최근 항공용 가스터빈 연소기 설계는 공기 유입조건(유량, 온도, 압력 등) 변화에 따른 화염안정성 증대, 연소실의 수명 확보, 연소기 출구온도 유지 및 오염물질 저감 등을 목표로 한다. 이러한 연소기의 성능을 운용조건에 맞춰 고압 연소시험을 통하여 검증하는 것은 많은 비용과 시간이 소요되어 제한이 따른다. 최근에는 구성품의 조합 변경이나 국부적인 설계변경이 연소기 성능에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) 해석을 통한 엔진 운용 조건별 연소특성 및 연소기 내부 구조물의 물리량 등을 예측하고 있다. 이러한 수치해석 결과로 설계변경에 따른 영향성 평가가 가능하며 개발비용의 절감과 납기 단축이 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 3차원 전산유체해석 상용 코드인 ANSYS FLUENT 15.0을 이용하여 연소기 설계점에서 스월러 형상에 따른 화염의 형상 및 구조물의 온도분포를 계산하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 향후 설계 개선방향을 검토하였다.

In order to improve the fuel economy by design change of automatic transmission, various technologies such as increased shift stages, slip control of lock-up clutch and compact and low-weight design have been developed. And also many OEMs have developed their own ATFs as a part of these automatic transmissions. In this study, to investigate the effects of ATF characteristics on fuel economy, we got the worldwide OEM ATFs and made some reference fluids. And physical properties, frictional characteristics and fuel economy using dynamometer test for these fluids were evaluated. From the investigation, it was found that viscosities of ATFs are correlated with fuel economy in dynamometer test and reducing the viscosities made it possible to obtain fuel economy.

고온/고압용 가스터빈 연소기 시험리그 및 설비 구축 (Ⅱ)

연소기의 주요 공력특성인 압력손실, 연소효율, 출구온도 분포, 배기가스 성분, 점화 영역 및 화염 안정 영역 등을 측정하는 연소기 성능시험을 위하여 필요한 설비 및 리그 개발 현황을 소개하고자 한다. 연소기 개발과제의 일환으로 항공용 직류환형 연소기를 시험대상으로 하여 실 운전 조건인 고온, 고압, 대유량 환경을 모사할 수 있도록 설비를 구성하였고, 온도, 속도가 균일한 공기 공급과 고온/고압 환경에서도 안정적인 시험결과를 획득할 수 있도록 고압리그를 설계하였다. 그리고 배관 해석을 통하여 시험설비 유로 공급계통의 제어기법 및 안정성을 확보하고 있으며, 상용 S/W를 이용하여 연소시험 조건별 시험설비의 주요 밸브의 개도 등을 예측하여 제어시스템 구축에 활용하고 있다. 현재 주요 구성품 성능시험과 전체 시스템에 대한 통합시험을 준비 중이다. This research introduces the overall design, manufacture and construction status of the high pressure combustor test rig and facilities for measuring the combustor performance. This facility is real scale so that test conditions can be matched to the actual gas turbine engine operational conditions of high temperature, high pressure and large flow. This rig mounting the straight annular type combustor is connected the inlet air temperature and velocity uniformity device and designed for measuring the test data under severe conditions. Also, test logic and control valves were corrected by piping analysis and the openness of system control valves are predicted using commercial S/W for each test condition. Now, we are testing the performance of major components on site and preparing the integration test.
[연료 및 윤활유부문] 윤활기유가 자동변속기유 성능에 미치는 영향

Performance requirements for automatic transmission fluids have been changed reflecting the design changes of automatic transmissions. The major purpose of these design changes is concentrated upon improvements of both fuel economy and drivability. In order to formulate such high performance ATFs as satisfy those requirements, it is necessary to use high quality base oils like VHVI base oils and PAOs. In this study, the effect of base oils characteristics on ATF performance is investigated, mainly regarding differences in frictional characteristics with deterioration. Frictional characteristics are determined using the SAE No.2 machine and ATFs are deteriorated under various controlled conditions. Moreover, low-temperature fluidity, oxidation stability, and seal compatibility are also compared for four different ATFs. From the investigation, it was found that the use of Group III and IV base oils in ATFs gives several benefits with respect to low temperature viscosity, oxidation stability and SAE No.2 friction characteristics.

In the automotive electric water pump, the gap height between the closed type impeller and the volute casing is inevitable due to part’s injection molding and the product assembly process. Therefore, In this study, we investigated the effect of the clearance of the pump on the performance in the same closed type impeller. Numerical analysis was performed using CFD for different the gap height models, and hydraulic performance tests were conducted using our test bench. As a result, it was confirmed that the gap height is closely related to the leakage amount inside the centrifugal pump, which greatly affects the hydraulic performance of the pump. Throughout this study, we proposed the optimal gap height.

The high-pressure hydrogen valve is intended to supply hydrogen charged at high pressure in the hydrogen tank to the fuel cell stack, which decompresses high-pressure hydrogen gas to low pressure and primarily limits the excessive flow. It consists of a pilot valve, a main valve, and a excessive flow valve to operate in a wide pressure range from 2 to 70 MPa of charging pressure. The opening characteristics of the valve were confirmed by computation fluid dynamics applying the moving grid technique. The behavior of the valve was predicted by predicting the force acting on the valve over time. In addition, the difference in behavior according to supply pressure was compared.
