ONP), continuously increase. In addition, usage of recycled paper is essential in terms of forest conservation and environmental protection issues. However, optical and mechanical properties of recycled paper have some drawbacks than regular paper's properties that is indispensable. In order to complement these problems of recycled paper, precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) was synthesized by the In-situ process with a recycled pulp. Depending on the size of PCC is divided into 2 types, $0.01{\mu}m{\sim}0.09{\mu}m$ colloid type ultra-fine particle and $0.1{\mu}m{\sim}0.9{\mu}m$ cubic type particles. In this study, we analyze how the different shape and size of precipitated calcium carbonate affects in the optical and mechanical properties of the recycled paper used as a filler. Furthermore, we mixed with chemical pulp for overcome reduce of mechanical properties, without using other chemicals, when we use PCC as a filler. The results has the possibility to meet in GR excellent recycling certification mark, standard was proposed.

        MgCO<sub>3</sub>와 사문석을 사용한 마그네시아 시멘트의 특성평가

        MgO based cement for the low-temperature calcination of magnesite required less energy and emitted less $CO_2$ than the manufacturing of Portland cements. Furthermore, adding reactive MgO to Portland-pozzolan cement can improve their performance and also increase their capacity to absorb atmospheric $CO_2$. In this study, the basic research for magnesia cement using $MgCO_3$ and magnesium silicate ore (serpentine) as starting materials was carried out. In order to increase the hydration activity, $MgCO_3$ and serpentinite were fired at a temperature higher than $600^{\circ}C$. In the case of $MgCO_3$ as starting material, hydration activity was highest at $700^{\circ}C$ firing temperature; this $MgCO_3$ was completely transformed to MgO after firing. After the hydration reaction with water, MgO was totally transformed to $Mg(OH)_2$ as hydration product. In the case of using only $MgCO_3$, compressive strength was 35 $kgf/cm^2$ after 28 days. The addition of silica fume and $Mg(OH)_2$ led to an enhancements of the compressive strength to 55 $kgf/cm^2$ and 50 $kgf/cm^2$, respectively. Serpentine led to an up to 20% increase in the compressive strength; however, addition of this material beyond 20% led to a decrease of the compressive strength. When we added $MgCl_2$, the compressive strength tends to increase.

        잉어(Cyprinus carpio)로부터 분리된 Aeromonas hydrophila의 extracelluar proteases 연구

        Aeromonas hydrophila isolated from the intestine of carp produced several kinds of proteases into the medium. Inhibitor assay with the culture supernatant of A. hydrophila showed that there were major metalloproteases and minor serine proteases. Gelatin SDS-PAGE showed two proteolytic bands. One broad protease band was inhibited by metalloprotease specific inhibitor, EDTA, indicating a metalloprotease. The other was inhibited by serine protease specific inhibitor, PMSF, suggesting a serine protease. The proteolytic activities of both extracellular proteases remained on Gelatin SDS-PAGE after heating at $70^{\circ}C$ for 30 min. However, the major metalloprotease was separated into two proteolytic bands on Gelatin PAGE by gel filtration chromatography on Sephadex G-75. 잉어로부터 분리한 Aeromonas hydrophila는 세포 밖으로 여러 종류의 proteases를 생산한다. A. hydrophila의 배양 상층액을 이용한 inhibitor assay를 통하여, 주된 활성을 나타내는 metallopretease와 약한 활성을 나타내는 serine protease가 있음을 알게 되었다. Gelatin SDS-PAGE를 통하여 두 개의 활성 band가 관찰되었으며, 이 들 중 넓게 퍼진 band는 metalloprotease에 특이하게 작용하는 inhibitor인 EDTA에 의해 활성이 상실되었고 따라서 metalloprotease임을 알 수 있었다. 다른 하나는 serine protease에 특이하게 반응하는 inhibitor인 PMSF에 의해 저해되어 serine protease임을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 두 extracellular protease의 활성은 $75^{\circ}C$에서 30 분간 열을 가한 후에도 Gelatin SDS-PAGE상에 남아있었다. 그런데, 주된 metalloprotease는 Sephadex G-75를 이용한 column chromatography를 거친 후 Gelatin Gel상에서 두 개의 band로 분리되었다.

        석고계 바인더를 활용한 습도도절 세라믹 보드의 특성 평가

        Active clay, bentonite and zeolite were used as porous materials for humidity controlling ceramic boards. The specific area and the pore volume of active clay were higher than bentonite and zeolite. The flexible strength of the gypsum board decreased with an increasing amount of porous material, and the flexible strength was lowest when active clay with a higher specific surface area than others porous materials was added. The specific surface area and total pore volume of ceramic boards containing porous material were highest at $102.25m^2/g$, $0.142cm^3/g$, respectively, when the active clay was added. In addition, as the amount of added porous materials increased, the specific surface area and total pore volume of the ceramic board increased, but the average pore diameter decreased. The addition of s porous materials with a high specific area and a large pore volume improved the moisture absorptive and desorptive performance of the ceramic board. Therefore, in this experiment, the moisture absorptive and desorptive properties were the best when active clay was added. Furthermore, as the amount of added porous materials increased, the moisture absorptive and desorptive properties improved. When 70 mass% of active clay was added to ${\alpha}$-type gypsum, the hygroscopicity was the highest, about $300g/m^2$, in this experiment.

        무기질 충진재와 폴리우레탄을 활용한 유·무기 복합 단열소재의 특성 평가

        Recently, inorganic-organic hybrid materials have attracted much attention not only for their excellent thermal conductivity but also for their flame retardant properties. In this study, the properties of organic-inorganic hybrid insulating materials using inorganic fillers and polyurethane foam with different foaming conditions have been investigated. The addition of 1.5 wt% water to polyurethane as foaming agent shows the best foaming properties. The pore size was decreased in the foaming body with increasing of the $CaCO_3$ addition. The apparent density and thermal conductivity were increased by increasing the $CaCO_3$ addition. With an increasing amount of $CaCO_3$ powder, the flame retardant property is improved, but the properties of thermal conductivity and apparent density tend to decrease. When the addition of fine particles of $CaCO_3$, the apparent density and thermal conductivity were increased and, also, with the addition of coarse particles over $45{\mu}m$ in size, the apparent density and thermal conductivity were increased as well. In this study, the adding of $CaCO_3$ with average particle size of $27{\mu}m$ led to the lowest thermal conductivity and apparent density. After evaluation with different inorganic fillers, $Mg(OH)_2$ showed the highest thermal conductivity; on the other hand, $CaCO_3$ showed the lowest thermal conductivity.

        저온 소결 유전체에 관한 연구

        본 실험에서는 낮은 음의 온도계수를 갖는 저온 소결 유전체에 대해 연구하였다. 새로 개발된 재료의 조성은 Ti$O_2$(100-X) CuOx(X=1~5wt%)에 미량의 Mn$O_2$를 첨가 하였다. CuO를 첨가하지 않은 경우에는 저온 (90$0^{\circ}C$) 에서 소결이 진행되지 않았다. CuO 함량이 증가할수록 저온에서 소결이 가능하였으나, 유전율이 낮아지고 유전손실은 증가 하였다. Mn$O_2$를 0.6wt% 첨가한 경우 유전율과 Q값이 가장 높게 나타났다. Low-firing dielectric materials with negative small temperature coefficients were investigated. The newly developed materials are based on Ti$O_2$(100-x)/ CuOx(X=1~5wt%) with small amount of Mn$O_2$ additive. The sample without CuO was not sintered at 90$0^{\circ}C$. As CuO content was increased the sample could be sintered at low temperature. However, the dielectric constant was decreased and the dielectric loss was increased. In the case of adding 3wt% CuO and 0.6wt% Mn$O_2$, the dielectric constant and the Q values appeared very high.

        C<sub>3</sub>A-CaSO<sub>4</sub>·2H<sub>2</sub>O 계의 수화반응에 미치는 석회석 미분말의 영향

        In this work, effects of limestone powder on hydration of $C_3A-CaSO_4{\cdot}2H_2O$ system was discussed based on the XRD Quantitative analysis, and the possibility of Delayed Ettringite Formation was also discussed. The early hydration of $C_3A$ was delayed by addition of $CaCO_3$ powder. The delay effect was enhanced by increasing of $CaCO_3$ content and finer powder of $CaCO_3$ addition. After consumption of $CaSO_4{\cdot}2H_2O$, the reaction of $CaCO_3$ is started. Delayed Ettringite Formation would take place because monosulfoaluminate is not stable in presence of $CaCO_3$. In order to prevent the delayed ettringite formation in $C_3A-CaSO_4{\cdot}2H_2O-CaCO_3$ system, the reduction of monosulfoaluminate formation is important. Therefore, by increasing the amount of $CaCO_3$ addition and finer $CaCO_3$ powder addition, the delayed ettringite formation can be prevented.

        클링커 제조 조건에 따른 수용성 6가 크롬 용출 특성

        One of the trace constituents included in cement clinker, chromium, has become prominent and highly noticed lately as a social issue both inside and outside of this country because it affects the human body negatively. The purpose of the present study was to investigate leaching properties of water-soluble hexavalent chromium by different manufacturing conditions of cement clinker. Raw materials were prepared to add different $SiO_2$, $Al_2O_3$ and $Fe_2O_3$ sources. After the raw materials, such as limestone, sand and clay, iron ore was pulverized and mixed, and the raw meal was burnt at $1450^{\circ}C$ in a furnace with an oxidizing atmosphere. Leaching of soluble hexavalent chromium showed a tendency to decrease with an increasing LSF and IM. However, leaching of soluble hexavalent chromium increased with an increasing S.M. Alkali contents of iron source minerals is closely related to the leaching properties of soluble hexavalent chromium. Green sludge has the highest content of alkali added; leaching of water-soluble hexavalent chromium was mostly high. In order to reduce the water-soluble hexavalent chromium in cement, reducing the alkali content in raw materials is important.
