        호흡 기능 향상을 위한 들숨근 강화 훈련 방법 : 위팔운동을 동반한 가로막 호흡과 파워브리드 호흡의 효과 비교

        Purpose : It was to compare changes in respiratory function (pulmonary function, inspiratory function) after four weeks of inspiratory muscle strengthening training (diaphragmatic breathing with upper arm exercise, Power-Breathe breathing) for 36 healthy people. Methods : Subjects were randomly assigned to diaphragmatic breathing with upper arm exercise (Group Ⅰ) and Power-breathe breathing (Group Ⅱ) was conducted by the protocol for four weeks five times per week. As the main measurement method for comparison between groups For pulmonary function, Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) and Forced Expiratory Volume at One second (FEV1) were used, and for inspiratory function, Maximum Inspiratory Capacity (MIC), Maximum Inspiratory Pressure (MIP), and Maximum Inspiratory Flow Rate (MIFR) were used. Results : In changes in pulmonary function between groups, FVC and FEV1 showed no significant difference, and in inspiratory function changes, MIC showed no significant difference, but in MIP and MIFR, Group B significantly improved over Group A. Conclusion : The progressive resistance training using the Power-breath device applied to the inspiratory muscle did not show a significant difference in the increase in the amount of air in the lungs and chest cage compared to the diaphragmatic breathing training accompanied by the upper arm exercise. However, by increasing the air inflow rate and pressure, it showed a more excellent effect on improving respiratory function.

        목 근육에 대한 근에너지기법 적용이 전방머리자세에 미치는 영향

        Purpose : The purpose of this study is to compare muscle activity after applying two muscle energy techniques (MET) to subjects with forward head posture to see if the post isometric relaxation (PIR) technique is more effective than the reciprocal inhibition (RI) technique. Methods : The muscle activity was measured using EMG after applying the PIR and RI techniques to 30 adults at K College. Subjects were selected for forward head posture whose ear center was 2.5 ㎝ front of the center of the shoulder. EMG equipment was used to measure muscle activity, and the measurement sites were measured in cervical flexor and extensor muscles. The experiment period was performed once a week for a total of two weeks, and after the pre-measurement was performed for 5 minutes PIR and RI exercise. In the PIR technique, the head is tilted back in a sitting position, and the experimenter applies resistance with the same force for 7~10 seconds and repeats 3-5 times after rest. In the RI technique, in a sitting position, the subject gives the force to bend the head forward, and the experimenter applies resistance with the same force for 7 to 10 seconds, and repeats 3 to 5 times after rest. Results : The result is same as the following. In the comparison of muscle activity, there was a significant decrease in both PIR and RI at 1 and 2 weeks. And there was a greater decrease in muscle activity in PIR. There was no difference in the comparison of decrease in muscle activity at 1 week and 2 week. Conclusion : Both PRI and RI can be said to be effective in improving the function of the forward head posture in the neck muscles. Therefore, the selection of the two techniques in clinical practice should be appropriately performed under the judgment of experts according to the patient’s situation.

        유산소운동을 동반한 들숨근 저항운동이 20대 성인의 흡연 여부에 따라 호흡 기능에 미치는 영향

        Purpose : This study applies inspiratory muscle resistance exercise with aerobic exercise to smokers and nonsmokers and then determines whether subjects’ breathing functions (FVC, FEV1) are increased and how much effect smoking has on the difference in the increase of breathing functions between the two groups. Methods : For this experiment, 26 male adults were selected and randomly allocated to the smoker group (n=13) and nonsmoker group (n=13). The smokers and nonsmokers performed the inspiratory muscle resistance exercise with aerobic exercise three times a week for four weeks. Regarding the breathing functions, the forced vital capacity (FVC) and forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV<sub>1</sub>) were measured three times: week 0, week 2, and week 4. The aerobic exercise was performed using a stationary bicycle with 8 difficulty levels. The inspiratory muscle resistance exercise was performed using Power Breathe with 10 resistance levels. Results : The study found that the FVC and FEV1 values of the smoker group decreased slightly after four weeks of inspiratory muscle resistance exercise with aerobic exercise. In other words, the difference was not statistically significant. In contrast, the FVC and FEV1 values of the nonsmoker group increased by a statistically significant amount. In addition, the intergroup comparison of the average increases in FVC and FEV1 values showed statistically significant differences. Conclusion : The results of this study show that when inspiratory muscle resistance exercise with aerobic exercise was performed, the increase in the breathing functions of nonsmokers was higher than that of smokers. This confirms that, within the parameters of the study, smoking had a negative effect on the increase of breathing functions. This suggests that quitting smoking must be considered as an essential factor when applying a breathing physiotherapy or a breathing function improvement program in clinical settings.

        지지면에 따른 호흡운동 기법이 배근육 두께에 미치는 영향

        PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of stable and unstable surfaces on abdominal muscle thickness and changes in trunk muscle thickness in accordance with breathing methods during bridging exercises. METHODS: Bridging exercise on a stable surface, bridging exercise on an unstable surface, bridging exercise using a drawing-in maneuver on a stable surface, bridging exercise using a drawing-in maneuver on an unstable surface, bridging exercise using bracing on a stable surface, bridging exercise using bracing on an unstable surface. In sequence, the muscles`` thickness was measured three times before and after each exercise, and the measured value was averaged. RESULTS: There were significant differences in internal oblique and transversus abdominis muscles`` thickness in the drawing-in maneuver in both stable and unstable surface (p<0.05). There were no significant differences in external oblique muscle``s thickness in the bridging exercise in both stable and unstable surface. The type of surface did not have a significant influence on the abdominal muscles`` thickness. CONCLUSION: As a result of the study, the drawing-in maneuver had a greater effect than bridging or bracing maneuver on muscle thickness. We suggest that drawing-in maneuver will be more effective in a person with a weak abdominal muscle.

        전방머리자세에서 목근육 근활성도에 대한 맥켄지 신장운동과 어깨 안정화운동의 효과 비교

        Purpose : The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of exercise on the neck muscles activities between scapular stability and McKenzie stretch exercise in the forward head posture subjects. Method : After measuring cervical alignment using the Global Posture System, 20 volunteers with forward head posture posture were selected and divided into two groups. The experimental group A(n=15) and Experimental group B(n=15) participated in respectively and McKenzie neck stretching exercise, three times per week for 4 weeks. The scapular stabilization exercise program was comprised middle and lower trapezius strength exercises and the stretching exercise program was comprised levator scapulae and upper trapezius stretching exercise. The activities of the muscles of the posterior neck was then measured using electromyography. Result : After the intervention, there was significant difference of a electromyography activity changes between the pre-test and post-test in the experimental group. Conclusion : This study showed that both scapular stabilization and McKenzie neck stretching exercises are more effective for reducing neck muscles activities.

        반려동물 유·무와 종류에 따른 20대 성인의 삶의 질과 정서에 미치는 영향

        Purpose : The purpose of this study is to investigate how the existence of companion animals and the type of companion animals affect the quality of life and emotional stability of adults in their 20s. Methods : The subjects of this study were adults in their twenties living in Busan who could understand the method of this study. The survey method was conducted with a questionnaire, consisting of 4 questions on general characteristics, 26 questions on quality of life, and 20 questions on emotional stability for a total of 50 questions. An independent t-test and one-way ANOVA were used to verify the difference in quality of life and emotional stability according to general characteristics. Results : As a result of analyzing the difference in the quality of life of the study subjects, the case of having a companion animal scored statistically significantly higher in the satisfaction of the physical domain, psychological domain, living environment domain, overall quality of life domain, and social domain. In addition, there was a statistically significant difference in the case of companion animals according to the type of companion animal. However, there was no statistical significance in the analysis of differences in emotional stability of study subjects according to the presence or absence of companion animals. Conclusion : This study was conducted with 400 adults in their twenties to determine the effects of the presence and absence and type of companion animals on the quality of life and emotional stability of adults in their twenties. As a result, the group with companion animals showed higher satisfaction scores than the group without companion animals in terms of quality of life. This suggests that raising companion animals for adults in their 20s has a positive effect on improving their quality of life. Therefore, it can be recommended for the physical, psychological, and social health of adults in their 20s.

        호흡방법에 따른 전방머리자세의 호흡기능 변화량 비교

        Purpose : The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of breathing exercise on the respiratory functions among the breathing methods in the forward head posture. Method : A total of thirty male and female adults in their 20s who showed forward head posture in the overall body posture measurement system participated in this study. Each subject were divided into three groups. The experimental group A(n=10), Experimental group B(n=10) and Experimental group C(n=10) participated in respectively diaphragm, abdominal expansion, and abdominal drawing-in method, three times per week for 4 weeks. Respiratory function was measured using a spirometer. Result : After 4 weeks, Forced vital capacity, Forced expiratory volume 1, and Forced expiratory volume 1/Forced vital capacity were significantly increased in a three group and abdominal expansion maneuver group was highest. But there was no significant difference among the breathing methods. Conclusion : All of breathing methods affects on function of respiration. In particular, abdominal expansion maneuver influenced in a respiratory function. We recommend a abdominal expansion maneuver to improve a respiratory function in a forward head posture.

        플라이오메트릭 운동이 BMI 23 이상 성인 남녀의 심폐기능에 미치는 영향

        Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate for the effect of rope-jumping and plyometric exercise on the cardiopulmonary function to overweight people. Method : This study was performed on overweight 18 males and 15 females subjects. They were divided in to 3 groups(11 subjects per 1 group) using random sampling and rope-jumping and plyometric exercise, respectively. In order to compare the difference of VO2max, AT, RER, HRmax before and after applying progressive rope-jumping and plyometric exercise. Cardiopulmonary function was examined using CS-200 ERGO-SPIRO. Results : 1. VO2max, AT, RER, HRmax function before and after exercise in non exercise group A and rope-jumping and plyometric exercise in group C significantly different(p<.05) 2. VO2max, AT, RER, HRmax function before and after exericse in non exercise group A and rope-jumping exercise in group B significantly different(p<.05) 3. VO2max, AT, RER, HRmax function before and after exericse in rope-jumping exercise in group B and rope-jumping and plyometric exercise group C non-significantly different(p<.05) Conclusion : Rope-jumping exercise and plyometric exercise is improve exercise in cardiopulmonary function that combined areobic exercise and plyometric exercise is more effective increasing cardiopulmonary function.
