변형된 Quadratic 필터를 이용한 PDA로 획득한 명함 영상의 블록 적응 이진화

본 논문에서는 PDA에 장착된 카메라로 얻어진 명함 영상을 효과적으로 이진화하기 위하여 변형된 quadratic 필터(modified quadratic filter: MQF)를 이용한 블록 적응 이진화 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법에서는 영상을 8${\times}$8 크기의 블록으로 나누고 각 블록을 문자 블록과 배경 블록으로 분류한다. 그런 다음 분류된 각 문자 블록을 중심으로 24${\times}$24 크기의 사각 창(rectangular window)을 씌우고 그 결과 블록을 전처리 필터인 QF에서 이진화를 위한 역치 선택 과정을 변형한 MQF를 이용하여 개선한다. 마지막으로 MQF에서 선택한 역치를 기준으로 하여 개선된 블록의 8${\times}$8 크기의 중심 블록에 대하여 이진화를 수행하고 영상의 원래의 위치에 채워서 이진화된 영상을 얻는다. 실험 결과 제안된 MQF와 블록 적응 이진화 방법은 PDA로 획득한 시험 명함 영상에 대하여 각각 기존의 QF와 전역 이진화 방법보다 이진화 성능에 미치는 영향이 우수하였다. 그리고 제안된 MQF를 이용한 블록적응 이진화 방법은 기존의 QF를 이용한 전역 이진화 방법에 비하여 문자가 훨씬 선명하게 나타나는 우수한 화질의 이진화 영상을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 이들 이진화 영상들에 대하여 현재 상용화되고 있는 문자 인식 프로그램으로 문자 인식률을 비교한 결과, 제안된 방법에 의한 이진화 영상이 약 87.7%의 문자 인식률을 보여 약 55.7%의 문자 인식률을 보인 기존의 QF를 이용한 전역 이진화 방법에 의한 이진화 영상에 비하여 약 32.0%의 문자 인식률 증가를 보였다. In this paper, we propose a block adaptive binarization (BAB) using a modified quadratic filter (MQF) to binarize business card images acquired by personal digital assistant (PDA) cameras effectively. In the proposed method, a business card image is first partitioned into blocks of 8${\times}$8 and the blocks are then classified into character Hocks (CBs) and background blocks (BBs). Each classified CB is windowed with a 24${\times}$24 rectangular window centering around the CB and the windowed blocks are improved by the pre-processing filter MQF, in which the scheme of threshold selection in QF is modified. The 8${\times}$8 center block of the improved block is barbarized with the threshold selected in the MQF. A binary image is obtained tiling each binarized block in its original position. Experimental results show that the MQF and the BAB have much better effects on the performance of binarization compared to the QF and the global binarization (GB), respectively, for the test business card images acquired in a PDA. Also the proposed BAB using MQF gives binary images of much better quality, in which the characters appear much better clearly, over the conventional GB using QF. In addition, the binary images by the proposed BAB using MQF yields about 87.7% of character recognition rate so that about 32.0% performance improvement over those by the GB using QF yielding about 55.7% of character recognition rate using a commercial character recognition software.

In this paper, a direct conversion from single-phase to three-phase alternating current using thyristor switching device is proposed, and this system is proposed to remove several defects inherent in the device feeding from a single phase power, when the converter is used to an induction motor drive this system could achieve an excellent characteristics such as high starting torque and low starting current. The smooth output voltage wave form and sinusoidal input current could be obtained by replacing the conventional rectifier circuit with the convertor.

Semiconducting SnO₂ film has been deposited on the surface of Si single crystal by the C.V.D method, and the Electrical properties have been I on investigated SnO₂-Si n-n heterojunction. The I-V characteristics SnO₂-Si n-n heterojunction showed a good rectification. In this paper, through the window of the reactor color interference control the thickness of the changes slowly enough to spray Chemical vapor deposition of solar cells made using the electrical properties of materials will be investigated.

인지장애를 가진 노인 환자에서 종교성 변인과 자살 사고와의 관계

목 적 : 본 연구는 인지장애를 가진 노인 환자를 대상으로 우울과 자살 사고와의 관계에서 종교적 변인이 미치는 조절효과에 대하여 알아보고자 하였다. 방 법 : 국내에서 60세 이상의 경도인지 장애와 경도 알츠하이머병에 의한 치매 환자 579명을 대상으로 듀크영성척도(Duke Religion Index, 이하 DUREL), 자살생각척도(Suicidal Ideation Scale, 이하 SIS), 한국판 단축형 노인우울척도(Short Geriatric Depression Scale of Korean version, 이하 SGDS-K)등을 측정하였다. 이후 종교가 있는 군과 종교가 없는 군에서 각각 척도의 점수를 비교하 였고, 우울과 자살과의 관계에서 종교적 변인들의 조절효과에 대하여 알아보기 위하여 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결 과 : 종교가 있는 군에서 종교모임 참석 빈도(organizational religious activity, 이하 ORA), 개인적 종교 활동 빈도(non-organizational activity, 이하 NORA), 그리고 내적 믿음 정도(intrinsic religiosity, 이하 IR)가 모두 유의미하게 높았고 SIS와 SGDS-K는 두 군간 유의한 차이가 없었다. 그러나, 내적 믿음은 우울과 자살 관계에서 유의미한 조절 효과를 보였다. 결 론 : 인지장애를 가진 노인 환자에서 내적 믿음은 자살 사고에 대한 우울의 부정적인 효과를 조절함으로써, 스스로 우울하다고 느끼는 상황에서도 자살 생각을 더 적게 하도록 하는 것으로 보인다. Objectives : This study aimed to investigate the moderating effect of religious variables on the relationship between depression and suicidal ideation in the elderly with cognitive impairment. Methods : We analyzed the data of 579 subjects over 60 years old with mild cognitive impairment and mild dementia of Alzheimer’s disease using Duke Religion Index (DUREL), Suicidal Ideation Scale (SIS), and Short Geriatric Depression Scale of Korean version (SGDS-K). We compared the scores of each scales between the religiously affiliated group and the nonreligiously affiliated group and investigated the moderating effect of religious variables on the influence of depression in suicidal ideation. Results : Religiously affiliated group showed higher scores of organizational religious activity (ORA), non-organizational religious activity (NORA), intrinsic religiosity (IR) than the religiously non-affiliated group, and no differences in SIS and SGDS-K. However, IR had the moderating effect on the relationship between depression and suicidal ideation. Conclusion : IR could have positive effects on reducing suicidal ideation in the condition that they felt depressed, by moderating the negative effects of depression in the elderly with cognitive impairment.

A phase winding of RSM is excited and measured the excited winding inductance, mutual inductance, L_ d and L_ q is calculated from the measurement result. Tow rotors are manufactured for this paper, measured their inductance and compared the calculated equation with the conventional equation. This paper presents the 2nd excitation control of the wound-rotor induction motor with Fly-wheel. In the wound-rotor induction motor, the primary power is controlled by AC excitation which used the secondary power conversion. Based on theory, this paper describes the dynamic response analysis of the wound-rotor induction motor with Fly-wheel and Simulation using MA TLAB is performed to verify the proposed control method.
