증강현실의 특성을 반영한 공간별 모바일 게임 UI 분석

증강현실에 대한 수요가 확대되는 가운데, 모바일 게임은 증강현실을 적용하기에 이상적인 매체로 주목받고 있다. 모바일 증강현실 게임은 현실 공간을 기반으로 사용자와 가상 개체 간 상호작용이 핵심이며, 이러한 상호작용은 UI를 통해 이루어짐에도 불구하고 증강현실에 특화된 UI 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 게임 공간별로 UI를 분석하여 증강 공간에 따른 UI 활용 방안을 도출하고, 모바일 증강현실의 특성을 고려한 효율적인 UI 설계 방향을 제시한다. As demand for AR(Augmented Reality) grows, mobile games are attracting attention as an ideal media to apply AR. Although the core of mobile AR games is the interaction between users and virtual objects based on real space through UI, there is a lack of UI research specific to AR. Accordingly, in this paper, we perform UI analysis across various games based on space to derive UI utilization according to the AR space, and propose an efficient UI design direction considering the unique characteristics of mobile AR.

Two tree frogs, Dryophytes suweonensis and Dryophytes japonicus, inhabiting Korea, are morphologically similar and share the same habitats. Therefore, they are identified mainly through their calls, especially for males. Dryophytes suweonensis is registered as an endangered (IUCN: EN grade) and protected species in South Korea. Thus, it is necessary to develop a method to rapidly identify and discriminate the two species and establish efficient protection and restoration plans. We identified significant genetic variation between them by sequencing a maternally-inherited mitochondrial 12S ribosomal DNA region. Based on the sequence data, we designed a pair of primers containing 7 bp differences for high resolution melting (HRM) analysis to rapidly and accurately characterize their genotypes. The HRM analysis using genomic DNA showed that the melting peak for D. suweonensis was 76.4±0.06°C, whereas that of D. japonicus was 75.0±0.05°C. The differential melt curve plot further showed a distinct difference between them. We also carried out a pilot test for the application of HRM analysis based on immersing D. suweonensis in distilled water for 30 min to generate artificial environmental DNA (eDNA). The results showed 1.10-1.31°C differences in the melting peaks between the two tree frog samples. Therefore, this HRM analysis is rapid and accurate in identifying two tree frogs not only using their genomic DNA but also using highly non-invasive eDNA.

Paddy wetlands are a critical habitat for a variety of wild animals, and their rapid development and environmental changes pose a threat to the conservation of agrobiodiversity. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the habitat characteristics of anuran inhabiting paddy wetlands and identify major environmental variables affecting their distributions. The study was conducted in the Daeho reclaimed area in Dangjin, from March to October 2018. In this study, we found three anuran species (Pelophylax nigromaculatus, Hyla japonica and Pelophylax chosenicus). The environmental factors affecting the three species were identified as air temperature, humidity, water-depth, and micro-habitats. H. japonica were affected by water temperature, and P. chosenicus were affected by rice height and types of farming practices. All the three species richness was correlated with air temperature, humidity, and water-depth positively, and the three species used rice transplanted paddy fields the most. It was also found that paddy is the most preferred of the micro-habitats during the breeding season, so the survey area is considered to be used as the major breeding sites for the three species. P. chosenicus were more observed on environmental-friendly paddy fields than conventional paddy fields, which appears to be differences in their surroundings environment caused by predators and weeding. It will be needed to identify their relationship with predators, their preferred food resources and the richness and diversity of wild vegetation around paddy wetlands.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of a small-sized “customized” English conversation instruction on undergraduate university students’ communicative competence. The research was conducted at S university in Korea, where a three-week “customized” intensive English conversation program was provided to 38 participants. For this research, paired t-test analysis was carried out to compare the result of the pre-and post-program mock TOEIC and TOEIC Speaking results. Also, paired t-test analysis was used to compare the results of the survey that was designed to find out the changes in the participants’ attitude towards oral performances in classes. Finally, Pearson Correlational analysis was used to analyze the correlation between the participants’ level of participation and their level of program satisfaction. The results of the study strongly suggests that the small-sized, customized instruction had significant impact on the participants’ communicative competence and attitudes toward oral communicative performances in English.
