Electric vehicle has weak point in driving range per charge compared with internal combustion engine vehicle. But it’s difficult to improve driving range while maintaining other performance. So an approach to optimize driving performance and driving range is proposed to overcome this problem. Simulation tool is developed to estimate performance and driving range of EV. Using this S/W tool and through test data analysis, a method to improve driving range is proposed and tests are performed to verify results.

Purpose: The MERS(Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) outbreaks in Korea highlighted dramatically the failings of traditional hospital environment for controlling or preventing infections among both patients and healthcare workers. MERS is transmitted by droplets that can be airborne over a limited area. The point should be emphasized that MERS in South Korea was predominantly a hospital-acquired (not a community-acquired) infection, because approximately 93% of MERS cases were resulted from exposure in hospital settings. This paper tries to suggest the design guidelines of negative pressured isolation ward for the sake of proper control of severe respiratory infectious diseases. Methods: Literature survey on the design guideline and regulations of airborne infection wards in Korea, Europe U.K. and CDC of U.S. have been carries out. 4 special infection wards in Hongkong, Germany, Japan and Korea have been surveyed in order to make the best use of the experiences related to facility design and operations. Results: Operating system influencing the facility design, space organizations of infectious ward including required space and zoning, and circulations of patients, staffs and materials are proposed. Implications: The results of this paper can be the basic data for the design of the airborne infection ward and relevant regulations. Afterwards in-depth study such as the development of space standards for the single bedroom, locker room and so on could be explored.

Purpose: The increase in patients requiring hemodialysis has resulted in an increase dialysis-associated infections risk. but there are no Renal Dialysis unit design standard meet specified safety and quality standards. Therefore, appropriate Establish standards and legal regulation is important for the provision of initial certification and maintenance of facility, equipment, and human resource quality. Methods: Literature survey on the design guideline and standards of Renal Dialysis unit design in Korea, U.S, Germany, Singapore, Hongkong, Dubai. Results: There are no established standards for facilities in dialysis units in Korea. To prevent infections in dialysis patients, necessary establish standards. Considering the domestic and overseas Health-care facilities standards, the major factors to be considered in the medical environment for Renal Dialysis Unit are as follows. First, planning to separate Clean areas(treatment area) from contaminated areas(medical waste storage area). Second, ensure sufficient space and minimum separation distance. Although there may be differences depending on the circumstances of individual institutions, renal dialysis unit consider the space to prevent droplet transmission. Third, secure infrastructure of infection prevention such as sufficient amount of hand hygiene sinks. Hand washing facilities for staff within the Unit should be readily available. Hand hygiene sinks should be located to prevent water from splashing into the treatment area. Fourth, Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system for Renal Dialysis Unit is all about providing a safer environment for patients and staff. Implications: The results of this paper can be the basic data for the design of the Renal Dialysis Units and relevant regulations.

Numerous traffic accidents and dangerous situations arise from careless driving where drivers may not recognize the traffic environment including traffic signals and traffic signs. Recently, various kinds of intelligent systems have been developed to promote driving safety and convenience. In this paper, an algorithm to recognize the traffic signals and traffic signs using an image sensor is proposed and the test results are shown with various road situations and environment. In this algorithm, candidate traffic signals can be chosen by checking the ratios of heights and widths of candidate boxes because the ratios for the traffic signals are standardized. The position of red, yellow, green, and direction sign of the traffic signal is also standardized, so final decision to recognize the traffic signals can be made easily and the colors of the traffic signals are identified based on brightness. Traffic sign can be also recognized using standardized color and shape information and the traffic sign can be identified using a fast and effective pattern recognition algorithm which is appropriate for real time application. The recognized information of traffic signal or traffic sign is informed to driver through display device and speaker.

In this research. a driving simulator using model-based code generation with Matlab/Simulink/RTW was developed for an induction motor vector control. On the Simulink window, the control system is designed in the form of block diagrams and program codes are produced automatically by the RTW(Real Time Workshop). then a DSP C compiler complies the program codes.

This paper presents a misfire monitoring method by using the weight factor. In this misfire monitoring method, the ECU performs misfire detection better than original method when there is misfire in "misfire no detection range". The weight factor is determined the time after a detection the real misfire. The probability of misfire detection for this algorithm is calculated and the results show the feasibility of the algorithm. The experimental results also show that the presented algorithm has better detection probability.

시청자의시야를콘텐츠로가득채워주어강한몰입감을제공하는다면영상제작을위해서는다수의카메라를이용한촬영이 요구된다. 이러한 촬영 시나리오에서는다수의 카메라에 의해 촬영되고 있는 화면들이 하나의 콘텐츠로써 어떻게 보여질지 혹은 실제 상영관에서 어떻게 보여질지 확인하는 모니터링 과정이 매우 중요하다. 기존의 특수 포맷 영상 촬영에 관한 연구들은 모두 스테레오스코픽 입체 영상이나 파노라마 영상 등 각자의 목적에 집중하여 이루어져 왔으며, 최근 확산되고 있는 세 개의 면을이용한 다면 상영관에 최적화된 콘텐츠 제작에 관한 연구는 부재하다. 본 논문에서는 세 대의 카메라를 제어할 수 있는 리그와 다면 영상 포맷에 특화된 모니터링 소프트웨어를 이용한 다면 콘텐츠 현장 촬영 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 리그는 카메라 간의 각도를 정밀하게 조절하여 세 대의 카메라로 넓은 화각을 촬영할 수 있으며, 원격 통신을 통해 모니터링 소프트웨어와 연동된다. 모니터링 소프트웨어는 실시간으로 들어오는 영상들을자동으로 정렬해주며, 수신 받은 리그의 각도에 따라 영상의 정렬이자동으로 업데이트된다. 또한 촬영 시에 얻어진 정렬 정보를 후반작업에 사용할 수 있게 함으로써, 제작 효율을 크게 향상시킨다. Filming using multiple cameras is required for the production of the multi-screen content. It can fill the viewer’s field of view (FOV) entirely to provide an increased sense of immersion. In such a filming scenario, it is very important to monitor how images captured by multiple cameras are displayed as a single content or how the content will be displayed in an actual theatre. Most recent studies on creating the content of special format have been focused on their own purposes, such as stereoscopic and panoramic images. There is no research on content creation optimized for theatres that use three screens that are spreading recently. In this paper, we propose a novel content production system with a rig that can control three cameras and monitoring software specialized for multi-screen content. The proposed rig can precisely control the angles between the cameras and capture wide angle of view with three cameras. It works with monitoring software via remote communication. The monitoring software automatically aligned the content in real time, and the alignment of the content is updated according to the angle of camera rig. Futher, the producion efficiency is greatly improved by making the alignment information available for post-production.
