중학교와 고등학교 재학 당시 학교적응, 진로성숙도, 학업성취가 고등학생의 주관적 행복감에 미치는 영향

본 연구에서는 종단자료를 사용하여 중학교 재학 당시 진로성숙도, 학교적응, 학업성취가 고등학교시기 주관적 행복감과 관련이 있는지 살펴보고, 이 관계가 고등학교 시기 진로성숙도, 학교적응, 학업성취에 의해 매개되는지를 구조방정식을 통해 검증하고자 하였다. 이 연구에서는 한국복지패널조사 자료 중 4차년도(중학교 1, 2, 3학년)와 7차년도 아동부가조사(고등학교 1, 2, 3학년) 자료를 사용하였고, 7차년도 최종응답 확인자 512명 중 결측값을 제외한 490명(남 247명, 여 243명)의 자료를 분석에 사용하였다. 분석 결과, 중학교 재학 당시 학교적응과 고등학교 주관적 행복감의 관계가 고등학교 학교적응에 의해 완전매개되었고, 중학교 시기 학업성취와 고등학교 시기의 주관적 행복감과의 관계가 고등학교 학교적응에 의해 완전매개되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 고등학생들의 행복 증진을 위해 학생들의 학교적응을 잘할 수 있도록 돕는 것이 중요함을 시사한다. 이 연구가 갖는 함의와 제한점 역시 논의되었다. The present study is intended to exam how career maturity, school adjustment, and academic achievement during junior high school are related to subjective happiness later in high school, using longitudinal data. It also shows how career maturity, school adjustment, and academic achievement in high school mediate those relationships. The Child Welfare data in 2009 (wave 4) and 2012 (wave 7), which is part of the Korean Welfare Panel Study data, were used for analysis. The final sample included 490 adolescents (247 males, 243 females). Structural equation modeling analysis revealed that school adjustment during high school fully mediated between school adjustment in junior high school and subjective happiness in high school. Analysis also indicated that the relationship between academic achievement in junior high school and subjective happiness in high school was fully mediated by school adjustment during high school. These findings highlight the importance of assisting adolescents with school adjustments in order to enhance their subjective senses of happiness. Implications and limitations of this study were also addressed.
