The study was intended to analyze the temperature distribution inside the double-skin system in summertime and to that end, measuring the temperature inside the facade double-skin system and simulation were conducted. Included in the temperature measurement were surface temperature of exterior window, air temperature inside the cavity of double-skin system, temperature of building window and the temperature of exterior skin of the building. Using the temperature and air velocity measured at the end as the parameter, simulation of temperature distribution inside the double-skin was carried out, which proved that the faster the velocity of air flow at the end of double-skin the lower the temperature distribution inside the double-skin.

This study was conducted to forecast inner water temperature strata change by extracting deep water from a dam. For the methodology, the scope wherein the balance between the volume of low-temperature water intake through the virtual water intake opening as installed within the stored water area and the volume of water intake from the surrounding area is not destroyed was calculated through the CFD simulation technique using the computational fluid dynamics(CFD) interpretation method. This study suggested a supplementary method (diffuser) to avoid destroying the water temperature strata, and the effect was reviewed. In case of intake of the same volume, when the velocity of flow of water intake is reduced by increasing the pipe diameter, the destruction of water temperature strata can be minimized. When the area (height) where the intake of water is possible is low, a diffuser for interrupting the vertical direction inflow should be installed to secure favorable water intake conditions in case of water intake on the upper part. This study showed that there was no problem if the intake-enabled, low-temperature area was seemed approximately 10m from the bottom when the scope that does not destroy the water temperature strata in case of water intake was forecast using the regression formula.

In this study, natural ventilation and energy performance of multi-stories type double skin facade(DSF) was evaluated according to its opening design. The objective of this study is to suggest design method for reducing cooling load of office building with DSF. study is to suggest design method for reducing cooling load of office building with DSF. Energyplus simulation with airflow network is conducted to analyze on thermal, airflow condition and indoor cooling load of each alternative. Using the simulation baseline of the previous study,natural ventilation and indoor cooling energy performance is analyzed by air temperature and total pressure according to opening and wind direction at upper part of DSF. As results of this study, ALT2 applied top side opening reacts to outdoor wind direction flexibly, and shows excellent performance in terms of the natural ventilation(49.3% improvement compared to the Baseline) and the indoor cooling load(5.9% improvement compared to the Baseline).

This study is intended to identify how quick disconnect coupling which connects with refrigerant piping of air-conditioner using R-22 refrigerant has effect on characteristics of flux. in the case where the air-conditioner installs utilizes quick disconnect coupling, COP has an effect on the quantity of cooling load because of changing flow rate and physical properties of refrigerant which flow into an entrance of expansion valve from coupling. Variation of flow rate can be regulated by changing expansion-contraction angle; α of an entrance and an exit of coupling. Thermal buffer between the indoor and outdoor space of the building by double envelope system provide energy savings and comfortable environment. This paper mentioned thermal analysis of environmental factors on its performance evaluated based on the front type double skin envelope system among general type double skin envelope system. In this Research, analyze the performance of solar energy utilization in field experiments analyze of the front type double skin envelop system applied to the Green Building at Korea Institute of the Research. Each season (summer, mid season, winter) of solar radiation (high, medium, low) temperature distribution inside a double envelope were analyzed. The solar radiation by the (high, medium, low) of each layer and intermediate space in double skin envelop temperature gradient of the internal temperature distribution were negligible in summer (July-August) and mid season (September-October). When solar radiation is high, the temperature gradient of each layer showed a significant variation of the internal temperature distribution is also larger in winter.

This study analyzed operation characteristics of air-condition piping is made by quick disconnect coupling. Air-conditioning consists of central compressor 3HP capacity and R22 refrigerant. We experimented with two operation cycles of air-condition under the same environment; one is with quick disconnect coupling. The other is without quick disconnect coupling. As a result, we can observe whether the condensation temperature of former increased by about 3-5. Furthermore, COP decreased by about 10%.
