        체계기능언어학적 텍스트 분석을 위한 동성 체계 기초 연구: 과정 유형을 중심으로

        The purpose of this paper is to acquire reliability and adequacy of systemic functional linguistics(SFL), by deriving the process types of transitivity system for text analysis in SFL from academic research. Macroscopically, we researched that linguist M.A.K. Halliday’s material, mental, and relational process are different category from other processes, which are behavioral, verbal, and existential process. With the reference, we set up 8 process types, which are working, behaving, saying, cognitive, sensitive, emotional, attributive, and identified process. Microscopically, we discovered indeterminacy problem and studied consistency score in analysing process type of real clauses. Originally, SFL seeks for meaning-centered approach; thus, the same expression can have other process type in various contexts. Through experts’ rating, we searched problem of analysing process types of low consistency score and rated criteria accordingly. Additionally, we added existing process on top of 8 processes. To sum up, we set up 9 process types, which are working, behaving, saying, cognitive, sensitive, emotional, attributive, identified, and existing process. 본 연구는 체계기능언어학적 텍스트 분석을 위한 동성 체계에 대해서 그 핵심인 과정 유형을 도출함으로써, 궁극적으로 분석틀로서의 체계기능언어학의 신뢰성과 타당성을 확보하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 거시적으로는, 먼저 할리데이가 제시한 과정의 6유형 중 물질적 과정, 정신적 과정, 관계적 과정은 다른 과정들, 즉 행위적, 발화적, 존재적 과정과 달리 상위 개념으로 존재함을 확인하였다. 이를 바탕으로 하여 한국어의 과정 유형을 작용적·행동적·발화적·인지적·감각적·감정적·속성적·식별적 과정의 8가지로 설정하였다. 다음 미시적으로는, 체계기능언어학이 본래적으로 가지는 불확정성의 문제에 주목하여 실제 절의 과정을 분석하는 데 있어 발생하는 일치도 문제를 살폈다. 체계기능언어학은 의미 중심의 접근을 지향하기 때문에 동일한 표현도 다양한 맥락에서 다른 과정 유형으로 판단될 수 있다. 전문가 평정을 통해 특히 일치도가 낮은 절들을 중심으로 하여 과정 분석의 문제점을 살피고 나름의 기준을 제시하였다. 이 과정에서 존재적 과정을 추가로 설정하여, 총 9개 과정 유형을 최종적으로 제안하였다.

        Zoning management by quantitative landscape assessment for forest pathway – the case of forest paths of the Mt. Jiri national park, South Korea

        The recent popularity and spread of a walking culture in Jeju, South Korea, requires good management of roaddevelopment projects, which are competitively promoted by each government and local autonomous entity. Forestpathways are a part of the forest landscape, which covers approximately 64% of South Korea, and they have a very highpotential landscape value. Landscape management of these forest pathways is important because good management canmean an increase in visual scenic beauty, an improvement in local residents’ consciousness of forest pathways and theforest landscape, an improvement in the sense of place, and a revitalization of the local economy. This study aims toprovide data to support spatial decision-making by developing a quantitative assessment index for forest pathways as wellas respective landscape management guidelines to use after assessments are conducted. Landscape management gradingwas divided into four classes by using the landscape conservation intensity, landscape management requirements, andlandscape sensitivity, which were used as indicators for evaluating the forest landscape. The Mt Jiri Dulle Roads in Mt JiriNational Park (which are a governmental pilot project) were evaluated by applying the quantitative assessment method. This research should be helpful in providing the basic data for supporting landscape management decision-making,assessing further landscape assessments of forest pathways and establishing a plan for landscape management.

        Zoning classes for forest visual landscape management in and around Pyeongchang Winter Olympic area: focused on Alpensia district in the city of Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do

        Korea is preparing to host the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. The region surrounding Pyeongchang mostly consists of forested areas. To manage this region, it is necessary to design a process designating different management areas such as those allowing the formation of artificial and concentrated landscapes and restricted areas for conservation of the landscape. This study identifies methods for analyzing the degree of forest landscape management and level of visual sensitivity and subdivides the visible areas surrounding the region where the Winter Olympics will be held into different classes. As a result, four different classes were subdivided and the areas were divided into conservation zones, buffer zone 1, buffer zone 2, and transitional zones. The areas in the fourth class (transitional zone), where artificial and aggressive forest landscape management is possible, were primarily subjected to frequent movement and high levels of use. These areas included roads, city streets, areas surrounding the stadiums, accommodation facilities, and the observatory. It will be necessary at a later date to conduct an itemized and more detailed analysis regarding forest landscape design to create landscapes that correspond to the characteristics of the region in each subdivision.

        체계기능언어학의 특성과 텍스트 평가

        The purpose of this paper is to discover the nature of Systemic Functional Linguistics(SFL) and how it applies to text evaluation. The main goals of SFL are to understand and evaluate the text. SFL focuses on the usage of language in the context to analyze the text. In other words, SFL empathizes on the structure of the text. Structured language material refers to three meta-functions: conceptual, interpersonal, and textual. They are practiced through essential text-analytic methods such as transitivity, mood, and theme. ‘System’ from the meaning of SFL is based on paradigmatic relation; thus, deciding which vocabulary and grammatical expressions are more important. This thesis explores two different newspaper editorials’ grammatical expressions based on mood, transitivity, and theme. Progressive newspaper uses command form or often insists subjective thoughts authoritatively by using mental clause. In addition, they foreground against opposite opinions by using marked theme to accelerate insistence. Conservative newspaper uses emotionally attached strategy to express concerns and worries through conversation based writing. Also, they draw negative evaluations to particular objects by frequently using relational clause.

        외솔 문법과 학교 문법

        The purpose of this report is to show the characters of Choi Hyun- bae’s school grammar and relationship between Choi’s grammar and national school grammar. Choi has the view that language makes thought. We can know that through his famous book, Urimalbon and his eight school grammar books. The contents of Urimalbon were mostly handed down to his major school grammar books, Chungdeungchoseonmalbon(1934), Chosun malbon(1948), Godeungmalbon(1956), Saerounmalbon(1968) etc. But some contents of school grammars are different from Urimalbon. For example, Choi’s indigenous terms were changed into Chinese character in Saerounmalbon(1968). Choi’ theory grammar and school grammar are mostly similar, but partly different. Choi’s school grammar has had effects on national school grammar. For example, national school grammar’s double sentence system, simple vowel system, sentence constituents, and etc. have same to Choi’s school grammar. In order to know the identity of school grammar, it is needed for us to survey Choi’s grammar. 이 논문은 외솔 최 현배의 문법에 대하여 학교 문법 차원에서 그 특성과 관련성을 살피는 것을 목적으로 한다. 외솔은 언어가 사고를 형성한다는 민족주의적 언어 형성관을 지니고 있었다. 이는 그의 대표 저서인 『우리말본』과 그의 여덟 권에 달하는 문법 교과서에서 보여준 그의 국어 인식에서 알 수 있다. 『우리말본』의 내용은 그의 문법 교과서들인 『중등 조선 말본』(1934), 『조선 말본』(1948), 『고등 말본』(1956), 『새로운 말본』(1968) 등에 거의 그대로 반영되고 있다. 외솔이 일관되게 주장해 온 ‘이름씨’, ‘움직씨’ 등 고유어 명칭을 『새로운 말본』에서 ‘명사(이름씨)’, ‘동사(움직씨)’로 바꾸어서 제시한 것은 개인적 이론과 공동적 합의를 반영한 것이다. 이처럼 『우리말본』과 그의 문법 교과서들은 대부분 내용상 동일성을 유지하면서 몇몇 군데에서는 차이점이 있기도 하다. 외솔의 학교 문법은 국정 문법서에 많은 영향을 끼쳤다. 겹문장 체계에서 이어진 문장으로 대등과 종속의 두 문장 유형으로 나눈 것, 단모음 체계를 1985년 문법 교과서에서 9개 설정한 것, 일곱 개의 문장 성분을 설정한 것 등 무수히 많다. 학교 문법의 정체를 정확히 알기 위해서라도 외솔의 문법을 자세히 연구할 필요가 있다.
