여자 초등학생의 신체활동과 심폐체력 및 신체구성 그리고 심혈관 위험인자와의 연관성

강현식, 하창덕, 홍혜련, 권훈겸, 김성희, 우상구. 여자 초등학생의 신체활동량 및 강도와 심폐체력, 신체구성, 심혈관 위험인자와의 상관성. 운동과학, 제20권 제4호. 389-396, 2011. 본 연구의 목적은 기존의 횡단적 연구에서 비만 및 대사증후군의 예방 및 치료를 위해 제시된 13,000보수의 적정보수를 목표로 12주간의 신체활동 중재를 실시한 후, 신체활동량 및 강도와 심폐체력, 비만지표, 심혈관 위험인자의 상관성을 검증하는 것이었다. 본 연구의 대상자는 초등학교 여학생24명(11.79±0.78세)으로 하였고, 12주 신체활동 중재 전과 후에 신장, 체중, 체질량지수, 체지방율, 허리둘레, 최대산소섭취량, 중성지방, 총 콜레스테롤, 고밀도지단백 콜레스테롤, 혈당을 측정하여 분석하였으며, 12주간 1일 13,000보수의 신체활동을 하도록 권고하였다. 연구결과, 12주간의 신체활동 중재를 통해 신장, 체중, BMI, 심폐체력의 유의한 증가가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 신체활동량과 신체구성, 심폐체력, 심혈관질환 위험인자와의 상관성 분석 결과, 신체활동량은 최대산소섭취량과 수축기혈압과 유의한 상관성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 신체활동 강도와 신체구성, 심폐체력, 심혈관질환 위험인자와의 상관성 분석 결과, 신장과 중강도 및 고강도 신체활동이 상관성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 초등학교 여학생의 경우 심폐체력증진과 키 성장 자극 그리고 비만 및 심혈관질환 위험인자의 효과적인 개선을 위해서는 중등도 이상의 규칙적인 운동을 포함하여 상당한 수준의 신체활동량(예, 1일 13,000보수)이 필요하다는 사실을 의미하는 것으로 판단된다. The purpose of current study was to investigate the correlations of physical activity with cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF), body composition, and cardiovascular risk factors in elementary school girls. A total of 24 girls (11.79±0.78 years) voluntarily participated in the physical activity intervention stuy. Before and after the intervention, all the participants underwent a series of measurements including body composition, obesity indices, CRF, and cardiovascular risk factors. Then each participant was invited to participate in a physical activity intervention targeting at 13,000 steps/day, which was predetermined in our preliminary study, for 12 weeks. All participants worn the Life-corder accelerometer to monitor their daily physical activities including its volume and intensity. Height, weight, body mass index, CRF were increased significantly after the 12-week PA intervention. PA volume was positively related to CRF and systolic blood pressure (SBP). Moderate and high PA intensities were positively relate to height growth. In conclusion, the current findings of the study suggest that substantial amount of physical activity (i.e., accumulated 13,000 steps per day) including regular exercise with moderate or higher intensities would be necessary for the improvements of in CRF, obesity indices, and cardiovascular risk factors as well as height growth.

Combined effects of fermented soybean complex and exercise training on leptin and UCP2 expressions in white adipose tissue of SD Rats. This study investigated the combined effects of fermented soybean complex (SC) and exercise training (EX) on leptin mRNA & protein and UCP2 mRNA & protein in white adipose tissue of SD male rats. A total of the 28 rats were randomly assigned to low-fat diet (LFD, n=7), high-fat diet (HFD, n=7), HFD+SC (HFDSC, n=7), and HFD+SC+EX (HFDSCEX, n=7) for 8 weeks of different treatments. Time by treatment analyses showed significant interaction for changed body weight such that the LFD and HFDSCEX groups had significantly lower body weight and adipose tissue size than the HFD and HFDSC groups. With respect to mRNA and protein expressions in adipose tissue, the LFD and HFDSCEX groups had significantly lower levels of leptin mRNA and protein expressions than the HFD and HFDSC groups, with no significant group differences between LFD and HFDSCEX groups. In summary, the current findings of the study suggest that a combined treatment of fermented soybean and exercise training has an anti-obesity effect against high-fat diet.

Little is known about whether or not cardio/respiratory fitness (CRF) modulates the genetic effect of adiponectin polymorphism on its outcome phenotypes. The aims of the study were to investigate whether or not the association between adiponectin gene SNP (+ 45T >G, rs2241766) and clustering of metabolic risk factors is modified by CRF in a study sample of 1025 young Korean adults (542 men and 483 women, mean age ranging between 19 and 26 years old). The clustering of metabolic risk factors was defined as the sum of Z scores for waist circumference (WC), blood pressure (BP), triglycerides (TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and fasting glucose. With respect to the SNP +45T/G, variant, a general linear model followed by post-hoc analysis showed that the TT genotype had a significantly higher BMI value compared to the GG genotype (P=0.035). Analyses based on CRF levels in a co-dominant model showed that the TT genotype had a significantly higher value for clustered risk score than the TG+GG genotype (P=0.005), but only in the low CRF subgroup. In summary, the present findings suggest that the SNP at position +45 is associated with clustering of metabolic risk factors, and the effects of the expression of the SNP are modulated by CRF.

The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of high-fat diet and exercise training of endoplasmic reticulum (EF) stress in skeletal muscle. Thirty-two Sparague Dawley male rats were divided into a control group (CON, n = 8), a High fat diet group (HF, n = 8), a high fat diet and a low intensity exercise group (HFLEX, n = 8) and a high fat diet and a high intensity exercise group (HFHEX, n = 8). It was carried out for twelve weeks with treadmill exercise. As a result, changes in body weight and body fat, and the fat in the blood components due to changes in obesity and hyperlipidemia were able to determine the general pattern, and the effects of exercise to reduce body weight and body fat, and blood lipid profiles were improved. ER stress signaling factor, such as a Bip, ATF4 and CHOP expression was increased in type I muscle fibers, Stress adaptation to exercise training in type Ⅰ fibers compared with low-intensity exercise at high intensity exercise in Bip and ATF4 mRNA was expressed in a significantly more distinct. This results in skeletal muscle by exercise training ER stress could be adapted to support the theory, but later due to a variety of area-specific or muscle fiber types studies will have to be continued
