To overcome side effects of dandruff medications, many researches on natural anti-dandruff compounds are actively being conducted. Here, we tried to isolate and identify antifungal compounds against four Malassezia species (M. restricta, M. globosa, M. furfur, M. sympodialis) from Cinnamomoum cassia Blume. Cinnamomum cassia Blume was extracted with 80% (v/v) ethanol for 7 days. The extracts were purified by solvent fractionation, silica gel column chromatography and HPLC. The purified compound was identified for the active peak with 1H-NMR and <SUP>13</SUP>C-NMR. Among 5 solvent fractions, only hexane fraction (CHF) showed antifungal activity. The data showed that CHF has higher activity than that of Zinc pyrithione (ZPT) in M. furfur, and lower than that of ZPT in M. restricta, M. globosa and M. sympodialis. Thus, CHF has been further purified by silica gel column chromatography and Prep-HPLC. The analysis of 1H-NMR and <SUP>13</SUP>C-NMR revealed that structure of isolated compound is coumarin. Coumarin showed the antifungal activity of 11.5 mm, 10.1 mm, 14.2 mm and 19.8 mm for M. furfur, M. restricta, M. globosa and M. sympodialis, respectively. MIC50 values of coumarin were 79.09 μg/mL, 133.91 μg/mL, 63.41 μg/mL and 19.72 μg/mL for M. furfur, M. restricta, M. globosa and M. sympodialis, respectively. The anti-inflammatory activity of coumarin at concentrations of 0.013∼0.855 nM showed that coumarin inhibited nitric oxide production by 18∼22% in RAW 264.7 cell. These data suggest that Cinnamomum cassia Blume extracts and its isolated coumarin are good candidates for dandruff medications.

축제 이미지가 도시브랜드자산 및 지역 애호도에 미치는 영향: 안동국제탈춤페스티벌 사례에서 지역주민과 관광객들을 대상으로

본 연구는 첫째, 축제 이미지가 도시브랜드자산 및 지역 애호도에 미치는 영향을 연구하고 둘째, 관광객과 지역주민간 축제 이미지가 도시브랜드자산 및 지역 애호도에 미치는 영향력에 있어 어떠한 차이를 보이는지 알아보기 위하여 진행되었다. 이를 규명하기 위하여 2015년 안동국제탈춤페스티벌 방문객들을 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하였으며, 총 289부의 답변을 바탕으로 빈도분석, 요인분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 축제 이미지는 도시브랜드자산 및 지역 애호도에 영향을 미쳤으며, 축제 이미지가 인지적 이미지인지 정서적 이미지인지에 따라서 영향력에 있어 차이점을 보였다. 지역주민의 경우 축제의 인지적 이미지와 정서적 이미지가 모두 도시브랜드자산 중 거주지 이미지와 관광지 이미지에 영향을 미친 반면, 관광객에게서는 인지적 이미지만이 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 축제의 정서적 이미지는 도시브랜드자산 중 투자지 이미지에 영향을 미치는 가운데, 그 효과는 지역주민보다 관광객에게서 더 크게 나타났다. 마지막으로 지역주민의 경우 축제의 인지적 이미지와 정서적 이미지가 지역 애호도에 영향을 미치는 반면, 관광객의 경우 정서적 이미지만이 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 향후 안동국제탈춤페스티벌의 마케팅에 있어 이론적 실질적 시사점을 제공할 것으로 기대된다. 안동국제탈춤페스티벌을 통해 도시브랜드자산의 가치를 증대하기 위해서는 축제 기획단계에서 도시브랜드자산 중 어떠한 이미지를 극대화할 것인지 고민하고 실질적으로 축제 마케팅에 응용하여 프로그램을 개발하는 것이 필요하다. 또한 지역 애호도를 증진시키기 위해서는 참가자들을 대상으로 축제의 정서적 이미지를 만족시키는 것이 중요하다. The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of the festival image on city brand equity and regional loyalty, and to explain how the differences between tourists and local residents are distinguished. The visitors of ``2015 Andong International Maskdance Festival`` were selected as the respondents, and the survey questionnaires were collected accordingly. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis were carried out with a total of 289 responses. As a result, while the festival image influenced both city brand equity and regional loyalty, the influence tourists and local residents received were significantly different. The influence also showed a difference depending on the festival image being cognitive or emotional. In the case of local residents, the festival`s cognitive and emotional image had an influence on the image of city brand equity as both sights and residential area, while in the case of tourists, only the festival`s cognitive image had an influence. Also the festival`s emotional image was shown to have an impact on city brand equity`s image as investment, and this impact was larger on tourists than local residents. Lastly, in the case of local residents, the festival`s cognitive and emotional image influenced their regional loyalty, while in the case of tourists, only the festival`s emotional image had an influence. This research is expected to provide theoretical and practical marketing guidelines for Andong International Maskdance Festival hereafter. To improve city brand equity of Andong through this festival, it is necessary to think about what image should be maximized from the planning steps, and apply it to the programs. It is also essential to make participants satisfied in regard to the festival`s emotional image in order to improve regional loyalty.

We conducted a study to access the effectiveness of glove and washing hands for the prevention of microbial contamination during the dental clinical practice. Microbial numbers at unwashed hands and gloves were 9.938×103 (CFU)/ml, those at washed with soap were 9.44×103 CFU/ml And those at washed with a typical liquid soap including disinfectant, Dettol (Reckitt Benckiser, Slough, SL1 3UH, UK) were 6.58×102 CFU/ml. In case of unwashed hand and hand washing with soap had similar microbial numbers and in case of hand washing with Dettol showed a rapid decrease of microbial number. Hand washing with Dettol was effective to prevent microbial contamination than hand washing with soap. Also microbial numbers in all case wearing gloves decreased. It showed effectiveness of gloves for prevention of microbial contamination. In addition to microbial numbers showed a tendency to increase from 3 hours on wearing gloves, the change of new gloves after 3 hours on wearing is necessary to minimize the danger of microbial contamination.
