Strain Analysis using Fourier Transform Grid Method and Its Image Processing

진동하는 구조물을 설계할 때에는 그 구조물 중의 Strain이나 응력이 최대가 되는 장소나 시각을 알 필요가 있다. 지금까지의 Strain 해석에는 Strain gauge 등과 같은 접촉법이 많이 이용되고 있다. 더우기, 접촉법으로 대변형 진동을 하는 물체의 Strain을 해석하는 것은 곤란하다. 최근에는 비접촉법으로 Strain 분포를 해석하기 위해 화상처리를 이용한 계측이 행하여지고 있다. 이들의 Strain 분포를 측정하는 광학적인 방법으로는 격자법, Moire법, 홀로 그랩픽 간섭법 등이 있다. 특히 대변형이나 대Strain을 해석하는 데에는 격자법이 많이 이용되고 있는데, 종래의 격자법은 Data를 처리하는 데에 많은 시간과 노력이 소요되고 작업도 매우 복잡하며, Data의 수도 제한이 되어서 구조물의 분포의 해석 정도에 큰 영향을 미치게 된다. 본 논문 에서는 스테레오법을 이용해서 2차원 격자를 붙인 시료표면의 각 점의 3차원 좌표를 계측하고, 또 Fourier 변환 격자법을 적용하여 촬영된 2차원 격자의 화상에서 위상치를 구한다. 그리고 물체의 변형 전후의 대응 관계의 화상에서 3차원 형상과 Strain 분포를 해석하는 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법을 이용하면 진동하는 구조 물의 3차원 변위분포, Strain 분포를 정도 좋게 해석할 수가 있다.
Strain Gauge Type 傾斜計의 振動特性에 관한 硏究

Strain Gauge type clinometer usually use the pendulum as the operating mechanism, but they differ each other in the shape of the pendulum, the detecting method of the angular displacement of the pendulum and damping method. Strain Gauge type clinometer made experimentally was checked through the characteristic examinations. As the results of this study, we come to know that error in meter reading was within 5.6% F.S. and response time was about 0.2 sec.

This investigation on the dependence of the AT plate crystal vibrator on the temperature was carried out. The results were as follows: 1. As the measurement range of temperature stability was increased, no other better crystal vibrator with respect to the temperature stability existed. 2. The vibration type and the thickness of the AT plate crystal vibrator depended on the frequencing characteristics of it. 3. The elasticity and the density of the crystal vibrator were varied according to the modulus of temperature.

Some of eukaryotic transcription factors are multifunctional proteins which play important roles in DNA replication as well as in transcription. Two of such proteins, yeast ARS binding factor 1(ABF 1) and rat Nuclear Factor 1-A (NF1-A), were analyzed for their abilities to activate transcription in yeast cells using yeast GAL4 fusion system. Different regions of ABF1 and NF1-A were fused with yeast GAL4 DNA binding domain and monitored for transcriptional activation abilities in yeast cells. Our studies reveal that ABF1 was incapble of activating transcription in yeast by itself, indicating that ABF1 may require some other factors for activation of transcription. In contrast, rat NF1-A was able to activate transcription in yeast, indicating that NF1-A activates transcription by direct interaction with some components of transcription machinery which were conserved among wide ranges of cells. Two domains in rat NF1-A between amino acid residues 393 and 447 and between residues 448 and 509. were important for transcriptional activation functions The carboxyterminal region of NF1-A at the position between residues 470 and 482 contains SPTSPTY sequence similar to the heptapeptide of carboxyterminal domain (CTD) of RNA polymerase II largest subunit, which has been implicated in the activation of transcription previously. The two domains were able to activate transcription independently and, when present together, more active than each of the domains by about two folds.

The design theory of roller gate has been systematized laying more emphasis on practical formulas than theoretical ones and the design procedure of the existing gate facilities is reviewed and analyzed on economical viewpoint and safety factor. The design theory of Timo-shenko, the thechnical standards for hydraulic gate and penstock of Japan, and the design standards for waterworks structures of Germany are applied to the study of optimal design of a gate leaf.<br/> In this study, gate leaf which is now being operated for water control at the seadike, estuary dam and reservoir dam are adopted as a model, and a new design method by the computer is proposed through the variation of design elements within practical ranges.<br/> As a result, safety factor and economical design can be made by using T-beams to the horizontal and vertical beam of the gate leaf instead of H-beams used in the existing seadike roller gate at Asan, and total weight of gate leaf is reduced by the present optimization.
