        농약의 살포방법이 수도체부위별(水稻體部位別) 부착량(附着量)에 미치는 영향

        Distribution of pesticide deposit on the upper and lower halves of rice plants sprayed with various dilution and dosage of fenitrothion EC, Imidan WP, diazinon EC and phenthoate EC was studied under paddy field. Increasing dilution or dosage of the pesticides resulted in high level of deposits on the lower half of rice plants. The distribution of pesticide deposits on the upper half of Milyang 23 was higher than that of Akibare irrespective of pesticides, dilution and dosage.

      • Release Profile of <sup>14</sup>C-Butachlor from Controlled Release Formulation Prepared with Alginate-Kaoline Matrix

        Alginate와 Kaoline을 저장매체(貯藏媒體)로 사용(使用)하여 제제(製劑)한 Butachlor[N-(butoxymethyl)-2-chloro-2', 6'-diethylacetamlide] 방출조절제(放出調節劑)의 특성(特性) 및 주성분(主成分) 용출양상(溶出樣相)을 암조건(暗條件)과 일광노출(日光露出) 조건하(條件下)에서 zeolite 흡착형립제(吸着型粒劑)와 비교시험(比較試驗)하였다. Calcium alginate-Kaoline 저장체(貯藏體)에의 butachior제제율(製劑率)은 91.8%이상(以上)이었고 제품(製品)의 수율(收率)은 kaoline의 첨가량(添加量)이 증가(增加)할수록 감소(減少)하였다. 방출조절제(放出調節劑)의 수중(水中) 주성분(主成分) 용출속도(溶出速度)는 시험조건(試驗條件)에 관계(關係)없이 zeolite흡착형립체(吸着型粒劑)보다 완만(緩慢)하였고 kaoline의 함량(含量)이 증가(增加)할수록 그 속도(速度)는 현저(顯著)하게 감소(減少)하였다. 일광노출조건(日光露出條件)에서 수증기(水蒸氣)와의 공증류(共蒸溜)에 의(依)한 용출주성분(溶出主性成分)의 감소율(減少率)은 kaoline의 함량(含量)이 증가(增加)할수록 저하(低下)되는 경향(傾向)을 보였다. The herbicide $^{14}C$-butachlot[N-(butoxymethyl)-2-chloro-2', 6'-diethylacetanilide] labelled uniformly in benzene ring was incorporated in alginate-based granules to get controlled release properties. The influence of kaoline addition on the formulation characteristics and release profiles were evaluated under a closed dark and an opened sunlight condition. Incorporation efficiency of $^{14}C$-butachlor in alginate-kaoline matrices was over 91.8%. Formulation yield was decreased with increase of kaoline concentration. The release rate from all the granules prepared with alginate was slower than that from the commercial granule impregnated in zeolite. The release rate from the granule containing kaoline was decreased as the kaoline content was increased under both conditions. Losses of butachlor from the leacheate solution of the alginate-kaoline matrices under an opened sunlight condition was diminished by increasing the kaoline content.

        토양중 Butachlor 와 Nitrofen 의 분해에 관한 연구

        The persistence of preemergence herbicides, butachlor [2-chloro-2,6-diethyl-N(butoxymethyl) acetanilide] and nitrofen(2,4-dichlorophenyl-4-nitrophenyl ether), at 10 ppm level in different soil conditions amended with organic matter and lime was studied under flooded and field moisture capacity. The microbial breakdown played a major role in the dissipation of the herbicides in soil. Nitrofen degradation in flooded soil was greatly accelerated, while it was slowed down in field moisture capacity as compared with butachlor. Increased amendment of rice straw to the soil shortened the half-life of butachlor under flooded condition, however it prolonged that of butachlor when the amendment was exceeded over 1% on dry weight basis. Liming the soil stimulated decomposition of the herbicides in the soil systems, which ap pears to be pH independent.

        A relatively wide range of weed technology concerning sound herbicide development, its formulation exploitation, and application techniques was extensively reviewed in accordance with least inputted sustainable agriculture. Herbicide plays an integral part of farmers' cultural practices in Korean agriculture like rest of world over. Weeds are more obstacle to the adaptation of more sustainable agriculture system. Because weeds dictate most of the crop production practices, weed scientists must become the leaders of collaborative integrated approaches to agriculture systems research. Feasible ways to minimize herbicide input involve the positive introduction of low-rate selective chemistries, innovative formulations, biological herbicides and newly developed application technology. Since herbicide will remain to be a core position in weed management for the foreseeable future, research is needed to optimize herbicide application technology and to minimize their impact on the environment. Public concerns and regulatory pressures on agricultural chemicals are likely to strengthen throughout this decade and coming. Researchers, pesticide manufacturing industries and regulatory authorities have to work together more closely, leading to understand each other better, as well as the needs of our customers and those of society. To be taken extensively, weed control management practices in the future have to be accepted such a way the respective demands of environment, society and economics are entirely matched.

        수도(水稻) 문고병방제용(紋枯病防除用) 수면부유제(水面浮遊劑)의 개발 가능성에 관한 연구

        Some physico-chemical properties and biological activities of new fungicide formulations were tested to investigate a feasibility of water-floating formulation development for sheath blight control in rice. Pencycuron[1-(4-chlorobenzyl)-1-cyclopenty-3-phenylurea] and flutolanil(α, α ,α-trifluoro-3'-isopropoxy-O-toluanilide) were chosen as toxicants for the formulations. Vegetable oil and surface active agents were used as a floating agent and spreader, respectively. All the formulations tested showed an excellent spreadability on the water having over 35㎠/㎎ and were chemically stable, which the degradation rates of active ingredients mere less than 10% after 12 weeks of storage at 50℃. Most of the applied test formulation of pencycuron was retained within 0.5㎝ of the surface paddy water, while that of flutolanil was vertically dispersed in the water. Inhibition activity of the tested pencycuron formulation on the sclerotia germination of the pathogen in paddy water w-as maintained over 30 days after the formulation treatment. Control effect of 4% pencycuron. water-floating formulated with surface active agent of hydro-lipophyllic balance 4.3 on the disease in rice was equal to the reference fungicide(pencycuron 25% WP) when the former was treated one day before the transplantation of rice seedlings. Overflowing the submerged paddy water after the formulation treatment resulted in a deterious effect on the disease control.

        제제방법별(製劑方法別) 혼합입제(混合粒劑) 농약의 특성과 약효

        A comparative study of chemical characteristics, efficacy and relative merits of extruded and coated granules, containing fungicide and insecticide. was conducted under laboratory and field conditions. Probenzole(3-allyloxy-1,2-benzisothiazole 1,1-dioxide) and carbofuran(2,3-dihydro-2,2-dimethyl-7-benzofuranyl methyl carbamate) were chosen as toxicants for rice blast(Pyricularia oryzae) and brown planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens) control, respectively. Stability of active ingredients in coated granule was superior to the extruded one under accelerated temperature. Active ingredient dissolution of coated one into distilled water showed slow- release pattern. Pesticide residues in rice (Oryzae saliva, Chucheongbyeo) shoos applied with extruded one at the dosage of 3㎏/10a retained higher levels than those with coated one on two days after application, while the residue levels were a reversed tendency on eight days after application. Efficacy on rice blast exhibited minute differences between the granules, on the other hand efficacy on brown planthopper by coated one was of higher rank than that by extruded one. Production cost of the combined pesticide granule by coating method could be cut down by 6% as compared to extrusion method.

        퇴비의 전질소와 암모니아 함량이 양송이 수량에 미치는 영향

        Among the factors which affect the mushroom yield. this investigation was aimed to confim the relationship between nitrogen content of rice straw compost and crop yield, residual ammonia content and yield. In this investigation the nitrogen content in dry weight of compost ranged from 1.10 to 2.06% and the residual ammonia content between 0.01 and 0.8% at spawning according to the sources of organic or inorganic nitrogen and the formulas of compost materials. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. The relationship between nitrogen content of rice straw compost anti mushroom yield was represented by the formula: y=13.95+0.048(r=0.68^(**)). 2. Nitrogen content and mushroom yield of compost supplemented with organic nitrogen sources were increased as compared with control or inorganic treatments. 3. The relationship between the residual ammonia content and mushroom yield is represented by the formula: y=0.38086-0.011948+0.0012x²(r=-0.75^(**)). In order to obtain high cropping yield the residual ammonia content at spawning should be below 0.03%(expressed as nitrogen content), 4. Application of ammonium sulfate increased the nitrogen content of compost slightly, but the residual ammonia content was increased considerably and yield decreased. On the other hand, the residual ammonia content of urea treatment was low and increased mushroom yield remarkably.
