Green policies are being implemented globally to respond to climate change throughout the all industries. The AEC industry is also increasingly demanding regional energy management in addition to buildings. In spite of various efforts for energy management in the port area where the logistics industry is in progress, there are many difficulties. We propose an ICT - based energy management system to solve these problems. The proposed system has energy monitoring and energy reduction simulation functions. We expect that the system will be a basis for regional energy management and green policies response.

With the emergence of environment-friendly paradigms, many countries around the world have enacted various laws to take care of environmental pollution-related problems. The goal of these environmental laws and regulations was to properly respond to rapid environmental pollution. Because of the simultaneous enactment of these laws on diverse pollution sources, however, a variety of problems, including an unclear correlation among these laws, have occurred. As a result, workers have found it hard to collect and use the related laws and regulations. Therefore, this study proposes a metadata-based information retrieval method for the efficient search of environment-friendly laws and regulations. The laws and regulations were structured using metadata from users, business stage, topic and department. These were obtained through semantic analysis on environment-friendly laws and regulations, and then an intelligent retrieval approach was utilized. To verify the retrieval plan, a test case was conducted, and improvement in retrieval accuracy against the conventional system was confirmed. It appears that the proposed plan will improve productivity in the construction industry by improving accuracy in retrieving environment-friendly laws and regulations.

As buildings become larger and more complicated, construction costs have increased with a considerable effect on buildings' Life Cycle Cost (LCC). However, there has been little consideration on economic aspects in the selection of construction materials due to limited information on the materials and dependency in architects' experience and inefficiency in cost estimation, causing design changes, increase in maintenance cost, difficulty in budgeting, and decrease in building performance. To solve these problems, this study proposed a BIM-based material selection model which reflects the comprehensive economic efficiency of building materials. Our cost prediction model can estimates the material-related cost during the entire building life cycle. Furthermore, we implemented the proposed model in connection with BIM, which can analyze and compare LCC by material. Through the validation of the model, we could confirm the necessity of LCC-based material selection in comparison with the conventional cost-centered material selection.

This paper describes the improved environment recognition algorithms using some type of sensors like LiDAR and cameras. Additionally, integrated control algorithm for an autonomous vehicle is included. The integrated algorithm was based on C++ environment and supported the stability of the whole driving control algorithms. As to the improved vision algorithms, lane tracing and traffic sign recognition were mainly operated with three cameras. There are two algorithms developed for lane tracing, Improved Lane Tracing (ILT) and Histogram Extension (HIX). Two independent algorithms were combined into one algorithm - Enhanced Lane Tracing with Histogram Extension (ELIX). As for the enhanced traffic sign recognition algorithm, integrated Mutual Validation Procedure (MVP) by using three algorithms - Cascade, Reinforced DSIFT SVM and YOLO was developed. Comparing to the results for those, it is convincing that the precision of traffic sign recognition is substantially increased. With the LiDAR sensor, static and dynamic obstacle detection and obstacle avoidance algorithms were focused. Therefore, improved environment recognition algorithms, which are higher accuracy and faster processing speed than ones of the previous algorithms, were proposed. Moreover, by optimizing with integrated control algorithm, the memory issue of irregular system shutdown was prevented. Therefore, the maneuvering stability of the autonomous vehicle in severe environment were enhanced.
