This research sees thinking style and school adapt between the technical high school students and academic high school students. Where in Jeollabukdo J technical high school 1, 2 grade survey of 129 people and J academic high school 173 people participating in the research. Measurement tools used in the research are Yun's(1997) thinking style test tools and Kim's(2000) school adaptation test tools. We verified independent sample t by the SPSS 12.0 program. It is results of this study. First, 10 different types that is, in legislative, executive, judical, monarchic oligarchic, global, local, internal, external, liberal thinking style are regardly higher. Academic high school students scored than technical high school students. The hierarchic, anarchic, conservative thinking styles wasn't significant difference between the two groups. Second, academic high school students adapt to school environment, school teachers, school adjustment, and the school life. The two groups did not show significant differences. Only academic high school students are better to adapt the school than technical high school students with friends. Based on the above conclusions of the study, in the future recognize the differences between academic high school students and technical high school students's thinking style, when we develop materials that to solve their academic achievement and school adaption problem, we need the program that consider student's thinking style by the zone
