In order to make students more interesting in statistics class, a small visual basic program is introduced. This program, which can be executed through the Excel Macro, can immediately collect many individual questionnaire files that were filled up by participatory students and consolidate into one Excel worksheet.
集團(Cohort)의 크기가 相對所得에 미치는 影響-「베이비 붐」世代를 中心으로-

In the late 1960s and throughout 1970s, the earnings of young workers have declined relative to older, more experienced workers in the U.S.A. The reason for this is, among other things, the entry of the post World War II baby boom generation into the labor market. Using the 1968-1982 Current Population Survey of tee U.S.A., this study evaluates the long-term effects of cohort size on earnings. Results show that, as workers gain more experience, the negative cohort size effects on earnings grow smaller for those who have high school or less schooling, but grow larger for workers with college education. Two explanations for the results are suggested: Firstly, the rate of demand increase for college educated workes did not keep up with the rate of increased supply by the baby boom generation during the 1970s. Secondly, college educated workers typically have longer stages of career path than less educated workers have. Therefore, when supply of workers increased suddenly, college educated workers have higher competition among them than less educated workers.

This study shows how an international computer network can be utilized to have real-time class discussions internationally among students. Two models are experimented : an international business negotiation simulation, and an international economic conference simulation. In the international business negotiation simulation, two teams, one grouped by business-major students at the Inha University and some local businessmen in Korea and the other team grouped by students in the University of Maryland, USA and a group of American businessmen, negotiate on how to set up a Korea-US joint venture company in Korea. In the international economic conference simulation, Korean, Japanes, and American students discuss current international economic issues via a real-time computer network. The results of this study show that firstly, there is no technical problem to have a real-time international class via computer network, and secondly, because of this technical success, real-time common classes among universities can be devised internationally. This new method of inrernational exchange of educarion may open a new horizon for international cultural exchanges among universities.

This paper analyses problems of the 'rule of origin' in the textile and clothing parts of the Korea-US free trade agreement. It is found that the 'yarn-forward' method for determining the origin will be problematic to many Korean small exporting firms. This paper suggests that an extended training program should be prepared for Korean firms to avoid unnecessary conflicts by the rule, and to make use of the benefits that the agreement can bring about.
