Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the concept of recovery in relation to those living with mental illness and provide a better understanding to the definition, perspectives, and paradigm of recovery in phenomenon, as a conceptual knowledge. Methods: A literature review was conducted to define the concept of recovery from a mental illness by using key words, "recovery", "mental health and illness", "concept analysis" and "recovery-oriented nursing", and searching the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, PubMed, Cochrane library and RISS4U database. Concept analysis of recovery was done, by using the Walker and Avant's framework of concept analysis. Results: Attributes of recovery for those living with mental illness included regain, life reconstruction, hope, adjustment, and health. Antecedents of recovery from mental illness included instilling hope, recovery vision, belief, peer support, recovery-oriented services, empowerment, personal accountability, education, human rights and culture. The consequences, as meanings of recovery included self-esteem, hopeful life, positive adjustment, and healthy life. Conclusion: Concept of recovery is important for a nurse to understand when caring for a person living with mental illness. This concept of recovery from mental illness may apply to future studies to develop a recovery-oriented nursing intervention.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify clubhouses general characteristics, core services, funding sources and costs in Korean Clubhouse Model, and to compare with Korean and international clubhouses. We explored the annual budget, cost per member, and cost per visit for 1 year. Methods: The data were collected from 14 Korean clubhouses and analyzed using descriptive statistics and Spearman's rank correlation with the SPSS 14.0 program. Results: The average of clubhouse operating period was 8.2 years. There were an average of 40.4 active members; among them, 84.1% were schizophrenia. In addition, there were an average of 5.8 staff and 15.3 services in each clubhouse. Cost estimates were as follows: annual budget (excluding housing) $223.633, cost per member $5,704, and cost per visit $21.35. There were significant difference among the annual budget, number of staff, number of service, and active members, but hours of Work-Ordered Day and social activities hours were not statistically significant. Conclusion: Findings provide a more understanding of operations, programs, and costs of Korean clubhouses.

본 연구는 영구임대아파트 지역주민의 음주실태와 음주문제에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고자 하였다. 2012년 8월 20일부터 9월 28일까지 인천 Y지역에 소재한 영구임대아파트의 20세 이상 지역주민으로부터 자료를 수집하였고, 기술통 계, chi-square test, Logistic regression을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 음주율은 낮았지만, 알코올사용장애 유병율은 높 게 나타났다. 영구임대아파트 지역주민의 음주문제는 40대 이하, 미혼인 경우, 음주이유가 습관성, 불면, 불안, 무직, 대인관계 때문인 경우 높은 것으로 나타났다. 향후 이러한 변수를 고려하여 영구임대아파트 지역주민의 문제음주수준에 따른 개별적 인 접근방안을 마련할 필요가 있으며, 이들의 안전한 지역사회 환경을 위협하는 문제 음주자에 대한 적극적인 접근과 정책 개발이 요구된다. The purpose of this study was to identify alcohol status and related factors of drinking problems among Residents at Permanent Rental Apartments in Incheon. Data was collected from 20 August 2012 to 28 September 2012, and the 663 subjects were analyzed using SPSS 18.0. The data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics, chi-square test and logistic regression. As a result of survey, alcohol consumption was low, but prevalence of alcohol was high. From the logistic regression analysis, age(less than 40), unmarried, drinking reason for habituation, insomnia, anxiety, unemployed and interpersonal relationships were associated with in drinking problems of the residents of permanent rental apartments. Considering of these variables, the future research is necessary to provide an individual approach based on problem drinking level as well as to provide a proactive approach and policy development for of permanent rental apartment residents.
